Studded tires are quite common here also . I used them in the winter all the time while living in MT. They work wonders in helping to keep traction.

Thanks, yea I had a few leaks up front, the 1-3/4" stock pipes had some slop in them where I clamped onto the y-pipe. I took some atomic putty, and sealed up the tiny holes up front. Now shes leak free. Its always amazing how much a stock muffler quiets all cars

Zibi, Cheap is always good I think the most expensive part alone was the Magnaflow y-pipe. And Tek we are just that lucky...I mean unluckey Though its alright, I like making random angles fit together.

Sorry If I got anyone interested... I went to go look at the rig last night to strip the parts, and they hadn't told me it was rolled..... So roof rack is flat, and only 1 of the flares was good. So I am back to square one. I guess that should be my first question to an ask on Craigslist. Hahaha, Anyways, back to searching

Hello, I have a chance to get some fender flares and roof rack off of a 2001 Pathfinder. I was wondering if these will fit the wheel well of the '99. Even if they dont have the same mounting holes I can fix that. Just wanting to know if they will fit. >I also want to know if the roof rack will bolt up to a '99. Thanks

Does the 1999 have a chipped key? Ive read that after you change your battery the computer may forget the code in the key. Though, having the key on for 10 minutes usually fixes that, have you called the stealership? If its not that, is there a section in your manual with a series of steps? like put key in for a certain time, then turn it on and off a certain amount of times and etc?

Amazingly, the OEM ones are hard to find, and if you do find them, they are real spendy. New they run about $100 for one wheel well. You can also find Bushwacker flares, they are about the same price, but you can choose what kinda of look you want. If you don't want to spend the big bucks, best bet is to keep checking at the JY to see if they get any pathies in. Hope that helps I've been looking for awhile now.

I've also used an additive called Rislone, To cure the tap in my brothers Trooper. From my experience and others' as well. It works like a champ in cleaning deposits, you may give it a try.

If the PIAA's don't work out for you for whatever reason, I have a pair of Sylvania SilverStar Ultras in my '99 and they are very bright. They light up the side of the road and have good distance to them. Here is a pic of them in the housing, if it helps you at all. I know a pic of the beam would be better. Well, a few weeks ago I finally got all the parts I needed to do a catback exhaust of my own. It consisted of a magnaflow y-pipe, a cheap free flowing turbo muffler(kinda like the Thrush) and some random pipe. I cut the stock muffler off and started from there, I Yd the two downpipes together and boosted the diameter up to 2.25". then I attached the new muffler directly to the y. I went to the local Baxters and picked up a few bent pieces of pipe, they are not mandrel bent so I went up a 2.5" pipe as to not have as much restriction. The 2.25" 90 was almost flat . I finally exited the system right behind the rear passenger wheel like factory, only a little larger Here is a picture of the old system laying next to the new. Lots of restriction in the old but it flows much better now. If you can see I chopped off one of the old hangers and mounted it to the new system. Here is a short video of what the new system sounds like. I personally like how it turned out and as a week has gone by its already starting to sound even better with the break in. For fun I decided while removing the old system, to cut it off in different sections to see what kind of sounds I would get. The first is with the resonator. then without, then with out the muffler. I liked the sound of no mufflers but the neighbors not so much Anywho here is my little experiment Enjoy.

Hello, I was wondering what years are compatible in the fender flare section, I need to get some to cover my meats, the flying rocks are getting annoying , When I go to a Junk yard should I primarily look for 96-99 pathfinders? Im also wondering, are roof racks easy to take off? My Xe has a naked roof, and was looking at getting the side runners and cross bars off another pathfinder, Do they just unscrew from the roof? Sorry to bring back a dead thread but I need to make sure on something. If I get 15x7 rims with a BS of 4.0" I can get any offset between 0mm and -19mm. If I get 15x8 rims with a BS of 4" should I stay with 0mm offset? or can I go 0mm to -19mm. These will be wrapped in 31x10.5 tires. Thanks

Thanks, if its just 2-3 mph slower I'm not going to recalibrate it, as I run my stock size, winter tires during the winter.

You could add a oil filter re locater, and put the filter in a more accessible spot maybe?
