  1. what year JGC am I looking for? And how do they need to be modified? (pig tails removed?)
  2. Yes guys I know what the purpose of shocks are for. lol.. I have an Acura NSX with KW V3 Coilovers 15-way compression / rebound adjustable and ride height adjustable.... It's just been a long time since I've ever wanted to RAISE a vehicle and not lower it.
  3. I'm guessing we're talking about the rear shocks from the JGC? Or are the ones from the front the ones I want? Also I would be going with the bilstein 5100 shocks which will allow for the ~2" lift...
  4. http://www.jcwhitney.com/rancho-spacer-kit-rear-quicklift/p2020010.jcwx?filterid=d1686y1995g119j1 would these spacers sit on top of the springs in the rear and if I get new UCA's I'd be done?
  5. I'm not sure what you mean by adding spacers on the ball joints and adding 3.5" torsion crank? wouldn't that be 4.5" in the front??? Wouldn't that put too much stress on the ball joints? And what are 5.9L v8 JGC Springs with straightened pigtails? 4.5" in front and 3" in rear? can you post some pics I'm totally confused...
  6. Ok so whats the most cost effective way to get me a 2" suspension lift? Springs in the rear? (which ones?) new torsion bars or just reindex OEM? Would that be enough without causing any issues with the UCA being at a crazy angle or would I have to swap those out too? I'm trying to decide what's better body lift vs suspension lift? Precise1, you have both? So that gives you 4"?
  7. Haha nice! Should I Go with the 5100 Bilsteins or the 4600's? And I guess I should get all 5 wheels & tires so I have a spare... damn this is getting expensive lol
  8. Yea I know lets get that other moderator in here and speak up! Lmao I think I'm gonna pull the trigger this weekend on some new wheels and tires and hopefully this shop can crank up those tbars even tho its not sagging as much as it used to be...
  9. And by the way what front bumper is that? Looks sick!
  10. I know that shocks do not provide lift - but you have to have to have shocks that can allow for the lift which I don't have right now. Can I get 2" by reindexing the OEM torsion bars? And I heard that jeep cherokee springs in the rear to give a 2" lift? I think I dont need a lift with my 265/75/16 tires & 16x8 rims.. but may need to reindex... And which shocks should I get that are SOFT and not unsettle the truck every time I go over a bump and allow for a 2-3 lift in the future?
  11. So since I'm about to pull the trigger on some 16x8 rims and 265/75/16 tires that should fit without a lift - should these tires look ridiculous if I lift the truck with these size tires and wheels? Second issue - I want to get better shocks and that can support a moderate lift... so which bilstein shocks will give me 2-3 lift and what other parts do I need or should I just reindex my torsion bars? I'm undecided....... thx
  12. haha no thanks ... I might as well remove the hood as it weighs 200 lbs (probably more like 50 but still)
  13. Right but that tubing is very restrictive and has many bends and curves causing loss of flow and turbulence. Replacing the o2 sensor and cleaning maf is easy... or maybe inspecting that rear bearing for the drive shaft......
  14. http://www.carid.com/universal-air-intakes/kn-air-intakes-appollo-series-534642.html anyone seen this? where could I route the hose to get the best cold air? Behind the headlight?
  15. Yes I do... Los Angeles is extremely dusty.
  16. Yes I had one of those filters you have to oil on my NSX and it was a PITA.... the oil would collect all the dirt and clog up the filter... even with the lightest spraying of it. I got tired of the maintenance and saw minimal gains unless I replace the entire intake.
  17. I have the oem paper air filter its pretty much brand new but dont want an air filter that requires constant oiling which requires too much maintenance. If the K&N doesn't require oiling then I may replace it. Or replace the entire intake altogether. I really want to throw a blower on it but dont have a clue where I could find one haha
  18. I have run seafoam through the fuel and the intake but couldn't find the right vacuum hose for it to be sucked into the intake manifold... I have replaced the fuel filter as well... the only thing I have not replaced is fuel pump or injectors. I may send the injectors off and have them cleaned and balanced but it may be cheaper to replace them. I've also seen a few CEL's that have gone away that were code 33 which is o2 sensor... The CEL went away though so I don't understand why it would come and go w/o me resetting the ECU. I guess I can have that replaced too and clean the MAF / PCV.
  19. The entire engine has been tuned up - new spark plugs, coils, wires, rotor, distributor cap etc... timing belt, water pump intake manifold gaskets, all oil pan and vale cover gaskets... maybe one thing I need to clean is the PCV & MAF? Those are the only 2 issues.... that or the injectors aren't spraying well.
  20. Pretty much - Last time I ran it as empty as I thought I could and I think it had 2 gallons in it... and it ran about 195 miles... is there an idiot light when the gas gets too low? I've never seen it come on if so even with the needle below empty.. still 10-12 mpg is still @!*%e... short of rebuilding the engine which wouldn't be worth it most likely what else can i do?
  21. my pathy has only 156k miles on it - timing belt, water pump service just performed. Cleaned the intake throttle body and seafoamed it which really helped. The engine seems to have great power but this last tank I only got about 180-190 miles out of it which means I'm getting less than 10mpg on a 20 gallon tank... would headers really improve mpg and power too? I'd have to upgrade the cats & cat back system too..... thoughts?? my commute is 8 miles round trip every day so its not a biggie its just the longer trips thats killer. And the engine can spin the wheels on slick concrete in 1st gear..... so it has power just sux at gas mileage .......
  22. man! glad you got it back in mostly one piece.... Ive had my car stolen once and it was trashed.....(92 prelude) everything stripped. Terrible feeling...... Just curious what size tires & rims are those? Good luck and getting everything back in order! Makes me want to figure out a better way to secure the truck. The ignition seems so weak and could be busted in seconds.
  23. what are the big brake options by the way? whos running bigger rotors / calipers?
  24. well that sucks... I guess the only other option would be to get bigger brakes then right... which are expensive!
