Dont listen to what they say about a 3.75 offset wheel. Most people are thrown off by that, in reality if you are going to run 31's which will likely be a 10.5 wide, a wheel with a 3.75 bs would be necessary to clear the front strut and not rub while turning. But since im assuming you want to put on a 285-75(33)if you run a 3.75 bs wheel in the back it will rub and not be able to flex. So basically im running a bigger size tire than what AC says will fit on the lift. It just took more persuasion You can still get a new set of wheels if you like but if you are going to run a 285-75 make sure they are a 4.25 or 4.50 bs and then buy a spacer for the front. Plus on the bright side wheels with a 4.25 or 4.50 bs are easier to find and tend to be cheaper As far as the lift kit goes, I would advise not to purchase an actual package deal from ac. The only parts that you truly need from them are the actual lift springs. You can save a bit more money by getting the rear shocks, Manual Locking Hubs and front struts else where, or if you dont feel like doing that then just order a package, its up to you, if you want to put in the time to find the right model struts and shocks, or just buy from ac and pay a bit more but know that the parts will definitely fit.

Filling In Holes In Fenders
01silvapathy replied to exit34rocker1017's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Whatever you wind up doing, make sure to take pics and post what you do, because im likely going to have to take off my fenders as well. -
Hey tmorgan If you have any other extended brake lines id be interested. I have been running all over town to try and find a place to do it with no success. One place said they could but their machine was broken, and they needed to see the line off the vehicle. So I went and got a stock line and im going to bring it up there tomorrow to get a definate answer. But if David doesnt want it i will take it for 20 bucks! Just to clarify the brake line that needs to be extended is the rubber one that goes down to the hard lines kinda next to the diff breather correct?

Mid Skid Plate Project Is ...*FINISHED*

Lookin awesome man I wish I had your creativity and brains to get stuff like this done! -
Well whats so wrong with your bumper now? Its hard to tell with just the dark pic but what exactly is wrong? If its just cosmetic take it off and paint it, or leave it on and paint it. If you are looking for more lighting go with a roof mounted lighting system. I have 4 roof lights on my pathy, 2 500w Flood Lights and 2 550w driving lights. It works pretty well and throws out a ton of light. I would imagine that you could mount your "emergency" lights on a roof bar as well. You could even setup flashers and strobes probably, just as long as you have th right wiring and harness. I know you said you wouldnt like silverstars but you should really try them out, I was skeptical at first also but then I got a set and im now loving the amount of light they throw out, its ALOT brighter than stock Here is a pic of my setup on my roof. Too bad you were not closer you could just have my old bumper since im building a custom steel one this summer oh well. Just check around junkyards and keep your eyes peeled. Also try car-parts.com you can select what part you are looking for off of what year and it will list local jy's in your area that have the part you are looking for and the distance and price

Yay for my thread coming back and being useful! The front grille is actually pretty easy to remove, just 2 snaps on either side and one center snap where the hood latch is, take and pinch close those snaps and the grille should pop right out. After that its pretty easy to work on, as to if they fit with the model year difference is not known to me.
-
Wow man, you really outdid yourself with this one! Glad we have you to mod and figure out stuff for the r50's instead of the older less powerfull wd21's
-
Id assume that you welded your strut spacers, Danak? How else would you make them? One more quick question, how long are the brake lines needing to be for a 4in sfd with 2in coils?
-
Okay, but some people have suggested to put in the blocks just with bolts then weld in the blocks once you know you have no problems. I really dont want to pull the front diff twice in one weekend lol. Maybe I will just put locktite on the bolt and hope for the best.
-
Thanks for the info! Was going to try and leave the front diff in, but it looks as if there is no way around it

