  1. okay so I took out my intake resonator to cut it and make the mods to the box. I disconnected a wire thinking nothing of it at the time. When I reinstalled, the service engine soon light was on. It runs and drives fine, but the light bothers me. I tried disconnecting the battery negative cable for a few minutes but that didnt help at all. The autozone guy who read the codes said it was the intake air temp sensor that was going wrong. So are their any ideas as how to fix it? I mean I have a 4hr drive back to school tomorrow and dont want to risk anything with it. What exactly does this sensor control and can it hurt anything? Any help is much appreciated.
  2. Im interested in this 4 link stuff, want to pm me some info on it?
  3. Pics of how you do the trail gear sliders would be greatly appreceated
  4. I would love too see pics of what you have come up with and would def be interested if you came into the market with a good option for the Vq powered models
  5. Okay, well the last 2 posts are kinda miss leading. If you are using stock rims you can fit a 285-75-16 tire (32.8x11.5) tire without rubbing if you use 1.5in wheel spacers up front. The spacers are only needed in the front so ONE set should work just fine. And spacers are not 200 bucks a pair, I got my 1.5in spacers shipped for 85 and have not had a problem. And I am running the 32.8x11.5 on stock rims without any problems and no rubbing have been for a year now. Check in the How To Section I made a very detailed topic about how to fit a 285 75 16 tire on the 2in lift with stock rims, all your questions should be answered there. Dont let people tell you it cant be done, cause obviously it can
  6. Most of the time I have more problems with the jackstands than I do jacking up the truck. I usually wind up putting the jackstands on cinderblocks or cut railroad ties And yes, r50's do have alot of clearance! My pathy with the 2in lift on 285-75-16 (33) has more ground clearance than my buddies 6.5in lifted chevy on 35's. This is because he has a massive drop bracket in the front and our rigs dont since is about as high as you can lift without doing a sfd
  7. My jack works pretty good for me and its a 3 1/4 ton jack. Ill take some measurements when I go home this weekend.
  8. A strut brace for the engine bay would be pretty sweet. But it would vary for the different models being the 3.3 and 3.5 motors
  9. Yeah no problems with that, im running 11.5 on stock wheels without any problems and I have heard of people running 12.5 on x7's so a x8 should be more than enough.
  10. Why did you paint your step rails gold?
  11. You had trouble with your bolts too I see
  12. Nice, looks kinda like mine. Curious to see if you can come up with a design to cut down on noise.
  13. Yup and if I open my sunroof the light shines in lighting up the entire cabin Take some pics lets see how it turned out!
  14. Oh @!*%, that sucks man. Guess I will have to put checking those up on my to do list.
  15. Im never one for flashy wheels on a 4x4 it defeats the purpose. Steel wheels look the part of a 4x4 all while being a whole lot stronger and cheaper
  16. No steps and get rid of those wheels!
  17. The engine should not have moved at all vertically when you did you SFD. Seems like alot of work to me, im going to go take a peak later and see if there is a way to make one fit somehow or ponder up some idears
  18. Wow, I actually have too say im with Fueler with this....never thought that would happen!
  19. Videos, camera really does not do it justice. Im going to borrow a fiends hopefully and take some better video and some fly by's 0-60 in about 8 seconds with 33's Rev
  20. Teaser, will have all the pics and hopefully a video or two up tommorrow night after class.
  21. Just installed, took about 30 minutes hardest part was taking out the old box. IT SOUNDS AWESOME ON THE VQ!!!!!!!!! It sounds like a 350z and makes the vq a load more throaty. Driving through parking garages it sounds incredible. I can feel a little bit of power add too its the best 120 bucks I have EVER SPENT!! Pics and videos up later tonight or tomorrow sometime.
