I know the volume control method quite well BUT I lost my remote in the mountains a while ago and my deck is starting to get messed up. I mean its an alright deck BUT i bought it used for 50 bucks. So its hard to turn it up. Belive me thats how I fixed it the first time it happened. Ill try to isolate it more though. I hope I can figure it out soon. Rami

My pathy makes little squeeks and rattles and things every time I go over a slightest of bumps. It sounds like its comming from the front. Last time I had that noise comming from the rear it was my rear sway bar links cuz the bushings were all dead and things were rattling lol. After I took it off.... No more squeeks from the back AND better flex of course. BUT the front is different. The front sway bar is gone and it squeeks and makes like noises like.....uh..... if u were to take a couple of washers in your pocket and walk around with them in there. That prolly didnt help LOL. And when i go over a speed bump it makes a different sound to. like a creeking sound? OH GOD!!! ARG!!!! Rami

If only I had your will to make things pssd I got a Smitty Built double tube bumper from my friend (used to own a 86.5 HB i think) for 40 bucks which I thought was a steal. The thing didnt fit so Im thinkin of doin a little handy work and getting it to fit BUT its kinda hard with out ANY of the nessesary tools haha. Good luck bud Rami

200 bucks isnt bad at all. My pathy is haveing a slight prob with it getting a little hot and 88 told me to check my fan clutch. So maybe if you dont have an electrical fan in that bad boy see if that is the prob. I dont really know what im talkin about just relaying what he told ME to do hahaha. My buddy has a 91 Trooper and we are hoping to get that running SOON cuz I need a wheelin buddy that isnt to scared to scratch his paint or loose a fog light. The only thing is they seem pretty tall and not all that wide. We have never been wheeling with the Trooper so we dont know first hand but it seems like it would tip ALOT easier than the pathy would. AND if you call 4 wheel parts to see if they have a lift for it they will say no one makes one for it BUT Calmini DOES. Calmini 3 inch sus lift for YOUR Trooper!!! Rami

I did the motor mounts in my 89 and it wasnt TOO hard. The way we figured it out was push the brakes and give it some gas. If the motor looks like it wants to jump out and run away than its your motor mount. I got mine from DIP (Discount Import Parts) they were not not spendy from there. Everywhere else wanted WAY to much money. If your motor doesnt move like mine did than its like 88 said and something else is loose or its running bad. Rami

I dont know why that guy was so bent outta shape. Im not to hip with whats a GREAT WHEELIN RIG and whats not since my pathy is the first 4 wheel drive vehicle even owned in the family haha. But if its a great wheelin rig its a great wheelin rig and thats that. For instance so many people think Jeeps are THE BEST and nothin can be better. Well my favorite time of wheelin with a jeep was... ONCE UPON A TIME... I took my Pathy to Goat Mountian (here in Oregon) while it was still completly stock with a Cherokee (locked, boggers, and about 5 inchs of lift) and an CJ (3 inch lift and some 33in BFG A/T). We decided because my pathy was still stock I would go up this one trail first just in case I couldnt make it we would go a different way. Well Jeff (owner of the cherokee) told me before I made a run at it that it got "Pretty hairy towards the end" So I said cool if its bad Ill just come back and Ill ride with someone else up it. Well I get almost all the way to the end of the trail till I couldnt make it passed a pretty good sized rock. I ended up backing down and parked off in a clearing so that the other 2 rigs could make a run at it. I sat in my pathy for about 15 minutes before I decided that it was taking them WAY TO LONG to come up the trail so I hiked down the trail to see where they were at and they were still at the bottom of the trail because the CJ couldnt even make it past the first part. And to think the whole time I was worried about them leaving me in the dust and slowing them down the whole run. So after about 5 more minutes the CJ came up the trail and than the Cherokee. So I HAD to make it since they did. Well I gave it one more shot and made it up and over the big rock and finished off the trail. The guys in the jeeps didnt even think twice. They were both like wow that thing does pretty darn good. I said "I know" and we kept goin. Now it could have been luck on my part but waiting 20 minutes for the CJ to make it past the part that only took only one try for me makes me love my Pathfinder THAT much more. I DID run out of gas not to long ago and I filled it up with 40 dollars (@1.89 a gallon) 21 x 1.89 = 39.69 I think it holds a tad bit more than 21.1. I could have sworn that 88' told me it was actually 21.7??? This was after I asked a buddy to bring me some gas. Rami

MY 89er... The lovely leak we all love so much Rear hatch and window struts are slowly goin' Brakes (have them just have to do them) Small over hearing issue (It might just be the fan clutch Aaron I spun the fan WITH EASE) When my stereo is pretty loud it turns off (????) Dent in rear hatch from creek crossing on one of my first wheelin' trips Dent on drivers side (was like that when I got it) Pass. turn signal needs to be put back on The storage bin thing on the pass. door was breaking and not allowing me to close the door so I ripped it off! The small hole in my floor board from Sand Lake 04' Driver side door kinda saggy so you have to REALLY slam it sometimes Drivers seat ONE bolt not there anymore because I am so strong!!! One of the black things on the front of the hood is gone/hood slightly dented (NOT my fault) There are some other LITTLE things that are wrong and prolly some big things I dont even know about yet but thats all I can think of right now! Im in the same boat as Mud! My pathy makes 101 different sounds (not 101 but DARN CLOSE). I am gonna look in to the manifolds and see where I can get them done for a good price. The only thing is I have to get that balsted body lift on so that my tire will stop rubbing in the front. THAN I will be happy for a while. 1.) BODY LIFT 2.) ENGINE 3.) OTHER STUFF 4.) BARS (this also comes before and after and any spare time between steps 1, 2, and 3) Rami P.S. by bars I dont mean T-bars I mean BARS BARS!

This guy gave me some Auto Trany GUNK© stuff (STILL SEALED) and he said that I could have them (2 bottles) cuz he just bought a manual. WELL MY QUESTION IS... Does it work like it says it does? Has anyone tried it? If so let me know. THANKS Rami

Ill take another look at it tonight. I have a buddy that says he could trim the fenders for me BUT I dont know quite yet. Maybe Ill just put on a the old A/Ts up front and leave the M/Ts in the back. I dont know to mucho about the tranny coolers but I have been told by a couple of my buddies so far that it would be a good idea to get one. I called on some 2 days ago just to get prices and they dont seem to spendy (around $45 and up). BUT when I called a certain place they asked me if I had a stock radiator so I said "Uhhhh I think so" and he answered "WELP ur prolly gonna need a new radiator THAN your tranny cooler" ANYWAYS..... Are they something that would be a good idea to get? Are thet hard to install? Do they work with Stock radiators? OR would it just be better to get a new one? Sorry so many questions. I tried to search but it wasnt workin out for me. Rami
