  1. No not really in fact it will improve it as the higher compression spring rated coil will keep the rear from sagging under heavy load.
  2. Haha good way of putting it. Yeah that definitely confirms that they are mounted wrong. I believe they are marked # 1&2. That would give the right side, still leaving a chance to be mounted wrong, but upping the odds to 50%
  3. Just use a drop down hitch. I still tow with this. But then again my trailer sits on 31's lol
  4. 33's All washed up! It's been a while
  5. Thanks Kyle. My mechanic said he tried every option with the strut spacers and this was the only way they went in. But I agree too they must be wrong. He must have missed something. I'm still getting the shake as my front wheels are still not aligned. Once I've worked this out, I'll know for sure. And I sure as hell hope this will fix the shimmy. It is a bit of a painful process all in all, but in the end well worth it. The pics don't really show how much higher it really sits when you stand next to it. I washed it last night and I had to get on my tip toes to reach the centre of the hood. I'm 6ft. I now have to actually climb into my car. I love it I've ordered the 4" WJ coils for the rear and a Panhard bracket as well. This will be another week or so before it sits where it will spend the rest of its life. I can't imagine to try anything higher than this. Too much pain. Lol
  6. The strut spacers look the same as in this DIY and Colin said he tried both sides and this was the only way. It doesn't look as angled in reality as it appears in the photos. But logic dictates that something is pushing in the wrong direction. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31584-my-pathy-project-lifting/
  7. This is ridiculous. Something's gonna be wrong. My best guess at this time is the strut spacers
  8. Thanks LoudDog for the pic. I'll order that same setup for my rear. You should adjust your rubber sleeve lol. Hawairish, that appears to be the power steering?! It goes from the PS pump into the axle ? Or pinion... Or whatever this part is called: Now the main reason I went with a SFD was to realign all the stock measurements or close to it. So how come my wheels are still this ridiculously toed in?!?! I've played with the camber bolts and this is the best I can get. What gives?! Should my struts be sitting closer? Are the strut spacers facing the wrong way? They are angled the same direction as the strut.
  9. That's exactly what I'll get. Where did you get the adapter? Have a pic?
  10. Yes, it is higher to climb in and out now. My short wife is gonna hate me lol
  11. Yeah I picked it up last night. Steering is all sorted out. It actually feels like it rides the same as before. But the front is definitely higher! It looks level but when you sit in it you really feel the rear being lower and the front raised. So now I will have to go with WJ springs after all. 4" coil lift plus 1" spacer lift. That seems to be the way to go. My coil ordeal isn't quite over yet lol. Here some pics of the bumper retrofit. Much better!! And here the blocks
  12. I'll let you know tonight when I pick it up
  13. So far so good. Front measures a bit higher than rear. I can't tell from the photo. Also front bumper has been recessed and the light bar moved forward to protect the winch.
  14. Patrick, I've PM'd you. My guy has some questions for you and I want to get you into direct touch with him. Thx
  15. No. He also says that the steering feels really stiff now after the extension link went in. Is this normal?
  16. They are generic flex fenders. You cut them to your needs. Many stores carry them. Not sure of the brand. Install was a bit of a pain due to rust and cut fenders. So I had to cut more to fold over a lip to screw them into.
  17. No I didn't notice it before. In fact they stretched out quite a bit.
  18. No I didn't notice it before. In fact they stretched out quite a bit.
  19. My guy said when he went to jack up the front that there was no travel in the springs, the tires lifted off after 1" of lifting. I might put the OEM ones back in to have it sag a bit more under the bumper weight and get more flex out of the suspension. Is this supposed to happen with OMU?! Seems strange
  20. Still not quite ready. But here a preview:
  21. So the Pathy will be ready tomorrow....I don't know yet if it will sit funny as the shop hasn't put the wheels on yet, but all the spacers are in. He also revisited the bumper mounts and made it sit closer to the motor, less overbite. I also bought a trasharoo bag. And I thought of a simple solution to close the wide gap between the spare tire and the trunk on the hitch carrier. TURN IT AROUND!! I will simply turn it around so the metal brace will be outside and the tire will be right at the tailgate. With the trasharoo, it will cover it up and probably won't even look bad. I also want to relocate the Jerrys to the sides of the spare. Stay tuned my friends...
  22. Clean the idlers. Take them apart. Clean them off and lubricate them. That's what fixed my squeal.
