  1. EGR controls NOx. If you ahev replaced the O@ sensor recently, Try checking your timing if it is running rich.
  2. If yours is a California model it will have an EGR sensor. It looks similar to an O2 sensor but has two male plugs coming out of it, one larget than the other; the smaller being a round plug the larger being an oval one. If it is not california, it is a random error code caused by the ECU recieving an input outside its perameters taht it doesnt know what to do with, so it flashes code 35 or 45 when it should go to 55. Had this pop up twice on my old federal vehicle both times right after filling up at a gs station.
  3. Having done the rear before without pulling it, I would say next time I would pull the entire motor. Much easier long term and like mentioned you can look it all over and work on other things easier at the same time.
  4. I concour, stick with teh stock ones. Yes, all at one is the way to go, dont forget air filer and PCV valve.
  5. Cant get that VIN to pull up. Called a buddy up in Canada to see if they could, same thing. Should read JN8HD17Y8SW-054835 Did you copy it down correctly? I suspect the last 6 numbers are jumbled around. I can say it was manufactured 01/95.
  6. Shoot me the VIN and I can take a look into it. Nissan has in the past sent vehicles out to to third party companies to have them 'dressed up' for sale in limited numbers with special things on them such as the Chillout R50 and the Desert Runner D21 back in 1986. Never heard of anything like this though with a WD21 and never heard of any ever produced in the US.
  7. Next time you start the truck, as soon as the engine turns over and starts, as you replease the key stomp the gas pedal quickly once to the floor. This will clear out the IACV which may be sticking.
  8. There was an internal 1 page memo sent by Nissan back around July 09 (or somewhere in there) . I remember reading it. We got Matic-S around Oct 09 and can not order J any more. Matic S is the replacemnt for J.
  9. The power amplifier only effects the circuit for the driver window. It controls the auto down feature. If you need a driver side switch, I have a good used one with a very nice clean bezel.
  10. I agree with the above. And your vehicle does have rear ABS.
  11. similar, but the tread patterns will be different today then they were in 95.
  12. a Guy on the phone asked me this morning "how many spark plugs does my 6 cylinder engine use?".
  13. See if it is the oil pressure sensor leaking. It is above/left of the oil filter with a single wire coming out of it. They are notorious for developing a leak over the years. Inexpensive part (about $30 +/-)
  14. Agreed, Haynes can walk you through the front and rear diff drain/refill proceedure. The rear is easy, the front takes a little more patience. Make sure to do these with the vehicle level. Put a little PB blaster on the O2 sensor and let is soak if you are going to take it off. Some come off easy, some want to fight you comming off. You will find out soon enough Stay away from universal O2 sensors. If it doesnt have a direct fit plug on the end, dont get it, splicing wires is not wise.
  15. NISSAN PART NUMBER: 22370-4W000 TANK ASSY
  16. I like the old B&M coolers (or similar style) as opposed to the hayden (or similar style) you mentioned. The B&M have stacked steel flutes around the aluminium to protect it from rocks, etc.
  17. opinions vary on when/if it is ok to put synthetics in. You are at getting ot the edge of where I consider it ok (60K) Of course like anything, each vehicle is different, and has a different 'personality'.
  18. Yeah, pull that side duct work off to get access. At least you wont have to do it as much on the 05.
  19. Front/Rear Diff drain and refill. check transfer case fluid level. Just replace the PCV valve, it is inexpensive. Fuel filter
  20. Make sure to get new washer gaskets for the banjo connection if you replace the hose.
  21. There were two different ones used. If I recall correclty, the changed in 94 so the could use it also in the D21U models.
