  1. haha my pathy looks like a prerunner too my jgc spriongs are sagging a bit haha
  2. you wanna get really low budget and badass??? get an air ride compressor from an 80s cadillac and put a clip on air chuck or a quick coupler for tanks.. i have made several of them
  3. 20 50 is warm weather oil.... takes too long to build pressure when its cold what temp is it in the am? set a quart outovernite and open it in the am and and see how thick it is compared to lightrer weight oil... i run 20-50 in everything i have here in LA... even in my CBR600. works good here u might need a lighter weight there
  4. set your bars where you want them and let the tech handle it from there.. i took it to my buddys shop myself, but generally the self employed, shop owner mechanics do a pretty good job.. theyre responsible for their own bottom line, therefore they learn more
  5. you can leave that t case thing alone until you want to go into 4 lo, but yea, improvisation and common mechanical sense will get you through this
  6. WTF... that fast in an 80s mopar?? wow... my pathy dosent like to go fast with 33s... but ive been to 155 on my 2000 CBR600... insanely fast!
  7. trans it toast from the way i look at it.. is it shifting all gears?? RIP slushbox...does it slip leaving from stop lights??
  8. yea i think yer slushbox (tranny) is toast.. or sounds that way anyways
  9. HAHAH i have a 5 sp too but my tachy is dead
  10. uhh, do you have overdrive engaged??? that might work.. pathys arent race cars, just 4x4 monsters HAHAHA
  11. its really a diy lift... i used an ac 3"body 1" ball joint spacers and jgc springs, tbars arent really a nescessity if you re-index and crank them. read all the info and tidbits on this board and you will get a good idea how to do it! for the t bars, loosen em up, then take the front t bar mount off of the control arm and slide that beast out..
  12. ohh.... how cuuute!!! bonding through bandwidth!
  13. anyone know if the VG30 an interference motor..( bends valves when the t belt goes south)... ??????
  14. see it never rains or snows here in LA so i didnt have to worry about rust or corroded hardware.. i feel sorry for the dudes that do
  15. go to your local hardware store... a mapp gas setup is like 25- 35 bucks at MOST... now, i dont want to hear from you again until that body lift is installed!
  16. well, do the lift first. you will see what needs to be done. then take yer shift boot off and look at it and see where you need to bend it... take care to put a heat shield so you dont scorch and burn your carpet and pathy to the ground, ive seen that done before in a muffler shop.. in all it takes like 20 min to do. BTW those dudes from AC dont know their A$$ from a hole in the ground
  17. i didnt have to do any hacking on on my 95 manual type... if you have an oxy acetylene rig great, or go spend 25 bucks on a mapp gas torch and bend it... take your shift boot off.. make a heat shield and place it on the left side of the shifter ( so you dont burn your carpet from the floorpan, it catches stuff on fire!) and have a frend place a cheaterbar on the lever, place it in 4wd or N and push forward while you heat it.. make sure you bend it low enough on the shaft though. you cant use the factory knob tho... makes the boot look squished... thats how i did it. full lever operation. thats it
  18. adapt a compression tester into the fuel rail and check fuel pressure... pumps are $$$ figure out the problem, just dont throw parts it it
  19. those stocker lights really suck !.. im gonna find a way to install some 55w bulbs in there.. HAHA.. yah think the wiring will handle it?..
  20. man that sucks... hes not gonna be happy to see you.. comebacks suck
  21. if you want to take it off.. use a pipe wrench and a cheater bar or sawzall the end off and use a regular socket... rather simple
  22. if its using gaskets use 2 on the same side.. use good ones.. or just get a good soft copper one
  23. hydraulic lifters are not adjstable, only replaceable, when they get plugged with junk they dont pump up correctly. if you donr need a timing belt dont waste your time and money unless its due for one or youre really bored... spend your money on a lift or searching for the prob
