Sweet man! Glad to see another R50 on 33's The increased height and stance really sets the truck's mood and gives it a whole new look. What size spacers did you wind up going with, did you return the smaller ones and go with the 1.5in? Edit: One more question are those wheels x8's?

Man im liking the look of those grey flares against the silver paint........another thing I can paint in my spare time with my left over paint Oh the pathys lookin good too, those tires give it a nice stance

Im not that dumb I took off the grill, sanded it down with 180 grit paper, than sprayed 2 coats of filler primer on it, and waited for it to dry than followed that up with 3 coats of wheel paint. It turned out pretty well, and im glad that I didnt get to put a coat of clear on it because that would look wayyyy tooo shiny!

So its just the 2in lift? Why would he need a panhard drop?

Eh, I like the look of the LE grille. It looks more sophisticated and like it belongs. Never liked the look of the SE grille looks kinda cheap to me, its the basis of most cheap car grilles today like the Focus, Cobalt, Versa ect.

The commuter lot at my college lol. Its a HUGE lot and it basically is abandoned over the weekend and pretty much only 1/4 full during the weekend. Its a big open area where we can rev our engines, spill oil and gas on the floor and not worry about anyone bothing us about it, or being nosy. The cops always come around and ask us what we are doing and they have come accustomed to us working out there now they just stop by and see what our latest job is. The campus cops here are pretty nice always complimenting us and never giving us a problem with anything we do. In fact while we were seafoaming my friends truck a cop came speeding over with his lights on cause he saw fumes coming from under the truck (cutouts) and though the truck was on fire Then we had to tell him what we were doing lol. I have been looking into this also. I have talked with alex about it a few times and he said its a pretty easy swap to do. Its esp useful while wheeling. Hope that someone more knowlegeable than me tunes in to answer some questions.

Got it, the pop clips on the drivers side are a PITA to get too, and there is a clip on the hood latch thingy. But I got it off and painted, here are some pics of what it looks like. I think it turned out pretty well for some left over wheel paint and an hour of my time

Im also wondering where ppl got their lines from. Im going to be installing my sfd here in a month or so, so I need to find out where to get some made.

Yeah thats what I was thinking of doing. The main thing I couldnt figure out how to remove was the hood release mechanism. Its like popped into the grill support of something.

So im wanting to remove my front chrome grill and paint it graphite because there is no other chrome trim on the truck and it just kinda looks wierd to me. Has anyone ever taken off the grille? Is it a hard process if it is it may not be worth breaking the grill to just get a different color on it. Here is a pic, im just wanting to paint the chrome piece to match the center piece that comes as a graphite color stock.

Fueler did you notie a gain of any sorts when you put this on?

Yeah I just saw that they had a specific one for the pathy's vq. Once I get some money this summer this is a definite mod for the pathy!

I may get one of those pop chargers for my VQ over the summer once I have money. Its alot cheaper than a K&N intake. Fueler, do you have pics of how it mounts up? It looks to me like there is no tube, just a plate that im guessing attaches to the throttle body, and then the air filter attaches to that? Im not to versed with engine stuff. Edit: Just did some digging and apparently this Jim Wolf Technology aka JWT is pretty popular esp with all the 350z and G35 guys. The install looks really straight forward. Take off the stock air box, remove the tube that holds the MAF and then reinstall it on the new air filter and then re install it using the old air intake hose. Now if this fits as easily into a pathy is unknown. Fueler you have the vg pop charger but im just wondering how different the Pathys VQ air intake is from a G35 or 350Z intake? I guess I could just wait til I get home and look at my dads to see if it would work or not. The engine bay on the pathy is bigger, and im guessing I wouldnt have a problem with the heat shield, just the mounting of the actual filter. Im going to email someone at that website and ask a few questions. It seems like it really lets that signature VQ sound out after its installed, which is super nice sounding
