I've replaced only the sway bar bushings so far but I want to get a list of all the bushings that can be replaced on the suspension (in the front specifically) I went on a light off road trail which was dry and dusty and through some tall grass and while driving home I hear some loud popping noises any time the suspension flexes from the driver's side front... This started after taking it off road for some reason.. anyways long story short, I want a list of all the things that could improve ride quality and reduce noises (squeaks & clunks) So I'll start with what I know of: Upper Control Arm Bushings Lower Control Arm Bushings Upper Ball Joints Lower Ball Joints Tension Arm Bushings (not sure where / what this is) What's left? I want to order it all at once and get it all done at once......... Thx!

Should I get new torsion bars like these: http://www.calmini.com/detail.php?b=1&m=3&t=2&p=626&n= or reindex? I'm looking for better ride quality........ and to make more room in the front for bigger tires! -

I know they say 2.5" is the max lift but would it be a big deal to do a 3" lift? And is this all I need? -

Did you reindex or just crank them up? -

Can you just crank on the bolts to tighten it or having to reindex it is only when its frozen up? -

I was probably going to get 31x10.5x15 as those seem wider and more aggressive - 235/75/15's stick too far inside the fender... thx -
Which LSD did you use in the front? I'm really considering this mod! sounds sick! along with some BFG KM2's aww sookie! http://www.calmini.com/detail.php?b=1&m=4&t=3&p=961&n= would this work? And which bushings did you change out?

$25 do it your self intake (MUST FOR 3" BODYLIFT)
enkrypt3d replied to Balln's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Yes I'm wondering how to reduce the amount of restrictive plumbing that the air has to take just to get to the filter....... not big on K&N (I had one on my NSX and had to clean it all the time).... and of course it has to pass visual inspection in CA is ridiculous so it has to look OEM....... -
https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/front-skid-plate-p-4186.html thinking of getting this as my front skid plate is gone.....

yea i dont mind having the tire on the back but with the loss of cargo space it is a plus to have it on the back...... But also the limited viability in the rear view mirror is a down side. I noticed that w/o the tire on the back it looks almost like an older jeep cherokee... of course if you make a trip to Costco, be sure to park in the right direction for loading & unloading hah

Whats the largest tire sizes on the OEM rims without risking scrubbing the fenders? I love how aggressive the KM2's look and hoping with my sagging torsion bars that they wont scrub... 32 11 15's? -
What differentiates the models that have the spare inside the rear of the pathy vs mounted on the back? I drove a 95 that had it inside and mine is mounted on the back...... any preference or advantages of either?

Yea I would never attempt rebuilding an LSD by myself.. that's way above my head when it comes to transmissions or gears.
-
Yes I totally agree- both the ground cable and the positive cables need to be replaced and probably the battery too... 1 wire from both - & + run to the bottom of the engine near the front so I wonder if its a part of the push button start... I'll try disconnecting one to see if it stops working as I never use it! And I might upgrade the alternator while I'm at it with one from a maxima or whatever puts out more amps... cheers

Yea we'll see how it does after I seafoam it this week - waiting for 2 cans of seafoam and one can of seafoam spray...... im going to spray the whole can inside the intake and put some in the fuel...... but can't find the vacuum hose to use to suck it into the crank case or should I Just pour it into the oil filler cap? -
Yea that's kind of what I was thinking - there is a keyless system and the previous owner had a huge 5000 watt amp connected to it so who knows what tomfoolery he did to the electrical system...... oh and there's a pushbutton start on the dash (!?!?) of course that requires a key to be in the on position for it to work.... Anyways great setup!

Is it a bad thing that I drilled out the part on the throttle body that prevents the throttle plate from opening all the way? I was cleaning my TB and noticed that the throttle plate does not open all the way when turning the throttle cables... so i drilled it out a bit so it can open almost all the way - would there be any negative effects of doing this? I've alreay noticed an increase in throttle response after cleaning it and WOT is a lot better! The inside of the intake manifold however is forking nasty eh......... blehg thoughts? thinking of doing the intake mod to my 95 as the plumbing to get air into the airbox is just very restrictive.... -
LoL do you have any clues as to what is connected to my + side of the battery? I know it might be a bit tough to see...

LOL I have a 50Mbps connection so dont sweat the size the higher res the better! and DAYUM your electrical work is CLEAN! have you seen my nightmare of a jerry rigged battery setup? http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/35312-tachometer-resistor-and-other-electrical-madness/ How in the world am I going to clean this up? I have no idea where to start...
