no replacement for displacement... the V8 is WAY better than the V6.. they had 4.3 vortecs and V8 vortecs.. dunno what size.. not a 5.7 tho i believe the swap is legal if you get it recertified through CARB (Smog cops) and it meets emissions standards from the vehicle from which the donor engine came from, but i believe it mandates a newer engine than the vehicle it is installed in

yea.. those 1 in bj spacers, theyre made of good steel. when you first install them they will make you toe WAY in .. like dangerously unsafe toe in ... like jump all over the road dangerous.. yea.. set your toe out a bit... yea very alignable tho no prob. for a good tech.

yea a frenn of mine had a lifted 83 toypu with like 35s... he had a buick 231 V6 motor and 350 trans with a toy case... he got drunk and wrecked it... HAHAHA Neutral drops! YAY!

yea, really dissapointing.. the VG30 is a pitiful engine indeed.. weak and darn thirsty.. i got like 205 miles on a tank! well.. maybe a 350 would work well but, new trans, t case, diffs... :oops:

might try and do a trans service.. a day or two but before you do, tape a big speaker magnet to the bottom of the case near the drainplug so you get all the glitter and sparkle when you drain it.. might even get lucky and get a nugget

haha.. thats why i put the bent up side on the diff... they kinda collapsed a bit anyways.. thats why i needed spacers BTW you gotta bend em in 4 or 5 places to get it so it looks-fits right

Hey guys.. ive gotta project in my mind to make spring lift blocks. would any be interested in say... A pair of billet aluminum blocks that fit over your spring perches on your rear end that you can stack your springs on Im thinking like in 2 and 3 inch lengths... However it will require that you drill through your perches so you can install a bolt to keep them securely mounted on your diff and not fly off when you catch air! JGC springs arent enough... ive got a pre runner pathy!!

yer gonna need a about a custom 4 in body lift for 35s even with a 4 in suspy lift... or.... GO SAS!!! 33s fit kinda tight (no rub tho) with 3+3 lift

i fit 33s with only the jgc springs (i bent the pigtails though) ... DONT TRIM! here are my JGC springs after torch molestation and my pathy spring

it wouldnt ping when cold or under no load eg. neutral, park etc.. overheatng causes pinging too...

Breaking the bead isnt a problem.... nothing starting fluid and a match cant fix! ...15x7s are fine for 10.50 tires anyways With the stock pathy lego wheels i fit 33x10.50s and all i had to do was adjust the steering bumpstops a little (rubbing on idler arms and radius arms) and... ta da... no rubbing! NO CUTTING OF FENDERS!!!

if youre worried about boiling points in your Formula 1 racing Pathfinder you can use DOT 5 silicone fluid.. just make sure you COMPLETELY flush it out. dot's 3&4 dont get along with dot 5 It even has a nifty purple color. GE Makes some good fluid. ford just sucks.. but chrysler is worse.. F'd over road disaster F'n owners really dumb

:confused: ???? prolly a lifter... if so, not terminal... turn the radio up lifter noise goes away when oil psi goes up sometimes. oil psi comes way up around that speed ... change yer oil often? maybe its your :X exhaust manifolds leaking :X mine are :oops:

rev the engine while listening.. if nothing that MIGHT rule out yer motor

figure where its coming from... could be a rod starting.. a lifter... ???use a LONG screwdriver and place one end on different places on the engine and the other on your ear and you can hear the engine noise.. like a doctor with a stethoscope

put yer front tires int the back... one of my wheels was a lil bent.. (needed like 7 ozs to balance) threw two 2 oz weights on and put it in the back... SMOOTH

i just installed a cb in my beast and i mounted it where...?? behind the console.. and for the antenna.. i mounted it on my roof rack.. looks like a giant R/C car
