Red '88 SE 2-door. 3.0L V6 automatic. 31x10.5 michelin lt's. stock "lego" rims. ~137K miles on it. 3" AC BL. K&N drop-in air filter. 2.25" cat back. Flowmaster 40 series. and a whole bunch of stereo upgrades that i'm too lazy to list right now. i'm looking to get a suspension lift in the near future. i have gone through the tedious process of replacing the starter and as a result i have lost my front skid plate (my dad lost it, actually) the water pump quit on me at about 131K miles. the brakes have been redone. i have upgraded the stereo too. oh, and i get anywhere between 12 and 15 mpg :( oh, and instead of "rarely go off-road" it should say "i go when i can" however that option is not working atm.

  1. yup, that was me who rolled the truck and replaced the body. i used to have a thread on here w/ all the pix but it's deleted now. here's a pic of what i did. did it all in my back yard. http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b95/ch620/?action=view&current=P8160136.jpg like people said, just build a-frames over the truck and jack the body up (i used come alongs) lemme know if you have any other questions or need to see more pix. and good luck with the project!
  2. do you want to get yourself into trouble or out of trouble? my vote is for a winch. idk if you've been stuck in the mud or snow before, but you can get stuck in that stuff ALL DAY-- or longer. even if you have someone to pull you out (and they don't have a winch) there's still a possibility of that person getting stuck while trying to pull you out. this is where you really get screwed. sure, a locker can help get you out of snow or mud, but it can also get you deeper in (as others have stated). you'll also be able to hit harder trails (obviously). personally, i don't like pushing limits too far, or any intense "pucker factor." that's just me, and i'm scared of rolling over (which i have before lol)
  3. nissan nut has good info on the swap http://nissannut.com/projects/h233_4.9_swap/

  5. i jumped on the PA wedge that i used. but that was on a different vehicle. maybe you can loosen it a lil by jamming the PA somehow, then moving the steering wheel back and forth. these things tend to slide out better if they're in the right position.
  6. i know what you mean, man! i bought an axle a while ago, but the rest of the process is gonna take me foreveerrrrrr! i'm savin up a lil bit here and there. i'm also tryin to do it on the cheap hahahaha.
  7. they made it like that so you know which pedal you're pushing
  8. Thanks for the compliment! I try to post good pics hahaha.

  9. Congrats on winning TOTM!!! Nice pics!!

  10. hah i decided to SAS cuz i bent a tie rod a week ago. then i went to the local pick n pull on monday to get a replacement when i saw the a wagoneer with the D44 i needed. it was like fate or something. hahaha. i'm not looking back now. i'm goin with it.
  11. air shocks maybe? hah, i'm actually moving to the town here Poly Performance is located in a few weeks!!! they can't really help me w/ my swap tho just parts.
  12. nah, it's not that easy. you'll need this bracket kit https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=2867 you can either buy that or steal it off a pathy at a junk yard. however it's very hard to remove those brackets. it'll take a lot of work and cutting. no, you can't go without it. if you just drill holes and stick bolts through the body, the weight of the carrier and the tire will rip off the sheet metal on the hinges. idk how much work it'll be since the bracket kit doesn't come with any instructions (i just bought it and have to install the spare tire carrier myself) but i'll let you guys know when i figure this out and get it done.
  13. control arms. i actually recommend SuperLift upper control arms. they might be harder to find though. and i have Pro Comp ES9000 shocks on all 4 corners. lemme know of any other questions you might have. what year is your pathy, by the way?

  14. whaddup, man? thanks for the comment. yeah, rolling sucked, but it's back on the road now so it's all good. i got the pieces for the suspension lift separately. rear coils are the front coils from a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ). they give u 3" lift in the rear. then i have Sway Away Torsion bars (from ruggedrocksoffroad.com) up front with Automotive Customizers (4x4parts.com) upper
