damn, that sucks. i'd be so pissed at the lady. but yeah, a body swap isn't all that hard. just time consuming. or it would be really easy to just cut off the roof and put a roll cage around it. let us know what you wanna do with it!

Just curious...how do you guys refer to this site?
StatutoryApe replied to jpawela's topic in General Forums
i referred myself to the site. lol. after seeing my friend browse TTORA, i searched for a similar Pathfinder forum board. and i call it "N-Pora" the only people i talk about the site to are my friends, really, who already know what it is because our other friend won't stfu about stuff on TTORA. lol. or if people don't already know what TTORA or NPORA are i also call it the "Pathfinder forum" -
so i want a roof rack, what you got?
StatutoryApe replied to Channel595's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
i forgot the name of the fastener that i used, but it was like a mix between a nutsert and a jacknut. here's basically the setup i had. but the fastener itself was about twice as long. the first half acted like a jacknut (pictured below) but it was more stout because there was less space between the parts that separated outward. basically, there were just thin slits in between the divisions, instead of huge chunks missing like there are in the picture below. the second half of the fastener acted pretty much like the nutsert in picture one. i think it's probably sturdier than the factor fasteners, which were nutserts. but the rack itself is a little on the weak side. oh, and i have these roof supports that went the same way that the rack rails go--the length of the roof. they're flush to the roof, not raised up. they're like the ones in this thumbnail. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...l%3Den%26sa%3DG oh and i drilled 5/16" holes for the nutsert/jacknut fasteners and used regular sheet metal screws for the roof supports in the middle. tomorrow i might have to just take a few pictures that explain it all. lol. -

hey, GG, do you trust that basket being on your stock rack? i just picked up the same roof rack at a pick n pull and installed it today with my dad's help. idk how much i trust its strength. seems kinda flimsy aluminum to me. i don't plan on using mine that much anyway. lol. -
idk if yours is an automatic like mine, but the autos need dexron-type fluids.

i get the same mileage. around 13 on average. i've done all the tune up stuff and cleaned the MAF and yielded no increase in MPGs. i don't have much time to work on anything else tho. lol.

i'm sorry that i'm not about to contribute anything of importance to this thread, and that i haven't been keeping up with it, even though it looks interesting. but i find it funny that the next video on that little "related videos" list on the right of youtube is titled something to the effect of "running your car on water doesn't work. it's a scam." but good luck with your experiment! we need more people like you to pioneer these new and important experiments.
