Definitely sounds like an internal leak in my MC. Do yourself a favor and purchase a brake bleeding system of some sort. I built one out of an old hand vacuum tester and it worked perfectly for my brakes and clutch. The vacuum bleeders can be purchased for about $50 or so. Bubba.....[emoji481]

Definitely x2 on the PPE you can't just grow a new body part. It may not totally prevent damage, but, will definatly minimize it. A good pair of z87 certified safety glasses, face shield, ear plugs and whatnot. Personally I prefer the wrap around frameless safety glasses so my vision is not impaired. Bubba.....[emoji481]

Just take your time and don't rush it. When you start to rush things, bad stuff happens that just adds time to the project. Bubba.....[emoji481]

I've run my 110 full on and haven't hit the duty cycle on it yet. Although a better MIG is also in the works. Bubba.....[emoji481]

I've got one of the 110v buzz boxes running Lincoln inner core flux core wire, .035 to be exact. I run it on highest power possible and it gets good penetration on 3/16 and smaller. Surface need to be clean though. I'm working on getting a TIG setup to add to the home arsenal of fab tools. Bubba.....[emoji481]

New rear bumper for my "95 WD
Manik replied to Manik's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
I am actually building this in a night welding class that I am taking at a local community college. I do have a garage and some of the equipment, but, needed a project for class and this seemed to be a good fit considering my garage is packed with stuff. -

Ok, gotcha. So flush mounted to the face. I'm with ya now. The issue with that is the receiver would be very close to the fuel tank, therefore, not good. Here are some more pics of the build. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/12/eff98d621dd2331620b45e94be10fbcb.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/12/7a76993a1638fdfdcd114dbe1e2e0361.jpg Pretty self explanitory, but, still not 100% complete. Most of the fab is done aside from final cosmetics and fitment. Bubba.....[emoji481] -

Well, we're about in the same boat. I used a cheap water pump purchased online, which will never happen again, it failed overheated and is down again. So the heads are coming off, luckily I have another set, but, I just want this thing to be reliable. I'm beginning to think that it wants to get scrapped. [emoji53] Bubba.....[emoji481]

I sure don't. The top is 3" channel the face is 3/16 plate and there's a lot of 2"x .25" angle. It's pretty darn stout. I'll try and gets some later, but, I haven't finished reinforcing it completely yet. Just most of the structure and cosmetics are done. Bubba.....[emoji481] -

The plans started out as a mental picture, but, I am fabing this up in my welding class, so I had to have plans. This time, I have to say that the project and the plans look the same. The only thing that I didn't allow for is the definate arch along the top inside, which will be corrected in the near future. Bubba.....[emoji481] -
Just thought I'd post some pics and get some opinions. It's not quite done, I still have to fab up D-ring mounts and a license plate mount. I was actually thinking about moving the license plate to the spare tire carrier, any thoughts on that? Anyways, here are the pics of the rear bumper. I'll post more pics later when I get em. Yup, they are! At least it'd be fun for 30 seconds. ::biggrin:: Bubba.....[emoji481]

I'd start with a 3" body lift, 35x12.5x15 rollers and a full exo-cage. Front bumper would be Baja style, with a winch and an extra wide stinger (for front end protection). Undercarriage skid plates, #9 expanded sheet metal over all of the glass and various other body armor. I'd also have a variety of axes, machete's, handguns and tactical weapons as well as the front mounted flame-thrower. I think i'd also like a roof mounted gatling gun just for grins.....

Sure, why not! Bubba.....[emoji481]

Weird rattle noise when in 4 wheel drive
Manik replied to guycar778's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I'd check the cv boots, if there in good shape, I'd blame the hubs. My cv boots were shot for the better part of two years driving on anything from asphalt to mud and wet sand, still made zero noise. I get a similar noise in my hubs in 4-Lo/reverse, not in forward though. I plan on swapping to manual hubs eventually. I serviced the auto hubs when I dropped the engine in a few months ago, along with rebuilding/rebooting them at the same time I did the engine swap. CV's usually are more noisy when their loaded and turning. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps. Bubba.....[emoji481] -
Edit: you get to spend what they have as a payment on your pride and joy. Oh, some on your pathfinder as well. ::chuckles:: Bubba.....[emoji481]

You know u drive a pathfinder when: your a/c doesn't work, the CEL is on, the cabin is noisy as hell and the clutch throughout bearing whines like all get out and you wouldn't trade it for that brand new big ol jacked up full size truck or SUV. Reason, their monthly payment is half their paycheck. [emoji106] Bubba.....[emoji481]

Doubt it's fuel, put gas in her two/three times from different places and the light still goes on and off. It's gotta be wiring issue. Bubba.....[emoji481]
