  1. Today & yesterday: - replaced the cord that keeps the tire carrier in place when open - wired and installed a AT fluid temp meter (sorry, too bright on photo) - illuminated the inclinometer - replaced the dashboard lights with leds (but ABS and OD are being illuminated by too bright red led light near them) - wired and installed new illuminated 12V outputs and courtesy lights on left & right rear doors - and new 12V outputs on the trunk room too
  2. I've bought a set of these in 2012. I don't know what for, here in Brazil it doesn't snow, even at the south where I live all that happens is an inch of half, 1/2 mile high in the mountains, one or two days a year But when I saw it on eBay I thought: "I want it!" Maybe a kitesurf board can fit there... but I don't play it
  3. The C-Clip is there. But the splines of the front anchor are stripped just as FUELER's photo. I guess it was improperly installed by the guys that rebuilt the tranny. I'm gonna check some JY to get "new" ones.
  4. I didn't have time to check it yet. Maybe that's missing. It is what keeps the anchor in place, isn't it?
  5. This just happened to mine, for the second time. The first one I was at a trail and thought it was caused by some bumps over rocks. Now it happened when I was going to work. I've just heard a large CLANK and the truck sat like a lowrider on the driver's side, while the passenger's side is lifted I didn't have time yet to check if the anchor or the tbar is stripped.
  6. Did the headlights mod - halfway, just inside engine bay, it still uses the original wiring to the headlights switch, but just to turn on the relays.
  7. Mine too, I took off all the stereo fuses (as it has gone crazy) but the stereo did not shut off. When I took the cig lighter fuse off, it did. When I put all fuses on again, everything was back to normal. No more troubles since then, but I have to check it someday...
  8. Put a new rubber hose for the snorkel. Added a backup buzz to the Pathfinder. :-)
  9. Took off the old rubber hoses from the snorkel... but couldn't put the new one in, it's too tight. Tomorrow I will take the fender out to do it.
  10. I bought it, will install asap! Thanks!
  11. I mean, buy an oil temp sender & gauge kit and use it to check tranny temp, will it work ok? It is hard to find transmission temperature gauges around here.
  12. Replaced the LEDs fromthe third brake light with LED strips. And found that the tranny has been overfilled.
  13. Can I use oil temp sensor & gauge instead of a tranny specific ones?
  14. Trying to fix the torn sunvisor hinge... still
  15. Trying to fix the torn sunvisor hinge, again...
  16. Yep, this I did, bit how to separate the red lens from the black plastic? It seems glued...
  17. Tried to fix the torn sun visor hinge. And to open the high monted stop light lens. No success.
  18. Adjusted the torsion bars, since the front were a bit down after the tranny rebuild. Serviced the air conditioner - Summer is coming!
  19. Fixed the passenger's side electric mirror, it hadn't been working for months... and I found that it was just because the connectors are disconnected! Also there was a high squeek from the glass when I press the down button, it was just a dry rubber. Put some sound deadeners on both front doors.
  20. Mine kept blowing some white smoke for a long time, I guess it took about 100 miles to stop blowing it and run ok again, but just less than 10 liters of diesel where put in the tank. I guess it takes a while to clean all the fueling system from the oil. I've just put one bottle of Bardahl or STP injector cleaner.
  21. That happened to mine once, the guy who filled it in the gas station (here in Brazil we don't have self service) got confused (many trucks here are diesel) and filled it with diesel. It just run 100 meters and started to do just like you said, sputtering and blowing white smoke. I had to drain all the tank, fill it with gas, add some injector cleaner stuff and run it a lot, it took almost a week to be ok again.
  22. Well, he bought the transmission from a 00/01. Thanks!
