You might, they are still covered in Evans Creek mud though I hit them pretty hard, there are a few gouges in them, I will get some pics soon.

You can do it either way, Ive done it both ways depending on what I was doing. Reinstalling the engine with the tranny already in the car is fairly easy. Up to you on how you want to do it. I would just keep the tranny mounted in the truck where its at.

I have to say these sliders are the best investment I have made so far on the pathy. I can not afford a lift until I finish school in 1-2 years so I though if I at least up armor a tad I can play with the big boys so to speak. Evans was a true test of these bad boys. I was between Mr. Pickles and 5523 all day on Saturday and they can attest they saved my ride. All day they heard the sliders sliding over rocks while I pulled my self over. They did not even budge when slammed onto. I highly recommend them if you have the resources to make them work! I will post pics of what damage the huge boulders may of done once I wash the rig, as they are packed with mud.

Yea I ordered up the guesset kit, and welded the plates to the unibody. The unibody is fairly strong as I was running around 19volts and never even blew through the side. The pinch seam has no bolts going through it, I have about a 1/2 gap between the rocker and slider. I jacked it up in the middle and at both ends and it did not even budge though, the real test will be when I slam down on it.

After kissing a tree at Jim 1 and denting my door and rocker I started looking for some sliders for the R50. After Steve posted his Trail Gear sliders on His WD I decided I could make those fit. So I started talking to him about them and finally decided to buy them from Rugged Rocks. When the UPS man finally arrived he didn't look to happy while grunting and groaning, I mean come on its only 70lbs. That should be one arm able. I started examining all the parts and they all had an oily residue to help stem off the rust which worked very well. All in all with the Gusset Kit, sliders and shipping to WA it was around $180 which beats the R50 specific sliders by a ton. The next day, I decided to start mocking them up. I found certain areas to place the plate kit you can buy extra and finally decided on 3 spots. After the mounting spots were figured out, I to dent 6 spots for the Pinch seam since our "frame" sits almost flush with it. Here you can see 1 of 6 dents I had to make Next I mocked up the sliders themselves with my hi-tech angle set device and I have them set up at 25* as this was the highest I could go with our rocker design without having to drop the bottom of the slider down. Here they are all painted up. About how far they stick out First test, final test will be at Jim 2. Front tire up with no flex in the slider. So there is the run down on the Trail Gear sliders from Rugged Rocks. Thanks again Steve, you the man!

Great Write up Derek also x2 on the C-clamp, I usually leave the old pad on the pistons and squeeze down on it, to make sure both pistons go in at the same time.

Sliders, though if you have a built bumper I'm sure you could jack from under the front or rear.

Man that is some beautiful looking snow nice and fluffy, Check out Fleury's skid plates, http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=22475 they are aluminum and from what I gather pretty badda$$, Hes a good guy and can hook you up! That will take care of the front. For the mid section you can try and coax fleury's in to making another belly pan, though that might take a lot of work. Other then that if you can source some Black panther skids Im pretty sure they cover the entire belly.

Im going to take a wild guess and assume the windoe vent visors, so you can crack your window when its raining. If so, If they don't fit then I would pick up some Weathertech ones. They are top of the line build and snap into your window channel which makes them leak proof without the tape and makes for a much cleaner look which is why I have them. Weathertech

I6s are tons of fun and its sad to see them go, I just finished rebuilding my buddies 200 for his 66 mustang, and you can't beat the sound with a split header like its been mentioned. Here is a small clip of the 200 after I did the exhaust on it. mmm good

Do you know if its just the front markers? Sometimes when I short out my lights putting my boat in the water because I forget to unplug:whistle: It zaps my running lights which would be my front markers but also my dash lights. In my case it was the one I have an arrow next to, 10 amp

Nothing better then hitting the switch and smearing what little dirt you had on your windshield during a light sprinkle because it doesn't work, is there a fuse for it? I can't find it under the dash or in either of the two boxes in the engine compartment. Just another one of those things to fix, thanks.

Stock I would get 18-19 driving if I drove sanely, now I stay around 14-15...

Heh I have quite a few items that needs fixing -rattle in my exhaust somewhere -Bad Starter---as long as I have my trusty crescent wrench to beat the starter Im good--- Though it is a pain to have to have 2 people to start the rig -leaky right rear window water just pours in if it rains, so I have black electrical tape around the seam, haha -cracked windshield -make a mount for my intake Ive had a bungee cord holding it up -Fairly decent oil leak coming from somewhere I know there is more sadly I just recently fixed my brakes heh

yea I had the same problem, I just took some 3M weatherstripping glue and put a few dabs down, hasn't come off since.

Just went with a Fram, OEM look alike. Seems to be working good enough. in which case I misread your poll ohwell
