    Tow hook

My 94 Pathfinder owner's manual says only to tow the wagon from the hook on the passenger side front, and the holes on passenger side rear. Why can't I use the driver's side also? Is there anything to do with the steering?
  2. Looks great! Mine pathy color is grey, I'm wondering if black will look as great as in yours...
  3. Mines are bad too. I'm thinking of painting them. Don't know if it's gonna work and last...
  4. Wasn't it Car-Parts.com ?
  5. What are "sway-a-way" torsion bars? A brand?
  6. Humm... what to do I don't know... but sometimes my car smells like exhaust gas... gonna check that too...

    Front end?

Hum... something like that is happening to my Pathy too... I'm gonna spend some time this weekend checkin'... as well as cleaning some mud that is still under the body
  8. I found the K7 player on a auction site. It's a Clarion.
  9. OOOOPSS! It was a 19mm (3/4") wrench. The 10mm I used for another job.
  10. Yeah, I used only the jack and jack stands to lift and support the vehicle, wd-40 to free the nuts, and a 10mm wrench. Or two... the lock nut and the adjuster nut where turning together
  11. Mine speakers are killed. Every bass sound sounds bad... I have (I gues they're stock) a k7 player (CK581) and a CD player (PV705) installed. Are they Bose? Or what brand? They don't have the logo. I don't want to change the system for now, I just want to replace the killed speakers. But I heard someone say their impedance was 1 ohm. So I've looking in the internet for some tech info about these players. But didn't find any at all.
  12. I measured from the ground to the fender flare, but since the measure from the ground to the center of the rim is not affected, I subtracted it (14" in mine). Start points Driver side 14"3/4 Passenger side 14"1/4 Ending points Driver Side 16"1/4 Passenger side 16" Turns Driver Side 7 1/2 Passenger Side 8 1/2
  13. Oh sorry, forgot to cut the end of the message...
  14. Where did you want to go? Hawaii?
  15. And what about all that harness? They're not protected from the water... Event underneath the car there are lots...
  16. I cranked it more so it's 3/4" higher now. It's 1"3/4 than before I began cranking the torsion bars. I've been thinking of reindexing it, but I didn't understand well how to do it. I'm gonna look the topics and links about it and maybe I'll do it a little bit.
  17. Today I went down of my 94 Path to search for the breathers' locations. I'm surprised that there are already hoses from the breathers to a higher point, near the fuses inside the engine compartment. Well, I can't say that I'm completely sure of this. I don't have much mechanics knowledge... but what I saw made me wonder this. Is this stock? Or part of something like the Sport Package?
  18. That's another stuff I plan to do. Maybe later you can tell us how you did it, in another topic.
  19. I found the location of the air breather in the transfer. Transfer But not the other ones. I'll have to go down the truck and look for them.
  20. I cranked the t-bars and the front was lifted a little more than 1". I guess I can go to 1"1/2 - 1"3/4 and have no problems in the alignment, so I'll gain some months for saving for new UCAs, am I correct?
  21. Yes, I measured, and I did lift it about 1"1/4 each side. I thought I read someone say that started with 4 turns. I'm afraid of tightening too much. But I did 5 and I guess I can do more, so I'll turn maybe 2 on driver's and 3 on passenger's side (which is already a little bit lower) and run a few miles with the car to test.
  22. sw, your Pathy have a snorkel. Did you put it or it was there when you bought the car? And do the hoses are connected to the snorkel?
  23. I guess I need to use that hoses with a cloth over it (sorry for my English, I don't know how to call it) I have to go below the rig to see what size the hose should be. So if any of you know it, let me know
  24. Do any of you have connected hoses to the air breathers to elevate them, so that the water is not breathed in and mixed with the oil when crossing rivers?
  25. Do any of you remember or ever have an idea of how many turns you did when cranking the torsion bars? I thought I've read someone talkin'about it, but couldn't find the topic. I did five for now. I'm thinking of doing more two turns...
