  1. Just ordered some goodies: Air Intake Upgrade ARB 37 Quart Refrigerator Freezer Mile Marker SEC8 Electric Winch TJM 17,600 lb Snatch Strap
  2. yea for sure + winch + compressor + etc etc haha ~2k in parts (again)
  3. Do you think it can be tuned enough to pass CA smog test? Took it off road today and at higher elevations 3000 - 6000 ft it was feeling a bit tired even with the new headers / exhaust.... needs moar air!
  4. Now I know for sure I need a front locker to get over some of these obstacles the mod bug continues....
  5. That sounds pretty cool. I'm itching to get some more air into my VG30... I emailed JWT to find the right pop charger / MAF to use and to stay ca smog legal... sounds like it would require an aftermarket ECU... but also not looking to dump more $ into this beast as tempting as it is haha
  6. Thanks guys! I really like how it came out - even though the fitment wasn't perfect its not that noticeable unless you look closely... They didn't bother mounting the top brackets so I guess that's fine until I plan on adding a winch. Not sure if / when I'll do that though. my Rigid Industries Dually LED lights are going on next and some new side marker lights, and the headlights as they aren't as bright as they should be. The lower mounts are actually pretty solid and I think it would be fine to get pulled out if I did get stuck with some straps on those huge shackles! I'll see about posting some pics but the shop drilled some holes and had to shim it a bit to adjust it properly.
  7. The million $ question is that are these mods worth the HP gains? Nefarious, are you running a VG33 block as well?
  8. Yea its not powder coated its just painted so yea makes it a bit easier.. but yea im sure ill be able to see the top of it over the hood while driving it hah hopefully its not too damn big lol
  9. I wonder how much of a pain it'd be to shorten it.... just by cutting the top portions off and shorten it by 3-4"......... we'll see how it looks once its mounted up I guess.
  10. Hoping the upper grill guard is not too tall ... I told them I wanted it to look like the ARB bar but it appears to be much higher than the ARB bar....
  11. Yes! Thanks Nefarious! I'm trying to squeeze as much juice out of this poor little VG30E... I might try the VQ35 swap to make the cost worth while.... added doug thorley headers with gibson exhaust so hoping that will put some life back into her. She needs more power off road... Let me know how it goes. Looking for something better than the stock MAF which has about a 1" diameter hole.... Would the pop charger fit directly onto the MAF in this case?
  12. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/customer_part_detail.asp?PartID=466 Has anyone tried this MAF sensor? I'm sure it requires an aftermarket ECU right? I also want to try this with their pop charger to go with my new headers and exhaust..! Will this give me some good gains?
  13. Gibson exhaust not gordon hah I wish this exhaust came with flanges to mount up to the rest of the system w/o welding but oh well.
  14. Awesome! Yea cant wait to get her back... and oh yea putting on doug thorley headers with gordon catback exhaust... luckily the shop only broke 2 studs and they were able to get them out without too much trouble.... gonna be mean!
  15. Hey mypath what MAF are you running that allows more airflow? The stock one only has like a 1.5" or less hole which seems really small....
  16. SUP-6065_a Nissan Pathfinder Upper Control Arms by Superlift, 1987 - 1995, 2.5" Lift Ordered these ... from rugged rocks I think. Hoping to get some better alignment and no more wandering around the highway at speed....
  17. Yea truck is in the shop to get a huge list of stuff fixed... new AC condenser, new brakes, new master cylinder, new UCA's and then the bumper... Hopefully it won't be too much trouble for them to fabricate a mounting bracket or modify my old OEM one's ....
  18. Dropped the truck off at the shop they said they should be able to handle it.... I also ordered some Rigid Industries Dually floods 2x2 to mount on the bumper since the headlights are pretty much useless... cant wait
  19. B any pics of how you mount yours?
  20. Yea i just looked at my truck and it only has one place on the frame to mount any type of bracket... I guess I'll have to figure out how to make another hole for additional support...... ugh what a pain!
  21. No CAD but I did measure the width between the 2 upright top mounts it's 28.5" and each mounting plate is 3" from the back of the bumper. I wish these were 6-8" long so I could just drill holes in it directly. Let me know what info you might need and any better ideas than using the OEM brackets... ahardb0dy, on the old style brackets I only see one bolt that attaches to the frame: (screw 62042A)
  22. Yes 2 bolts onto the bumper and one bolt onto the frame... I suppose that would be fine. Now I just gotta find the brackets hah
  23. Yea based on the old style brackets, they are only attached with one bolt on each bracket to the frame? That doesn't seem very secure...
  24. Just measured the tabs and they only stick out 3" which isn't long enough for it to fit inside the holes on the front of the truck unfortunately... Also trying to figure out what to do with the 2 holes on each side of the winch mount... they are 3" wide by 2" tall... wondering what LED lights would fit there.