Okay yall, so incase some of you didnt hear I finally got all my stuff from alex to do my sfd, including hardware! So im looking to install here probably around memorial day. I have a few questions though 1. Engine lift blocks, I was looking under the pathy last night and saw that the passenger side engine block is easily accesable and will be easy to place the block on, but the drivers side however, I couldnt even find lol. How in gods name did yall manage to find the engine support and manage to get a wrench up there with enough room to work and take off the bolt???? That seems like it will be the biggest hurdle to over come when installing this sfd. 2. Brake Lines- I have a small window of time when I can install the sfd at my buddies house where he has every possible tool imaginable to use, but between now and then i dont have a way to come up with the money to get extended brake lines made. I have the AC lift coils and my sfd is 4in. I dont plan on doing any wheeling between now and then so no real flexing of the axle just street driving. Will it be okay to drive a bit before I get a extended line? Or is a must have? Can I just simply take another stock line and attach it to make it longer? Im a newb with brake stuff lol. 3. While lowering the sub frame did yall just put a jack under the oil pan and support that while you drop the rest down with another jack? Or did you take out the front axle? Whats the best way to attack it? Thanks for all the help and hopefully answers guys!
-
Yeah, im looking into disconnects for other vehicles like jeeps and seeing if I can somehow retrofit one onto the pathy. Might have to be welded on though.
-
Okay, so im just bored at home and wondering how many people have taken off their front sway bar? I have had my rear sway bar off now for over a year and I didnt notice any difference taking that off, but then again the stock rear sway bar is minsecule compared to the front sway bar. For those of you who have taken them off, how does it ride after you take it off? Would anyone advise against taking it off for anything else other than wheeling? Might just take it off, drive it for a day and see if it scares me enough to put it back on Thanks for any input

I agree, look in the pinned topics and use the search button.

Top Speed limiter, at 104. Well nissan claims its limited to 104, but the fastest I have gone with the 33's is 101 confirmed by a GPS navigation unit with a speedometer in it
-
Dude, you cant be serious http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLKnWrEa6LU
-
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA poor poor boy, coulda had a VQ But in all seriousness I can still hit 60 in about 8 seconds with 33's And can hit the limiter if I have an open stretch of road
-
Yeah man, well there is def a big difference between your springs and mine. I will go take more accurate tomorrow since I ran out in the rain today and quickly ran a tape measure down to measure the height. But look behind your fender flares and see if they can be trimmed at all, like if there is extra plastic coming down before where the metal for the fender starts. That can be where some of the difference is? Onto the sliders situation. I would not get those trail gear sliders, mainly because you dont have a legit frame to bolt them too. They are great for vehicles with frames my buddy has those sliders on his truck, but I imagine that they would be a PITA to mount without some custom made brackets. Look at fleurys build thread at the sliders he made. I would imagine that you could take his mounting idea with like a kinda sleve to fit around the "frame rail" that is under the R50 and weld the sliders to that, but I dont know if I would chance it. I plan on doing something similar this summer when I build sliders. Edit- In terms of settling of the springs, im not too sure that I have noticed anything. Its hard to tell since I never took meaurements of the fenders right after the lift was installed, and I was on different tires at the time, and im on diff tires now, its really hard to see any difference, If I had measurements it would be alot easier to know
-
Thornbirds are probably the worst off road tire ever made, you would have better luck off road with a racing slick.
-
Okay so my fender measurements are 37 and 3/4 inches pretty even front and rear.

Who wants a set of aftermarket suspension links?

TAKE PICS -
EmptyV, I am charging my digital camera as I type and will have fender measurements for you later tonight
-
Because he was being an ass, passing people on the shoulder, so when he tried to do it to me...I floored it
-
The top, as far as I remember does not. But the edges like around where the bumper is and halfway down the fender on the door side the tire starts to stick out. I will take better pics tomorrow along with take some fender measurements. Im in the process of moving out of my dorm and going back home, so I may have dropped a few cm with all my junk in the trunk

I never really knew Jared, but my sincerest appologies go out to his family and friends. Occasions like this really make one stop and take a minute to be grateful for what they have.
