Bought this in a junkyard for $10... The Path it came from was "sandwiched" between two big trucks Do you think it is recoverable? Maybe I can use some kind of machine to press the mounts to be flat again...
-
Wish I had one... but their price were +- US$4000 more than gas ones when I bought my 94... :sniff: BTW, do anyone know where can I get a service manual for the TD27?
-
I meant... the shop asked US$160 for the alignment job plus the frame alignment... I don't know if I'm explaining it well in English... and I don't know much about alignment, also I'm considering if it will be better to save the money to buy the UCAs from RoughCountry first and then retry the basic alignment
-
The whole work (front frame align, caster & camber adjust) was quoted about US$ 160. The wheel alignment would be US$ 20. I was involved in an accident, months ago, but a very light one, just a small damage to the front bumper. Also, I reindexed and cranked the torsion bar for almost 3" of lift.
-
Went to a tires shop to align but they couldn't... I had to go to an specialist and after all he said it'll be necessary to align the frame (front) as well as correct caster and camber. Is it reasonably common (having to align the frame)?

As a gift up to US$ 50 (if they believe it)

WOW! That's what we around here in Brazil are lookin' for. Good and cheap Since shipping and import taxes increases price too much for us 2x/3x I'm gonna tell the guys about it... but... If someone else calls RoughCountry, could also ask if they ship to Brazil? By the cheapest way... maybe by horse

Yeah! Me too!

I have a promotional folder for the 1993 Pathfinder, it says that the LSD is optional for both XE-V6 and SE-V6. For the XE-V6, it says it comes in the optional XE-V6 Sport/Power Package, which includes exterior spare tire carrier, spare tire cover, limited-slip rear dif, fog lamps, power windows, power door locks, dual heated power remote-controlled outside mirrors, rear window release and remote vehicle security system. For the SE-V6, it says it comes in the optional SE-V6 Sport Package, which includes 7JJx15 alloy wheels, 31x10.5R15 tires, exterior spare tire carrier, spare tire cover, limited-slip rear dif, fog lamps, flip-up/removable glass sunroof, 2-way driver-adjustable shock absorbers, rear disc brakes and full-length side step rails. Thos items that are part of the XE-V6 Sport/Power Package but are not listed in the SE-V6 Sport Package (like power windows, power door locks, dual heated power remote-controlled outside mirrors, rear window release and remote vehicle security system) are standard in the SE-V6. Hey, I've reindexed and cranked the t-bars, now the UCAs are 1" from the bumpstops. I've read cranking the t-bars will cause the toe-in effect in the tires, I mean, the top of the tires will be more inside the fenders than the bottom //==\\. I didn't aligned it yet, but I noticed the opposite: something like a toe-out \\==//. It wasn't like that before. Could it be caused by the reindex?

I guess that a body lift you can buy from AC (http://www.4x4.parts.com), they sell body lifts from Performance Accessories (http://www.performanceaccessories.com/), and can be 2" or 3" high. I guess the only concern is about the shifting to 4L (http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4043).
-
I just know from 94 on, but I guess they're the same... Try searching in Pathfinder 1994 Service Manual and Pathfinder 1994 Service Manual (supplement).

Nice shots!

1 - Susp lift, not JGC coils 'cause they're $$$$$$200-300 around here. I've put $60 Ford Maverick but I'm still testing, after 3 weeks on-road I'll go wheelin' this weekend and see how it goes... 2 - Skid plates, maybe next week if I'm not lazy and go down the truck and draw the skids in a paper so I can have someone fabbing it for me... 3 - Idler arm brace, together with the skid plates... 4 - Tires, mines are Wrangler AT 255, I'd like 32" Muds but I'll be happy with 31" Muds... 5 - Maybe a snorkel... 6 - A custom bumper that can hold a winch... 7 - Some nice friends to go wheelin' with me and whenever I'm stuck they give me the beer and get out of the car and push it off the mud for me...

I don't think measuring from the bumper to ground would be the better way to compare lifts... as long as measuring from the fender to the ground, it can be affected by the tire size. Alright, we can say "mine is a 31", "mine is a 255" and so on, but even the same nominal tire size can differ much depending of the brand. BFGoodrich 31" are 882mm, Goodyear Wranglers 31" are 877mm, just 1/2" higher than Goodyear Wranglers 255/75-15 which measures 863mm. I think it is better to measure from the center of the wheel (at the middle of the center cap) vertically to the begginning of the fender flares. That way, we'll only have two variables: 1 - people who don't have a fender flare will measure to the fender and then subtract let's say 2" (I don't know exactly) 2 - people who have a body lift will subtract the amount of body lift, for example, 3" I guess this way we can ignore the very highly variable tire size...

I only got the information contacting Bilstein in Germany, thanks to Mr. Guenter Hein (jahoolt!) from Bilstein Motorsports Dept. According to him: Front F4-BE5-2791-H0 ext. - 14.016" comp. - 9.803" travel - 4.213" Rear F4-BE5-2792-H0 ext. - 22.677" comp. - 14.213" travel - 8.464" As in topic http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=3036: Front RS5252 ext. - 14.250" comp. - 9.635" travel - 4.615" RS5214 (alternate) ext. - 14.990" comp. - 9.700" travel - 5.290" Rear RS5118 ext. - 22.250" comp. - 14.000" travel - 8.250" RS5116 (alternate) ext. - 24.000" comp. - 14.875" travel - 9.125" The front shocks are really shorter than RS5252. I don't think they will fit, mainly with a front lift. Rear shocks are have a bit longer travel than RS5118, a bit more length extended and compressed. But I don't know if that 0.427" of extra extended length and 0.214" of extra travel will work fine with 2"-3" of rear lift.
-
I'm basically interested in the ones for the rear. No problems if the fronts don't fit, the guy is selling the set for what should be US$ 60.
-
Hummm.... How many Litres have a US Gallon? 3.75? 3.6? Well, let's say in Brazil it is US$3.50-3.60, mixed with 25% of anihydre alcohol
-
International Brazil to USA But maybe the deal worth the call, or I could send www.bilstein.de an e-mail. Hope they don't answer in German.
-
Do you belive there's no e-mail for contacting Bilstein at their USA site???
