Well I mean what else does it take just the transmission and torque converter and transfer case for 4x4? And is it only years above 2002 that work?
-
Hey Adam would this work? And how much of a PITA is it to just swap out the trans (for a shop to do it) I certainly couldn't do it on my own without a lift haha http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-02-Frontier-4WD-Automatic-Transmission-85k-OEM-LKQ-/310913405650?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AXterra&hash=item4863e212d2&vxp=mtr

Haha yea thanks guys! For some reason the lighting in that pic makes it look like its champagne but its really supposed to be white. Your truck looks great too man! What do u guys do about the huge loss in power with these larger tires? I noticed a huge difference on the freeway... the truck could barely make it above 60.
-
Finally decided on what rims and tires! What do u guys think? Installing a 2" lift this week after my torsion bars come in.....
-
They are pretty jacked up ...the body shop mangled them when they removed them.. Thanks Alkorahil u da man! I'm assuming I'll need these even if I get a bull bar right? thanks again!

enkrypt3d replied to Stifun's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Bumping this thread - So I bought 265/75/15 BF KM2's with 15x8 sized rims. Planning on doing a 2" lift. this should be fine right? I want to be 100% sure in case i need to change the sizes before they are shipped. Please advise thanks! -
I'm replacing my bumper and cant find the brackets to mount a new bumper anyone have part numbers? I cant find it anywhere.... thanks guys

Better snatch it up! Parts are getting hard to find for these things though. -
Contacted Bilstein as the 4600's are on a nation wide back order so I dont have much of a choice to go with the 5100's. Here are the part numbers for those that have the WD21's: Bilstein 5100 Front: PN 33-230405 Shock Length 16.4” (Nissan OEM Front Shock length 13.6”) Bilstein 5100 Rears: 33-230320 Shock Length 24.5” (Nissan OEM Rear Shock Length: 22.85”) Hoping they wont be as stiff as my Ranchos!
-
I really wish websites would stop saying parts fit my truck and then they contact me saying it doesn't...... https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-5100-series-bilstein-rear-shock-p-6937.html 4x4parts.com seems to have this shock but obviously they are closed now...... anyone have any ideas or part numbers I can use? Thanks
-
Ok so 4wheelparts.com says the 5100's wont fit my truck as bilstein doesn't make them for a 1995 pathfinder? how is that?
-
Yes I have JRZ RS Pro's on my NSX so I'm very familiar with how they work.... its just that there are so many "Bilstein 5100's" its hard to tell if compression / rebound is adjustable.........
-
So are these adjustable? its not clear to me if the 5100's that work with the 95 pathfinder are adjustable.....
-
Yes the 5100's should accommodate a mild lift right? http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/4-5100-Series-Shocks-For-Most-Lifted-Trucks-with-Black-Shock-Boots.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=90&t_pt=3306&t_pn=S%2fDShockingBIL5100 5100 Series Shocks For Most Lifted Trucks with Black Shock Boots
-
So do the 5100's for the pathfinder have this leveling feature? or is that only for specific models? Obviously the shocks wont give any lift but I bought new torsion bars with 30% increased spring rates which can hopefully give me an inch or 2 of lift in the front and ordered rear springs that should give about 1" of lift.......
-
+1 ! Man that's beautiful! can you make me one of these? I can send you some $ for the effort.... I had this issue a while back but the dealership jerry rigged it so I want to make it right.
-
Yea I'm collecting some new parts along with things that need to be replaced MAF sensor, starter relay, springs, shocks and new rims and tires eventually.... but this needs to be done first to service the trans...
-
The last time it was serviced the tech said that flushing the transmission fluid might do more harm than good if the trans is working fine (as it was at the time)..... I'm hoping that the flush will help and isn't too expensive. I have done the diag sequence before but not since this started happening. The truck sat in the garage for a while not being driven on a daily basis for almost a year but I made sure to drive it on the weekends.... it seemed that it sitting for a while and driving it again on a daily basis that it wasn't as peppy as it used to be. What was the solution you found for this issue?

Bilstein 5100's ordered! Can't wait to get these on! thanks guys

Cool since I cant find the OME shocks I was looking at these: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/4-5100-Series-Shocks-For-Most-Lifted-Trucks-with-Black-Shock-Boots.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=90&t_pt=3306&t_pn=S%2fDShockingBIL5100 Anyone know if these are comfortable? I plan on adding a mild lift eventually and I think these will accommodate that right? as well as have good ride quality!
-
I'm not sure if it just needs service or if there is some throttle position sensor that I need to replace but even when I have OD turned off, I have to floor it to get it to downshift into 1st or 2nd.... it seems like it stays in 2nd or 3rd most of the time unless I'm at a total stop... any clues to why this is? Thanks!
-
I've been trying to find the original Old Man Emu nitro shocks but it seems they have been discontinued! They are being replaced with the OME Sports which I've heard are stiffer and feel about the same as my rancho 5000's ...... I've contacted every supplier I know of to try and find some original OME's but it seems they are gone! Anyone have any ideas? I drive my truck on really bad pavement and tired of being shaken out of my seat..... Thanks!
-
So every once in a while when I try to crank up the truck it just clicks. I've already replaced this starter once (at least this is what the stealership told me)... sometimes it cranks right up sometimes it takes 6-8 times before it cranks.... since its 4wd, is it impossible to get to seeing as you have to drop the front differential right? Or would it be easier to replace the starter solenoid? It's not a huge deal since I dont drive it much but I dont want to be stranded and have no way to start up the truck since its auto! Thx guys

Where does one find a new dash anyways? I have the round kind and its all cracked to hell.... is it a pita to replace it (not changing anything) .....
