  1. ya, after you brought up this thread, i went and looked for skids for WD21s and couldn't really find any. wthx2
  2. greetings from Sac-town. welcome to the board! we've got qutie a few people in NorCal to wheel with
  3. The parts for the older FJs are expensive. I just wheeled this weekend with a guy who had an FJ40. not too many Toyota parts on it. it also has a Chevy 350. anyway, he told me the windshield wiper motor was $400 for it. he said he didn't know why, but he felt the need to keep that part stock. lol. everything else is different tho. except for the axles, probably.
  4. i'll try to keep this as blunt, or concise, as i prefer to call it in this case, as i can since there's already a lot of good opinions here so far. i'll go ahead and agree with most everything that everyone has said except for Daftpup friend's hog-tie idea and Crazyhayseed's comment on dependency, only because i'm not 100% sure i agree with those comments. i won't really waste time echoing what everyone else has said, because the good points have already been repeated. meth and alcohol are the hardest drugs to quit using because a person becomes more chemically dependent on those drugs than any other kind of drug. it's not just the addiction (addiction is your mind obsessing about something--in this case, a drug) but the dependency (dependency means that your body is physiologically DEPENDENT on a certain chemical or drug. meaning that you won't function well or at all without it and you will display physical symptoms of withdrawl) that makes meth such a bad drug. that being said, the best way to stop one's dependence on the drug is to go to rehab. it's one of those drugs that really has to be cleansed from your body. i'm sure that the folks at rehab know what's best, or at least know better than anyone in a support group. not that a support group wouldn't help. my friend's success story: this girl i went to school with had a problem with drugs and alcohol (at least that's what i'm assuming because she told me she hit "rock bottom") she wasn't particularly the best kid around school. she didn't go to the same high school as i. she went to a school called Independence. for the sake of simplicity, i'll describe it as "the high school from screw-ups." (remember, concise-- not blunt) so, assuming that she was really deep into drugs and/or alcohol (or any problem for that matter), she managed to pull herself out. how? she told me that after hitting rock bottom, she saw Jesus who "lifted her up" she joined her local church where her life is now turned around and is now a devout Christian. she's clean and living a good life. she just got married, too. so i guess that religion is a good "cure." whichever way you go, i wish you and your friends' siblings good luck. keep us updated.
  5. i get the same mileage. around 13 on average. i've done all the tune up stuff and cleaned the MAF and yielded no increase in MPGs. i don't have much time to work on anything else tho. lol.
  6. what movie is that from? i've been trying to figure that out for a while. well, an assload of ppl do shop there, so your chances of seeing/coming in contact with those kinda ppl goes up.
  7. only one i could think of that pertains to today: just cause my pathfinder's badass, it doesn't mean that you have to show me how "badass" your Ram is by trying to race me.
  8. i didn't even notice that when i pulled mine out. i wouldn't have even tried doing that if i knew that i could, though.
  9. these are just power mirrors? i have those
  10. just follow this advice/self-diagnosis
  11. lol, well it can keep that unwaxed look to it. i just washed it with dish soap
  12. Thanks, guys! I just have a regular 3+3. AC UCA's, which i don't like. they don't really make alignment easy and the squeak i think when Firestone went to align it, they jacked it up a lil too much, which is coo with me. no cv binding problems so far. i think the front is actually higher than the rear, but that's just me judging it just by looking at it. i have JGC coils in the rear. i've seen, what i think to be, higher lifts out of other pathies that also use JGC coils. the top of my tires (33s) are about level with the top of the frame. plus, i don't have the fender flares on the new body yet and most of my comparison pix are w/ the 31s on the PF. And yeah, it kinda looks like i've got the porn star stance going on in the front. i'm gonna take it in to get it aligned on monday. hopefully they do it right this time!!!
  13. ahem... http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/P9270134.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/P9270135.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/P9270136.jpg i'm ready to roll! i can't wait to drive her to school and work now!!! the passenger side fender was my original one. my dad just beat it out w/ a rubber mallet and pressed it out a lil bit. idc too much about it. also, that missing turn signal is now on the bumper. it just doesn't work and i got a new windshield today. 138 bux installed in like half an hour! also, i put new Infinity speakers in the rear 100W rms. so i guess you could say she's better than before! a special thanks goes out to MWS for the FREE Pathy, Unccpathfinder for the advice on the wiring, and everyone at NPORA!
  14. wait, i forgot that my windshield is busted and i won't get that fixed before saturday. i haven't even driven my PF yet. so i can't go wheeling. sorry, bro.
  15. gah, i just caught up on this thread. sorry to respond so late. hopefully you're still up for going there. i'm down to go, though. i have this saturday off, tho, if that's good for you. i've never been, but i'm pretty sure that it's pretty close to where i live. ya, school started about a month ago for me so i'm kinda busy too. but if given enough notice, i'd be down to go whenever.
  16. i'm savin up for the nissan west coast meet on october 26th. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19029 hollister is a little far for me (sac-town area) but i'd be down to go if i had some extra money. but i think for now i'll just keep savin up for the west coast meet. i'll let you know if i wanna go though.
  17. yeah, once i put the doors back on. idk when that'll be cuz i still have no time to work on it (gotta leave for work in 5 minutes) so it all depends on when my dad finishes swapping the electronics in the other door. then i'll drive her and take some pix.
  18. well, idk what my dad did, exactly, but he got it runnin yesterday. I wasn't home all day yesterday, but he worked on it almost all day. Today while i was at church then work, he got all the interior installed, except for the interior panels that cover the rear speakers. i gotta put new speakers in first All that's left to do now is swap out the power locks in windows in one of the doors (my dad did the other one today) and install the doors and it'll be done! but then i'll need a new windshield, but i can put that off for a while.
  19. ha, i could say the same thing when i change my oil :tonguefinger: and i'm being patient. i have like no time to work on it since school started a few weeks ago.
  20. so i tried to get it to start today, and it wouldn't. nothing on the top half of my fuse box will work. that includes the fuel pump and starter i think. idk how that happened, but i'll have to look at the wires again.
  21. Holy Mackerel - Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel
  22. it was already like that it's too bad i gotta get that replaced cuz i reallllly wanna drive it.
