  1. Thats why the next mod is a snorkel & probably relocating the alt & starter up & out of harms way.
  2. You'll be fine. The 99.5-2004 R50's have to do some modification if I'm not mistaken though. Also, unless you go to a 15x8 rim I wouldn't push 32's, b/c they are all* (*at least to my knowledge) an 11.5" wide tire which would be too much for a 15x7 rim especially if you offroad & air down a bit. As stated on AC I run 15x8 black steelies (I couldn't tell you what brand as I traded my stock rims for them) with 3.75" of BS & 32x11.5x15 BFG MT's that have never let me down. Oh & the bolt pattern is 6x5.5 incase you didn't already know. You can get plain black offroad rims farirly cheap, like $55 or so a rim, if I'm not mistaken. Theres a guy on pirate4x4 (HERES THE LINK TO THE THREAD) that runs killer deals on Interco's & rims for cheap (much cheaper, mounted & shipped than like Discount Tire or any other hack joint can offer), so PM him & check it out.
  3. That sux guys. We tend to have stupid f*ckin laws here in the states to. Luckily we, as human beings, were given the ability at birth to make decissions. Like the decission to not follow a bullsh!t law & to do whats best for you. My vehicle has not passed an inspection here in NC for 4 years but I'm still truckin. Oh & to any LEO's reading if you see me coming you can go a head & pull me over for that bogus seatbelt law thats in place to idiot proof the country & to take away my personal rights & freedoms, cause trust you me I aint wearin' one! To my Aussies, after my little rant, I hope all goes well for you guys Downunder but remember, just because its a law doesn't make it just or right, sometimes you gotta do watch a gotta do.
  4. Most of those were built by a Japaneses offroad company called Mudd Jayson
  5. Certain 33's could be done with a bit a of trimming. I have no plastic inner lining (which is partly how I destroyed the original engine) & my front plastic bumper has been cut-the-hell-up for a couple of years now. I know it would fit most 33's, but I still run a 32x11.5 tire on a rim with 3.75" of BS b/c I like having the room for what little flex our R50's can do Pic of the front bumper
  6. Hey those were pics outta my photobucket. I don't care. Heres a couple more just for funnzies:
  7. Yup, I just nut in my pants & that thing doesn't even have the engine in or running, tranny, axles attatched or rims/tires. I'm gonna have one of those tantric Sting sex orgasms when that b!tch is finished. Thanks Tyler
  8. The only real reason I would go with this is because I would have a new/newer engine & a new/newer tranny. That way you don't replace your engine & the turn around in 6 months or a year or even 2 & have to deal with rebuilding or replacing the tranny. I would just do it all at once & have a whole new setup that I know would last. I just would want to leave anything to chance (the chance that there is still some petrol in there that could f*ck up or give your new engine trouble). Instead of taking everything off & trying to clean it all out & hoping you got ti all out, just replace that sh!t. You already have it off. Going back what I said above I would just preffer to not have to deal with any more emmissions BS. Plus I like my engines to be as simple as possible so if something does go wrong its only a couple of things. For me the loss of the 30hp is not the end of the world for me. I want to the low end torque those engines provide to make crawling up trails easy. I'm not so concerned about going fast on the interstate (my VG33E is slow as hell anyhow). If I want to make up for the loss I'll just aquire a bigger turbo & make it work. We did a bypass on my VG the I swapped in back in Dec. for like 2 weeks so I could get around town & everything still work (I didn't turn on the AC so I don't know about that though). It's supposed to but until I see one in person I'm not gonna tell you yes for sure, but like I said, it is supposed to be (especially since a Terrano is a really just a diesel Pathfinder) I think I got all of your questions...
  9. Actually some of know quite a bit about it. It's a direct swap, but you have to change out all the fuel lines & gas tank & all that. No need for an ECU though (which is badass) cause it has manual fuel pump. The switch should still work but I would recommend that if you are spending that much money you might as well get the tranny along with it & rebuild it, that way you have a fresh new start. This is something that'll be done as soon as I graduate (so that I have some time). I can do the petrol swap in a week but the diesel would need a bit more time, cause I want to switch out the tranny, all the other crap & I want to add an extra spare tank as well.
  10. Nope & Nope. The one Ty has came off Dan's R50 which came off of someone elses, ect, etc. You have a 2000 right? ARB makes one for you. Actually I could get it to fit mine but it would have a small 1" gap, plus its expensive as f*ck & I'm going with tube all the way around. If you want kind of a TJM look bumper thne get a KMA wincher (google it)
  11. I'd call you a couple of other things but seeing that I don't care to get banned from here as well I'll stick wit Buttercup. Is that ok?... Sugar-tits
  12. All I'm gonna say is that it is about time... buttercup
  13. Looks good, have fun & beat the hell outta it.
  14. Say what? In any event seeing the pic of Bob Saget was worth swinging over. fskcin awesome!

  15. The poly bushings will outlast my vehicle.
  16. Thanks Adam for that enlightening little history lesson (I already knew that though, thats why I used it) FUBAR - F*ck Up Beyond All Recognition - is also another favorite of mine. I also used to work at a bar called FUBAR.
  17. Its just the lower that cause the death wobble. That was all I replaced & it completely fixed that SNAFU
  18. I have the rear lower & its well worth it if you can pop out the old bushings & pop in the new ones yourself (or if you can find like a mom & pop shop to do it for cheap), otherwise just buy new lower control arms, cause shops will charge an arm & a leg to do it.
  19. Give us some specs man (ei tires-size/brand, lift-type/height, ect, ect) Badassness btw. The square tubing makes it look like some Mad Max type sh!t.
  20. Its the Ranchos struts, not the lift & let me just say Rancho as a company is f*cking sorry! I had a Rancho RS9000XL blowout after only about 4 months, so I contacted their customer service & they sucked big-o fat floppy donkey... hoof. Finally they said for me to send it back (on my dime btw) & after waiting 3 months they sent me back 2 Rancho RS5000's. Sorry dude, sorry.
