My Zone Offroad 2"x3" body lift spacers that I ordered Friday already arrived. That was quick! As soon as my last exam (calc-based physics, oh so fun) is done tomorrow, I'll be installing them to extend my rear bumpstops. Hopefully that combined with trimmed flares (so 3" more clearance) will keep the tire out of the body.

Rust is an evil mistress. Got exams Monday and Tuesday, then I'm planning to go full ham on it. Did a small spot yesterday since it was so nice out and had a peak under the truck, and I'm inspired again. Other than the front end and a couple spots, it's a super solid vehicle. I'm determined to keep it around for a couple more decades. On another note, postimage.org has failed me. My signature and a few other pics turned into dead URL's. I'm doing Imgur now. I like the color. Why'd you choose it? Is there some legit JDM reason that I don't know?

I am a HUGE fan of postimage.org. There's others that people use, but I'm not sure how (like Flickr and Imgur) that have been around forever and will likely be stable for a long time. That super sucks on the delays, now watch...as soon as you get it you won't have a chance to get the work done for two months. Always goes that way.

Still working on getting scheduled for that work. The guy who's going to do it has three LJ's he has to have done by later this month, and right now he's working solo with a back problem that he recently got. I'm in no rush as long as it's done before winter, and he assures me it'll be less than two months for sure, maybe closer to one depending on how fast he's able to work. In other news, school is incredibly busy and difficult right now (this college stuff is harder than I'd expected), so sorry for being a tad behind on the TotM stuff. Congrats to the winner (I think it's NIssanBoston). Infiniti is running strong as always. Just hit 145K yesterday.

Sweet! Glad that worked. I had to do a similar thing on my front door when I first got my truck, but it was a very minor adjustment; I had no idea there was enough adjustment in there to fix your issue.

As long as the hub bore and backspacing are OK, those wheels should fit fine. The tires are more likely to cause an issue. How big are they? PS. I've been wondering when you'd break down and do some suspension mods to one of your trucks!

Also, Hawairish is currently working on a modular system, but he may be a while. No idea what his timeline for finishing the product and getting copies out to people is going to look like.

Don't want to be "that guy", but this has been covered about a million times now. Just to be a nice guy, here's the basic break down (in order of least to most fab work): 1. ARB bumper 2. Modify an XJ bumper 3. Modify a different kind of bumper 4. Full custom There's a company out there called MOVE that just started doing R50 bumpers, but I can't find any pictures of them mounted on a Pathfinder. They use the same style for all their bumpers so you can find pics of them mounted on other trucks.

That skidplate is absolutely awesome! Obviously I already have a bumper, but I'd be down for a set of those skids whenever their available. Too bad it says Pathfinder (although that's the cool part), but I'm not picky.

Very busy day. On Friday I suddenly had a very bad idle that wouldn't go away. Come to find out it was the piston return springs, so pulled the valve covers off and threw some new ones in today. All working as it should now! Idles smoother than it every has. Happy Easter as well everyone!

The deadline for March is already past (2 entries to vote on!), and April is water crossing (or any picture that involves water in any way).

Ooh, that bites! Very unlucky. This is why I always apply the handbrake and lay a 4x4 board under the tires whenever I'm working on it, could have been a lot worse if it rolled away while you were under it! Still sucks, hope you get it worked out, you're rigs are always in such great shape.

Yeah, double posting is an issue with Tapatalk. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it posted so you click it again, but then you've posted twice! Just a quirk to get used to. (Or use the forum in-browser which is my preferred method, even on mobile.) As far as struts, the only ones that are technically an upgrade are the Old Man Emu (OME; not to be confused with OEM!). The KYB perform extremely well, from my experience I would say better than stock, but you won't find KYB struts that are listed as an 'upgraded' part. They're just different; and in a good way! If you can afford OME, those should be better, but KYB is extremely good.

OEM struts will fit fine with an SFD. In fact, all available strut have the same dimensions as OEM. KYB is a highly recommended (and much more affordable) alternative. However, you should not use the KYB top mount and bearing; use OEM for that. Welcome to the forum!

My random front end clunk was really annoying me. Decided to pull the wheels off and see if anything was loose. Nothing was (although thank you Micah, I'll have somebody who knows what to look for better than me check out my tie rods, they seem a little suspicious), however I decided to replace my 3 year old sway link that had no zirk fittings anymore. It was never really greased, so I figured it probably wasn't doing too good. Got the student discount from Advance Auto, and $15 and a couple of hours later the front end is almost silent! Still a little noise, but not like before. (Only took so long because the bottom bolt wouldn't budge with the breaker bar and I couldn't get the impact in, so I decided to drop the whole sway bar.)

That's a really cool idea, I may utilize that for my CB wiring! This is what I was going to suggest. It's what I intend to do. No better solution than the one that's already 99% done! It'll look super clean too. Just gotta do the fuse mod so you can turn on the fog lights without the headlights being on so you have more control over the LED's.

Yup, that's about the one thing I don't like. I don't feel like the 3.5 is terribly underpowered (even with high gearing it'll turn 32's at 90mph easier than the aerodynamics think is possible...lol), but it sure it thirsty. I never saw more than 17.1 bone stock driving like a grandma. 12-14 is the new norm. If an LS can give 25 it may wind up on my to-do list...it would certainly keep the R50 as a viable DD for at least another decade!
