Thanks this place was great! kind of a long drive though.

Nothing too crazy... and yea I did use 4L when I was climbing and descending steep hills off road... but when on the highway it seems like the trans always wants to use the highest gear it can unless I force it.

Bilstein 5100 Front: PN 33-230405 Shock Length 16.4” OEM Front Shock length 13.6” Bilstein 5100 Rears: PN 33-230320 Shock Length 24.5” OEM Rear Shock Length: 22.85” These are the shock I bought which bilstein said they'd fit with a 2-3" lift... without a lift you'd have to get shorter ones so call bilstein to ensure that you order the correct length! The front OEM shocks are super short but with these it gives plenty of travel. Going to order some UCA's so I can reduce the tension on the torsion bars and get a better ride / alignment as the truck wants to wander all over the highway making me look like a drunkard! lol -
Well the cost isn't really a problem. The problem I'm having is I'm forced to turn off OD when going up hills even on the highway... When I was wheeling over the weekend, in 4h, I'd have to put it in first gear to climb some of the steep hills otherwise it would try to stay in 2nd or 3rd unless I floor it which I shouldn't do off road hah!

'93 SE 4x4 - Refusing to start (sometimes)

Sounds like a starter relay to me... same thing is happening with mine. -
Looking for something that won't make the truck too much louder I just need to be able to squeeze more juice out of this motor. I took the truck off road and with a full load and a few people it has trouble climbing the hills on the freeway without turning off over drive... which I find frustrating when cars get behind me trying to pass and I can't keep up with traffic! Do the doug forley and borla exhaust add enough power that's worth the money? Thanks guys!

Action shot! Today's trip up to the desert near bakersfield... so much fun! It just needs more power! haha
-
haha yea I'll have to order one... using one of the good tires / rims from the OEM set for now... the spare in the pic doesn't appear to have been used much if at all.

I spoke too soon! it was on the drive back from putting on the new tires and the tires were brand new and squirrely on the road. It freaked me out at first but now it runs strong! I was trying to change the PCV valve and broke the 20 year old hose that goes to it and I also ran some more seafoam through it. Now its great! Also swapped the oil and trans fluid. Runs pretty solid now that the tires are broken in!

thanks guys! I appreciate it! This thing goes over curbs and parking blocks like they are speed bumps now haha do u guys think I need to do aftermarket UCA's? It does have a bit of wander in the front end. I think the guy that did the alignment was having trouble getting it to track straight.....

nice! Here is the pathy with the new ~2.5":

Anyone recommend getting aftermarket UCA's? I have the aftermarket torsion bars cranked up but its pretty stiff in the front... any specific recommendations on which ones to get? I have about 2.5" lift in the rear. And how exactly does the UCA's provide lift? These? https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-upper-control-arms-p-142.html Or these? https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-upper-control-arms-by-superlift-1987-1995-2534-lift-p-36122.html Thanks guys! I'll post up pics tomorrow of the results it looks badass!

Rear Spring Options For Lifting Your WD21 Pathy
enkrypt3d replied to 88pathoffroad's topic in How-To's
yea I measured the fender before the springs went on (32") and after almost 35" in the rear. On the front I had the aftermarket torsion bars but they had to crank them way up to get the truck level. Also put on longer shocks and hoping they're not too long as they were pretty tough to get installed... Would an aftermarket UCA allow for more travel on the front suspension as well as save the ball joints from wear? Thanks -
Anyone? Why do I have like 15 threads that no one responds to.....?
-
Yea I'm contemplating getting the doug thorley headers but have no idea what cat back exhaust to get....

Rear Spring Options For Lifting Your WD21 Pathy
enkrypt3d replied to 88pathoffroad's topic in How-To's
I bought some OME Springs and they have the exact measurements that was posted earlier in this thread but OME says it's only going to lift my truck 1.75" when it seems closer to 3"! http://www.rocky-road.com/nissan-pathfinder-lift-kit.html OME2920 at the bottom (1.75") Will I need UCA's for this setup? I also ordered 30% increased spring rate torsion bars to lift up the front along with the new springs and shocks... just curious if I need aftermarket UCA's? What would happen if I don't get UCA's? -
No I think the R50 shocks are coil overs. There are no coils on the front of a 95 pathy only torsion bars and shocks. why would you want to do that anyway? Buy some bilsteins..
-
I love my KM2's so far... They are aggressive looking! cant wait to take them off road and see what they can really do. I don't understand why someone wouldn't like them? They are a little noisy on the street but it doesn't bother me.
