Mine is a 94. Yesterday it began being hard to shift from 1st to 2nd, even at ~3000 rpms it doesn't shift, if I depress harder the pedal it seems it goes into power mode and doesn't shift at ~4000rpms. :sniff: No problem with shifting from 2nd to 3rd and so on, and reverse is ok. Indeed, it shifts from 1st to 2nd, but takes a loooong time to do so. More, if running downhill, I found there's no problem shifting 1st-2nd. I found a trick to force the shifting, when it gets near 2800-3000rpm, I release the pedal for a while and then depress it again, then it shifts 1st to 2nd. AT fluid seems fine. Power light comes up for 2 seconds like first check procedure from service manual, so it seems to be ok. I tried the next procedure but I guess I did something in the wrong order, 'cause no lights blinked at all, and the manual says it would blink anyway...

Humm... now I know what is missing in the front skid plate of my truck... I saw some kind of attaching points, but didn't know what was that for...

Yep... and that new cup holder I've posted there is now old and broken I need a new one...

How many miles do you get from a full tank?
flnl replied to zack1978's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
That's bad, the worst I got was about 250 city / 320 highway, but after replacing a bad fuel injector I'm getting 300 city / 430 highway. My Path has 122k miles on it, 2" tb lift and 255/75R15 AT tires. The high capacity of the "EMPTY" is very good to me... I've used it many times -

I don't know, but I think there may be more than 2 gallons, I've already run more than 10 miles in "EMPTY" -
Me too... I'm thinking about having someone build one for me, just don't know where to start... I'll have to draw what I want... I like that! Is it build or bought?
-
Yep, and with 6" BL it is very ugly... Maybe some kind of slider can help hiding it
-
And the one I told... 6" body lift 33" tires
-
Ok, this is one

(a long time without posting...) As you've been talking about stress & body lifts... What about a 6" body lift? I'm gonna post pictures later. There's a shop in Sao Paulo/Brazil who does the work and a guy from our Yahoo! forum put the BL in his Pathfinder. :o I'm wondering if that's secure at all...

Partially disagree... It's: 1/3 the truck 1/3 the driver 1/3 the bud outside saying "Here... Here... Turn Right! NOOOO! I MEANT LEFTTT! Ok... Come... Stop! No! STOP!!!! OW! WHAT A SH..... I DIDN'T SEE THAT ROCK!!!!!" (that's my wife "helping" me)

It happens to me just the first time I try to shift into 4HI. After that, if I have to disengage and shift into 4HI again while running, no problem. But for the first shift I allways have to stop, otherwise I'll hear those bad noises too. It's not necessary to stop and reverse to unlock the hubs, just in case it does not happen a while after you shift back to 2HI.

Where do you attach (can I say this?) your hi-lift if you need to lift the vehicle? I've heard the stock bumpers aren't strong enough, as well as the stock sidebars.

Same here! That's all I want! I've seen Castrol GTX High Mileage around here, but only 25W60. So I used Castrol Magnatech 10W40. I'm gonna search more, maybe I can find the GTX High Mileage 10W40... Oil change time is coming...
-
That's strange. The owners manual for my 95 recommends 5W30 for all climates. 10W30 is mentioned, but only above 0 degrees celcius. I use the Valvoline, or Quaker State high mileage, 5W30. So says the manual of mine. I'm using syntetic Castrol Magnatech 10W40.

Oh! And I thought I could bid US$50 and have some of you send it to me in a little box as a gift, so I won't need to pay Brazilian import taxes!

Yeah, that's what I used to check what the trouble code meant, as I weren't at home... I asked a friend to use his computer, went to he online shop manual address and translated the code, and throwed this question on NPORA. But nothing else than it, he's got a veery slowwwww internet connection....
-
Yeah, I came back home with no problems... today the check engine light was off, during the trip it came on and off... but no problems... just crappy
-
My 94 flashed the check engine light twice, then after a while it came on again and didn't off anymore. I checked the code and it's a 32 - EGR function. I just noticed a little lack of power. I have to go back to my town tomorrow, 100 miles away and down hill. Do ya think it will do any damage? I won't be able to repair it here. No time.
-
That's also what I did, the lights were coming on and the alarm firing in the middle of the night... just put two washers on each side and now it's fine.
-
And... Maybe it'd be better to use the supports as a template to build new ones... stronger ones...
-
I got them out yet. Hum... I think there's something missing... the bottom of the supports just touch the front end of the frame, there's no way to fix the bolts there. I guess there should be another part to attach the support to the frame... ????
-
It's being hard to take those bolts that fix the bars off... ugh...
