  4. the belts need to be pretty tight.
  5. ecu has a tranny diagnostic mode.. look in the stickies in the garage.
  6. there is a thread about torque converter somewhere around here.. somewhat recent, might be worth a look but i don't think there was a conclusion to it.. similar symproms though.
  7. strong gas smell? search using those words.. slick and others have had some issues with that.. not sure if any or what the culprits/solutions might have been.. o2.. well, they run from about $40-$100+; to find the cheap ones you'll have too look hard.. not too bad on the replacement job unless yours is anything like mine then it's a 11/10 on a PITA scale mine was spot welded on and there just isn't enough room to be able to do much.. to get the sawzall up in there i had to remove the x member; guess what, i ended up sawzalling all those bolts too (after spending way too many hours on giving them the treatment.) soooo, it depends.. if everything is peachy, the job shouldn't take much longer then 15 min. 22mm open end wrench is a must.
  8. kind of sounds like an o2.. the whitish smoke is most likely water vapour which is not unusual in a vehicle that has sat some.. the smell.. dunno man.. describe?
  9. welcome! well, since yours has a crack in it, seems that it may be a perfect candidate for an autopsy.. so let us know.
  10. might need to tighten those babies up a bit.
  11. it still seems a little high but iiac, you have 4 O2s and i don't know how involved is the replacement nor the cost of the knock sensor.
  12. try using a stethoscope to hone in on the noise..
  13. no, you gotta get the whole CL.. it's not serviceable.. stock one is $110 at advanced auto parts.. L&P is 250 plus core.
  14. looks fabulous.. do give details on the kit etc.. please.
  15. yeah, i have had a squeeky bj before (not on the pathy).. couldn't ever figure out where the noise was emanating from.. then one day the bj broke and the squeaking stopped. problem found
  16. dude, it's ok. that's what we are here for.. long time ago i didn't know the difference either.. you have to learn sometime.. i bet, in a few years you'll be giving out most of the advice...
  17. it's not servicable. L&P guys modify it. bushings in this case = the BJ looking thingys.
  18. left picture is of the PITMAN ARM!!! otherwise you have them labeled correctly. as you noted in your first post, they are different. two different parts, performing two different functions. related but different. the CL is one piece/part attached at four different places..
  19. synamic links have also two addresses in them (rerouting you to the host - thus dynamic) but may end with .jpg.. etc. http:www business./some slashes, some php? and such and then (redir =, to, / or )http://www,,,and so on
