Sorry to hear. Smell is one of the toughest things to get rid of. You might have to tear everything out and disassemble as much as possible and wash wash wash. Is it from the carpet or from the back seat? Might want to scavenge junk yards for replacements. Might be easier than cleaning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2002 Pathfinder, 5 Speed- what rpm on highway?
CDN_S4 replied to TRUTHABSOLUTE's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
3000 rpm at 70 is actually not bad at all! It does after all range up to 8000. So anything below 4 is still decent for cruising. This isn't a modern "Eco-flex-hybrid" Prius engine after all. Just a plain old fashioned gas guzzling V6. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Lol yeah like I told my wife, she's no Prom Queen lol. I'm thinking that after next winter there will be new rust so I'll replace them then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trimmed the fenders some more to cut out the cancer. But I don't really like the look of it. I liked them better before. Might end up getting new fenders after all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to make custom bumper, anyone know what this is?

Wowzers that's a funky looking airbox. Mine was a black plastic that had a tube go back into the inside of the fender. Mine was all busted anyway so I removed if and threw a CAI (more like HAI) into it. Just make sure to build a splash shield for it as the hole that will be left inside the engine bay where the box draws air from as even just driving in the rain, the tires will throw a lot of water into it and you don't want the intake to suck it all up. As long as the CAI is somewhat enclosed to keep it dryish, you'll be ok. But ultimately a snorkel is the way to go. For the CAI to perform better, hood louvers can help let some of that heat out. And they look badass! -
Yeah that's a pretty popular one for the simplest install as it just requires an antenna mount. I like my dash mount, but I wish I had paid a bit more and gotten the NOAA option and customizable backlighting. But like I said, I like the dismountable option to maintain comms with the vehicle so in the end, having 2 is pretty good. Always good to have a backup too.

Built a super simple mounting bracket for my handheld backup CB, which is also my source for NOAA weather alerts. I used to just have it randomly floating around the truck and it has always bothered me. I like having a dismountable means of communication with me that doesn't depend on cell phone signals. Thanks man, yeah that's Colin. It was a lot of fun to redesign it. I had an idea of what I wanted and then we got started and went from there, making changes, seeing future Hi-Lift mount locations, and made a spot for a large ammo can right behind the tire. Only thing we didn't take into consideration was opening the trunk with jerries mounted as that doesn't work lol. I would have to remove the right jerry to open the trunk. But I can access via the glass so it's not that bad. Besides I only drive with jerries when the situation requires it, which is just on wheeling trips. This is something I can live with. But if I were to do it again, I think I would move the entire A frame over to the passenger side and put not jerries back to back on the driver side. Maybe a future mod lol. And some custom armour to round off the edges, protect the windshield washer fluid tank and finish off the look. Next will be cutting the fenders higher as I don't like the Swiss cheese look too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm slightly confused by your rack question. You say you would put a "baja" rack on the stock cross bars but not a Thule basket? The reason why I'm confused by this is because essentially its all the same, quality etc put aside. Safari, baja, Yakima, Curt, Rhino... All baskets that need to be attached to the roof via either cross bars or the roof rails. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ordered the trail gear rock sliders from rugged rocks today. Can't wait! Custom takes too long and couldn't beat the price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sure, but he's just asking what he needs for the lift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is quite the doom and gloom perspective all for a 2" lift lol. It is crazy where a lifted pathfinder will make it WITHOUT a rear locker! To call it a mall crawler is definitely insulting. But yes to the timing belt, get that done. You will likely also want new shocks, longer ones in the rear, such as Bilsteins. You can either use spacers and reuse all your OEM components or you can get the AC springs to achieve this. Can't do both without jeopardizing the CV angles and causing strut top out off-road. Nice bumper. But I wouldn't call that a stinger. That's just a light bar. Stinger is this: ...as on the Xterra obviously Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I've seen his, was wondering about the weight of the non-stock mounts though and if it could handle it. I'm sure I could find a way to add a second jerry if I wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice!! I'm gonna go on the hunt for one. I really like the look. Do you figure it could handle a 33 plus 2 jerries? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
