  1. The pathfinder is running again! I spent hours trying to troubleshoot a no start. It turns out I had hooked up the fuel feed hoses backwards. I switched it and it fired up on first crank. It really had really bad lifter tap but went away as it warmed up. I drove it forwards and reverse in the parking lot to test the transmission. I'll do a highway test when I modify my shocks to fit. I just need to drill out the metal sleeves to 5/8th inch so I can use these shocks.
  2. Updates are great to threads like these. What was the issue with the distributor?
  3. Got the pathfinder back together to get it started... And it won't start.. I can't remember if I hooked up the fuel lines correct as well as the vacuum hoses.
  4. I ended hacking my rear pipe off and putting a turn down for now. Loud inside the cab and the drone can drive you mad Lol.
  5. It's very safe. Atf is high in detergents and will clean out most of deposits in the engine.
  6. I am looking for the pinout for a 93 auto 4x4 model. I want to know what differences there are between the 94 model and 93. I k of that the 94+ went to electric speedo so I want to make sure if the tcm directly tied the signal to shift patterns.
  7. I am looking for the pinout for a 93 auto 4x4 model. I want to open what differences there are between the 94 model.
  8. So jelly. I've been looking for SE seats to swap in my XE
  9. Could be the lifters. You didn't check the con rod bearings? Did the cylinder walls looked good? Pinpoint the source of the noise with a stethoscope.
  10. Codes would be a first start. Timing. Stripped woodruff key. Bad O2 sensor, bad injectors. Bad ecu. Bad ground.
  11. Have them fix it or refund you back some of the cost. I went to the pick and pull and got me a power steering bracket and took some pictures.
  12. Hoping to have the pathfinder running today maybe.
  13. Lowe's and Home Depot have them in stock. Even the mom and pop locksmith places carries them. It would make no sense to throw away stock when money can be made. If you are out in BFE then you can order from Amazon or Ebay.
  14. The pathfinder is a tank alright. Rip Pathfinder. You did your owners well.
  15. Why did you change out your ECM? Was this issue present prior to switching out the ECM? Did you do anything else besides change out the ECM? Do you notice any performance issues? Perhaps record and upload what you are hearing.
  16. Did you get the wiring resolved with the shifter?
  17. It was good and it helped with the 33s. I only had it for maybe a year or so before I wrecked the truck. What you can do is get the specs of the monroe and find something similar.
  18. I used a monroe shock. #SC2939 http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Nissan+pathfinder+steering+damper You can see pictures of it on my old Ifs setup. All you really have to do is go to an auto parts store and they can look it up.
  19. To convert the 2wd to 4wd. You have to remove the tail housing, open up the transmission and to remove the snap ring that holds the output shaft in and slide the long shaft out and swap it out with your short shaft. Unless you really don't care and don't mind the differences. It'll work. You'll need to swap you're wire harness over.
  20. It should not matter but later is generally better as it's newer. I think maybe the torque converter changed slightly. You won't know the difference. If you have a 4wd then look at 4wd. The 2wd pathy version has a taller first gear. Not something you want on a 4x4 especially the pathfinder. Also the 2wd has one less clutch plate and steel than the 4wd.
  21. By yourself a little propane torch at the hardware store
