This is what I came up with a while back. Box It only takes maybe a quarter of the rear space. And that's a Rockford Fosgate HX2 pushed by an Alpine MRV1000 amp, so it can take some SERIOUS beating. Rockford Fosgate HX2

I've always done that bit when refilling the radiator. Fill it and let the engine run for a few till the tstat opens, then top it off. Maybe even check it again after driving some, just in case air was hiding and decided to make it back to the radiator.

Mine did the noise routine for a year until I had the clutch replaced a few weeks ago. Sure enough the throwout bearing was shot.

New paint, new seats, new everything. Makes you wonder what they put it through to need all the new stuff already...

This sorta touches on the subject. With bigger tires, the effect is like changing the gearing. You won't feel as much pull off the line, and you'll cruise around at lower RPM's at the same speed. On flat ground, that isn't too bad, but once you hit a hill you'll really start to notice it, and you'll probably have more shifting there to keep up your speed. You'll probably lose a few mpg also.

Yep, they're absolute crap. If you really want to do this, you can buy the resistor at Radio Shack for like 30 cents.

Sorry to be off the subject, but you have a supercharger on your 3.0?!

Why not buy an aftermarket stereo harness to plug it all in, rather than mangling your wiring?

Check the parking light/dash light fuse closely. Not sure if it carried over to the newer models, on the older ones, they're all tied together on the same fuse.

I believe Jim also killed his rocker panels from hitting ground with his stock nerf bars back in the day. Sliders!!!

I'm doubting the claim of 14.2hp gain just by installing this intake with nothing else (exhaust, etc.).

Couldn't this also be an issue of one side of the front brakes grabbing harder than the other, which would cause the truck to pull when braking?

Yep, I think there was a plug or something. Its been 2 years since I messed with that, though. The whole thing just takes up space anyways.

Mine was sealed as well. With the pipes opened, I hear a bit of a rushing/sucking sound, which I don't mind at all. I've got something in mind to try soon hopefully. I'll post when I try it, it would be a pain to 'splain.

I did that anyways, then unbolted the computer so I could see the pretty lights and have access while test driving it.

Wow. I hadn't heard of that law, and wondered how we kept ending up with these low mile Japanese motor and tranny's around. Had one put in my Honda a few years ago, so that explains things. Its more comforting than grabbing a mystery part from a junkyard and crossing your fingers. Good luck on your tranny!

Search is your friend. Starter replacement

Shouldn't be a problem, just a tight fit. You may want to search the topic of the exhaust manifold leak and replacing broken studs. There are tips for the easiest access to the manifolds, such as going through the wheel wells.
