  1. Thats what I did in the rear (that almost sounds "dirty"). Did you ever get the lift finished?
  2. For daily use I don't have a spare on my R50 anywhere but when I go on trips or offroading I just through it ontop of the riif rack. People talk about messing up the center of gravity but in all reality we can't really lift our rides high enough to worry too much about that. People also talk about having a tire up there kills your gas mileage, but I get 16 mpg whether I'm pulling a boat or I am loaded down with a bunch of crap or if I have nothing in my vehicle but me.
  3. You can fit 32's with no modification or lift in the rear. With enough cutting I'm sure you could fit 34's. Don't be scared, go ahead & do it...
  4. X3 My roof rack is deep enough that my 32" tire wont "roll out" or anything but you ya still gotta secure that sucker. My rachet straps are bright orange (just a little FYI)
  5. I see that I am only one of eight that are boring & only have ashes in their ash tray...
  6. I don't drink, smoke or do any drugs, no gambling & have no kids... stupid college & tuition I pay for myself... it better payoff, doing this crappy job & no making any money & what not...
  7. What the hell do you guys do for a living that you can drop a couple grand like it aint no thing? Just curious, I want to get on board...
  8. I'm running 4.6's the tires turn fine, I don't live in a higher elevation & I'm in the South but not the Deep South, so its not too hot. I have an auto tranny, the injectors are clean & MAF sensor is good. Maybe its the knock sensor but you know I had this issue with the original engine as well... oh well.
  9. I used to use 89 (for like 8 years) but since the price isn't that differnt right now I use 91. I notice that when I use 89 I have an odd knocking noise but when I use the 91 its not there. Any ideas guys on what this is (this was true of my old engine as well)?
  10. Like Pezzy said with enough welding & skill anything could be done. I say just go with the KMA bumper or put an ARB on it (yes it can be done theres just a little gap that can be covered up)
  11. This is/was an older thread, so unless you did a search for it you wouldn't just "stumble across it"
  12. dude, do you have beadlocks (if so thats effing awesome)?
  13. I've been talking/trying to do this for a couple of months now (I just need to take a weekend & do it already) & its fairly straight forward. Ask Dan he did it with a Navara snorkel (which is what AC sells as Frontier snorkels).
  14. Painted rocker panels the only way to go. Yeah for Herculiner!
  15. I think I could have one built & installed for less than that (plus the shipping). But this is something I've been wanting to do for a while.
  16. I think Adam (Fueler) uses BFG AT's if I'm not mistaken.
  17. Don't worry, both of these are fairly easy fixes you can do at your own house/garage. I've done a CV on the trail & seen hubs done on trials as well (or at least quick fixes to the hubs).
  18. I'm not in NOAS but I run around with a bunch of those guys (hell Richard & Rob live/play down the street from me). I know that theres a couple of people talking about going to URE the 2nd weekend in April... a bit soon for me. I don't want to have to deal with all of the Jeeps, Toyotas, Zuks, etc, etc. I'll wait a month or so before I try to go nuts. BTW I'm here in NC as well.
  19. I've run the hell outta my BFG MT's in some nasty, nasty stuff & been fine. The KM2's are a whole lot of badassness though...
  20. I had a Pro Comp MT blow-out on me going 65 mph on the interstate with only about 20K on them. The tread ripped off by itself & then the tire blew. It tore-up my front bumper & ripped off my sideview mirror (I also drove on the completely flat tire for like 3 or 4 miles until I could get to a decent neighborhood to change it-toughest rims I've ever seen)Company said that "they were have some trouble with the MT's & Xtreme Allterrains," yeah I'd say so. Heres the link to the write-up on it
  21. You mean the strut otwer mount? If so then I don't know if AC's is OEM, sorry
  22. Gonna look badassness. No flashing crap, I like 'em.
  23. The same principle works though.
  24. I'm so out of touch that I didn't know what facebook was until like a month ago & nope I don't one of those.
  25. I've always known I wasn't cool anyhow... this is how I keep up with a number of friends since I don't live where I grew up, like most of America. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=31107567
