  1. nah, like was posted in your other thread only a couple guys have ever done an SAS on an R50 (that we know of on these forums anyway). Check out the SAS section, tmorgans thread has the most descriptive stuff. Might be worthwhile shooting him or trailboss a PM with any questions, they both seem to be very friendly and helpful guys.
  2. Aye, I don't think theres a whole lot that will make too much of a difference, it's already a pretty light vehicle for its size being a unibody. Guess it's just a matter of things you don't need. I've been running without the back seats for the last 6 months but that was more to make more cargo space for all the @!*% I've moved for my brother.

Try just doing a search of the R50 Section. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?act=Se...lite=%2Bheaders As far as I know there are currently no companies producing headers for the 3.3 R50, though it shouldn't be too hard to find some second hand on ebay or the like. As far as I recall Stillen did a limited run a few years ago, someone correct me if I'm wrong on that one. Cat back exhaust is just a matter of going to an exhaust shop and getting quotes, I don't know of any but I'm sure there are bolt on catback replacements for the R50.
  4. There is no suspension lift bigger than 3" that will work with the IFS. Since it is a unibody there are no body lifts. The only other two options are a sub frame drop or a solid axle swap, both of which are custom fabrication.
  5. Like BowTied said, you should always go by the sticker if you're running stock sized tires, or at least thats what I was always taught 2psi is a nominal difference. If it bothers you then take some air out.

  7. Check out tmorgan's thread, it'll have the most detailed information on his sas, but he did full hydro so there isn't anything about doing a steering box if thats your plan. Only a couple people have done them so you won't find that much information.
  8. A year and a half ago I got back from Europe and only had a couple weeks to find a vehicle ready for a lot of KM and winter conditions. Pathfinders were on my short list and I found this site through google while doing my research on them. It definitely helped me to not only decide on a Pathy but to know what to look for when buying.
  9. pfft travelling by yourself is tons of fun, you have the freedom to do what you want on a whim. I'd have never gone to Sweden, or a couple small towns in the Czech Republic if I'd been travelling with someone else, and those were once in a lifetime opportunities for me. As long as you have a destination, no matter how unimportant it is, the trip can be fun But I hear you on the repairs. That long trip I posted above involved uninentionally leaving part of my exhaust in a pothole in Canmore (Town in the Canadian Rocky Mountains), and I did all 1500km knowing that my CV boot had already been ripped for a good 3 months and hoping that the joint didn't decide to implode at any point in that trip.

  11. 1,478 KM over two days. First day was 527km from Creston BC to Calgary AB, second day was 951km from Calgary AB to Vancouver BC.
  12. I got a decal from him after he disappeared the first time and came back. Didn't have any problems and got it in a timely manner.
  13. Same problem applies to crawling...articulation is good. Look at a buggy, they ride low and most of their suspension travel comes in the form of down travel so they can keep all four tires in contact with something and providing traction. But its a bit of a redundant argument...it's only a couple inches either way. When you compare it to the 12"+ you get with the big boys it seems silly
  14. wow, at that point I'd be more worried about ripping off the tow points I wouldn't even consider doing that here because you can't go more than a few blocks without finding a hill.
  15. I'm really curious to see what you do with this. I still want to lift my pathy a couple inches but eventually wanted to fit 33"s through fender trimming. While I didn't actually measure (since I'm not actually doing anything at this point) the rear wheelwells have a lot more clearnance behind the tire without the bumper/mudflaps than in front of it. There seems to be a lot of room to trim the rear fenders with the exception of the front, you might be able to gain an inch of clearance there. Anyway 33s obviously work because that guy who makes the SFDs runs them. I think your limiting factor would end up being the strength of the axles and having enough power to turn the wheels if you have no objections to cutting. Theoretically with the some sort of small susp lift and a lot of cutting you could fit some pretty big tires.

  17. Well they either compress or they don't. Fleurys posted about that above. There wouldn't be rust at the bottom of the shaft because that part would compress in day to day use. Higher up on the shaft likely wouldn't ever actually enter the shock except under full articulation so yeah rust could build up. Point is if the shocks work then they work. You don't sell your car because the rock chip on your hood starts to rust.

  19. You don't need the rubber boots, they're just to keep dirt off. Most shocks don't even come with them. If it worries you then just leave holes in the bottom as you've done. I'd give you a weird look for returning an undamaged shock because there was water in the boot.
  20. Theres a guy with a WD21 running the titan wheels, can't remember who it is off the top of my head though. Like alex said, he had to bore out the centre holes.
  21. How much lift do the 923's actually provide? 1.75" and .5" are a big difference.
  22. Mine too, the parking garage at my school likes to hand out chump change so my ashtray is full of mostly nickels and dimes. Jokes on them though on the rare day I forget to bring bigger coins or bills and they get paid $3.50 for parking out of shrapnel.

  24. If the waters deep enough to flood your airbox then it's important, otherwise it's just plastic on the side of your fender.
