  2. 88... i will find a way for our vg30i engines to get snorkeled, that or some other device to keep water outta my momo... can you say cowl induction? that under the hood induction is no fun if you do water crossings.. on another note.. saran wrap! .. listen, saran wrap is en excellent water barrier for your distributor! helped on my bronco BIG TIME... before you go wheelin, take some saran wrap and put a condom over that baby. when you get home take that jimmy off and toss it to the curb
  3. as for wheel rub? 4 words.. adjustable steering bump stops.. simple solution if you can deal with a bit increased turning radius i had to adjust em on my 95 when i had 33 10.50s on lego wheels on a 3" bl and 3" suspy lifts

  5. well yea here in ca you never have to use 4x on road so it should be wicked and relatively cheap.. goodie for manual hubs! remember i have a plenty of parts.. the carrier chould interchange complete.. a problem i had with my 95 was when im climbing like a steep sandy hill.. the fronts would break traction and the rears would dig in..
  6. i know well what a detroit is capable of doing... whats the difference between a lock right and the good ole detroit? cause right now... the extra dough for the detroit dosent sound too appealing you guys think our ifs, axles and drivetrain will take the abuse of a lincoln locker in the front? obvoiusly no street 4x4ing hahahaha

  11. if you dont change your oil regularly, oil likes to cake and bake up in the lifter valleys and heads. as for me, ive run atf in the old mans 92 crown vickie for a day or 2 before changing the oil after 10000 or so miles.. to have seen the chunks that came out of the oil pan. finally sold that car with bad rings and some piston slap after 300k miles on the orig engine. fords only good product.
  12. im not movin to a 95 block for power... its just i happen to have a spare Pathfinder sittin around, and the trans is goin south so ill do a ring and bearing job on my 95 engine, some cams and lifters, headers, a new t belt and toss the tranny in while im at it.. i know on some of the ford systems if you change the cams out to some beasty bumpstick they dont like to run right

  14. if the noise quiets when you accelerate wide open or while coasting.. sounds like it might be the woodpeckers movin in. (rod knock - spun bearing) hard to say
  15. ok... 95 long block fits in an 87?? Have a yes, Have a no?? ok, another one.. anyone know what the 87 ecm is gonna do if i were to say... toss a new set of cams in the engine?
  16. ugh... slushboxes.. its really what you prefer and what youre gonna use it for. you could prolly squeeze a lil more of the 150 hp you have out of a manual, although a bit of a handful sometimes offroad
  17. oh, to 88 why waste youre time puttin a turbo engine in a pathy... when you can turbo a 1st gen rx7!
  18. meh.. its just basically transplanting the 300zx setup.. it can be done. should be no big deal really.. to make it work youd have to make it as close to the 300z setup as possible, be it you'd have to make quite a few custom parts, exhaust etc. just like how those rice boys put those b16s in the crx's bring all the wires with you and make sure its plugged in... high f'n tech

  20. make it easy and cheaper on yourself. toss the 3.0 and trans. put in a 350 chev with a 6-71 blower on top followed by a 400 trans and a np205 case... HAHA dana 60s here we come! good ole GM to the rescue!
  21. Im gonna have this truck forever! SWEET ride. The lack of sway bars make it super wicked! matt is a complete craftsman. Nice custom work. Built just bitchin. I can say im gonna have a hard time findin anymore major improvements to do.. ha im sure i won't tho... maybe a T case kit? we'll see. no drinkin and wheelin anymore tho. I learned that the hard way. Stay tuned for a Warn winch and a pair of lockers. coming soon to a desert near you.
  22. yea, a friend of mine has a military humvee. it has gear reduction knuckles that offset the cv axles about 5 in higher... all aluminum, snorkel, all the goodies for fording rivers up to 4 1/2 ft deep.. badass
