  1. Brazilian import taxes = 60% Shipping = $50, $100, or more? That would make, for example, the Safari snorkel price rise from US$285 to 520. Ugly... So I have to double check all possibilities before discarding...
  2. I went to a shop from a well know suspension expert from here today, asking about what he could do to lift my truck. Oh, yeah, I know all the discussions and lifts you did. But as a friend of mine had talked to the guy last year I just wanted to know what he thinks, what he could work on. He said he could build coil spacers for the rear, crank the t-bars... And also rebuild the stock shocks so they could have a longer play, and that the shocks won't loose the adjustable feature... The question: How do the electronic adjustable shock absorbers from Pathfinders work?
  3. Yeah, I think I'm gonna do that way. AC just replied my e-mail, and estimates that shipping to Brazil will be about US$ 130... so 3" BL + BL liners + Brazilian import taxes + shipping = US$ 410... I'll just buy the body lift kit!
  4. OK! I'm gonna buy the BL kit and the BL liners. I've asked AC about a estimative for S&H to Brazil. Mine's got the mechanical fan, but the drop kit I'll have someone here fab it for me, it will cost me much less $$$ than the AC kit because of import taxes plus shipping costs.
  5. Are these adjustable steering bump stops stock in the Path or you bought them somewhere? And... Did you have any issues using 33" in 15x7 lego wheels? Did the fit fine?
  6. I've just bought the gaskets and the revised studs are coming (will be here in a week, the dealer didn't have it here). I expect to be replacing the studs next week. I thought I would have a little better gas mileage after fixing it... So it isn't possible?
  7. You mean you put 32" in yours without any lifting? And just a bit of rubbbing?
  8. BTW, I'm almost going to buy a 3" BL from AC, I'm just worried about the issue of shifting to 4L... I've seen many of you talking about it... Did any of you make a mod to solve it?
  9. Homemade snorkel (step by step from older MrJim's site)
  10. He just "mirrored" (is it correct) the image in Photoshop...
  11. Rear lift with JGC coil springs Cranking the torsion bars Reindexing the torsion bars You'll find a lot more if you use the "Search"
  12. AC also sells a radiator drop down kit and body lift liners, so it seems to me there's more stuff we need than what the BL kit has. Well, I knew body lift liners is just a matter of appearance. What about the radiator drop down kit?
  13. Let me try it too... Pathfinder Pathfinder Pathfinder +1
  14. Probably it is rubbing because the torsion bar is sagged, so if you crank it up or reindex the rubing will stop. But it will only raise the front end. To raise the rear end you'll have to add a poliurethane block or change the stock coils. The front end of mym Pathy was a little bit down, I just crank it up to get 1"1/2 and now it is almost back to original height. The tires are Goodyear Wrangler AT 255/75R15, diameter 763mm (30"). No rubbing. I don't think it would rub if I had Wrangler 31" instead, they are just 777mm (30"1/2 truly). As I'm planning to change to a nominal 31" which is truly about 800mm (31"1/2), I'll be reindexing the torsion bars this week and see what happens... The tires will be delivered in 3 or 4 weeks and are mudder ones...
  15. Some day I'll do it... but for me the price is 2x.... 60% import taxes + shipping... :sniff:
  16. Yep, I've downloaded the pages you zipped, it really says 2 per side. I have a CD with Nissan software that retrieves the part numbers, it's the same that guy used to check the part number. It says 2 per vehicle, but it's badly wrong. I'll buy more two bushings. Money flie$$$$...
  17. Yesterday I went to Nissan's dealer to buy some bushings. Asked for 4 UCAs bushings, but the guy said they are just 2 per vehicle, one per UCA. Part #54506-B9500. It seems to me that they are 2 per UCA, one on each side of the upper link spindle, so they are 4 per vehicle. Am I correct?
  18. Three weeks ago I just took off the heat shield of the passenger's side exhaust to take a look, I didn't see any washer nor nut on the upper left stud, just the stud was there. Do you know what size of stud extractor I'll need? Tks, Fernando
  19. 1 - How much time to take off the manifold to check the studs? 2 - Would I be able to see if any studs are broken without taking the manifold off? 3 - Is there any problem if I put the manifold in place after checking the studs or should I replace the gasket? 4 - Do the ticking sound necessarily means that there is a broken stud? Thinking about doing it by myself...
  20. I think I'll have to do the work soon... there's a (low) ticking sound coming from the manifold... BTW, what means SNAFU?
