Ack, thanks. My system is drained as it has a leak and hasn't held refrigerant for longer than 24hrs....last summer when I recharged it. But you are right, I will let the dealer deal with this as I have no tried 2 online sources to buy a condenser from now and both times they came back saying item out of stock.

So about that slightly used SFD...what are you thinking for price? Do you have pics of it installed?

Paint jobs are generally expensive. If your paint is so rough that the clear coat is gone I can only imagine that there isn't much left on the other parts or at the very least that paint be in such rough shape that it wouldn't look anything close to fresh paint. This would mean if you want it to look good you will need to paint the whole car. I don't get how people let their paint become this bad. Regular waxes still need to be applied after regular washes.

Charging for winching? No way, these are all club members, not strangers. It was just 2 rigs. The other group all had winches themselves. A couple of the Jeeps actually made it through. One of them has 40" super swampers, lockers front and back and a V8 swap lol.

No those bead locks are just for looks. They are part of the rim. My tires were aired down quite a bit. Was great for traction but at this stage it started to get sketchy.

Haha yup...spring in the maritimes lol. As soon as it's above 0 in Canada, it's summer! Lol

Lol. There were 7, but in the end 3 of us split a bit early. My Nav was getting a bit stir crazy after 6 hours. Didnt get a good group shot. But there was only one other none Jeep in the group.

Some pics from today's trail run. Pathy held up great with all the jeeps. Only one struggling was a stock JK. Until the end where everyone needed to winch through the water hole.

I would LOVE a 2.5" SFD! Does that require a steering thingy extension?
-
FYI in the last 2 pics, the front is still jacked up, that's not how it sits. That's how I'm hoping it will sit after the springs. Talking of which, what is there in terms of travel limiters to prevent CV joints from locking?

Yes the spacers are a true 2" as each spacer is 1" and I have 2 of them. Fleury says though that the front only lifts 1.75 from it I believe. My front is really sagged which is why I just ordered the OME springs for the front too. They aren't in yet, just to be clear. Hence the rake. My rear as a true 2" spacer lift PLUS 1.75 lift from the OME coils. It's possible that the perches are designed slightly different. Not sure. But yours looks pretty level to me. I prefer a bit of take under no load as it will even out when fully loaded or towing. I just hope that with the HD front springs I won't get the opposite effect. Might have to take out one of the two spacers up front.

And front done on one side. I even managed to get my old oem mudflaps back on by redesigning the brackets.

Washed it today IOT put on the fender flares. One corner done so far:

I'm about to order a new AC condensor from autopartswarehouse. Any chance anyone has a DIY on how to replace this? My search has not turned up any results, but figured I'd ask.

Hawairish: Yes in the second pic my trunk was fully loaded. My current setup consists of 2" spacers front and back. kYB struts in front Bilstein shocks in rear. OME medium lift spirings in the rear. Initially this was supposed to be the final setup but the front springs are very sagged. I find the spacers seem to compress them even more so I bought OME springs for the front as well. My tires are 33x12.5R15

Does it do it only when the brake is applied?
-
Slightly off topic, but didn't want to start a new one. I will have to buy the front springs for my setup as well. As some people know I have the MD OME coils in the rear and stock in front. There doesn't seem to be a MD coil for the front, only non designated and HD. Does anyone know what rate or designation (LD,MD, HD) the "undesignated" coil actually is?

Last time I put my strut bolts back in one of them took a lot of convincing so I know next time it comes out, it will be destroyed. I might pull the trigger on some camber bolts. Just to be sure, the camber bolts go in fact in the same place as the strut bolts, right!? For the longest time I couldn't really figure out where those camber bolts actually go LOL.

Black and silver twins right there! Looking good!

X2 on manual hubs. Less drag will help increase your mileage. These trucks just aren't great on fuel. But in addition to the regular maintenance such as changing all fluids, ensure your bearings are packed with fresh grease, your propeller shaft is lubed, and your brakes aren't sticking.

Looking good as usual! At least your snow seems to all be gone.

Did some testing of my set up! On my lunch break!

Remember boys, it's not about the car you drive but about the size of the arm hanging out the window! Lol that's something one of my buddies used to say. Good looking Pathy! Looks like a pretty nice lunch break. -
I guess it depends on model year. Mine had 16" from the factory. Mine is a 99.5 post facelift. I guess those had bigger calipers than previous models.
-
I bought pacer performance universal flares. Should get them tomorrow. See how that turns out. For deflectors, I bought a kit off amazon, invent style.

Fleury's spacers are synthetic spacers, unsure the material but it will never rust or break. They sort of are like giant hockey pucks that add length to your overall spring/ strut. Many people on here including myself are running them with great success. When you pick 15" wheels, keep in mind you will need to do one of two things: 1- you can guy a 5mm spacer to clear the brake caliper, in which case you will need to buy rear studs and replace the front ones as the rear ones are longer. Or 2-shave your calipers with an angle grinder to make them fit. It won't take much. But there will be just enough room to slide a piece of paper between the caliper and the rim. This is why I did both. Shaved at first, then got spacers anyway and new longer studs. I find there are more options for 15" tires at better prices. I personally went with 33x12.5R15 and think this is the perfect size.
