  1. And Nef, solid is an understatement. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  2. Thanks Nef, the front will be next. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  3. Hadn't thought of that. Actually, my goal is to rhino-line the body. I was actually thinking of pulling that strip off and seeing what the body looks like underneath. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  4. Honestly, the PCM should compensate for the elevation difference. Carbureted, not so much. What you probably experienced was air filter freeze up. Snow gets caught up in the air box, melts enough to moisten the filter element and then refreeze with the influx of freezing cold atmosphere. Used to happen ALOT when I worked as a mechanic in Alaska, same symptoms as your issue. No real fix for it other than rerouting warm air from the engine bay. My 2 cents for what it's worth. 5. I did this / Installed the bumper I built. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  6. Spare tire rack to be reinstalled probably Saturday and then figure out the license plate mount issue. I know it'll be on the rack, just haven't figured out the best way yet. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  7. Ok, I've got it bolted up. Tightened it up to the body by taking the 2 inches off the brackets. The front is next, in time, it'll get done. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  8. Well, I will get it mounted tomorrow. The spare tire carrier on my WD has been bent it, about 1/4" from the body and the lower hinge was rusted almost solid. Took that to work, ground off the swedged end, knocked the pin out, cleaned the hinge out and made it work like new again. Straightened it out in class on our beast of a welding table and got it ready for reinstall. More to come tomorrow evening. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  9. I didn't realize that the frame was so thin at the mount ... Bubba.....[emoji481]
  10. Here ya go. Next it'll be on the truck.. Going to cut a couple of plates tonight to "sandwich" the frame rail just for some extra rigidity. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  11. Ok. I've got the mounting brackets shortened 2 inches and notched the top channel to set the bumper back closer to the body. Today it received a liberal coat of rustoleum rattle can black at work in our paint booth. The paints still curing at work so I'll upload pics of it tomorrow morning. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  12. Got in class a bit early to take care of the final fitment and final welding. Instructor had to take a break between classes, so, gave me a chance for a status update. Damn it's gonna be sweet!! LOL!! ::thumbs up:: Bubba.....[emoji481]
  13. Starting to go back together with the beast. And installing a Hayden oil filter relocation kit. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  14. Ok guys here's my rear bumper. Not mounted permanently yet. I will tack weld it here and final welding and bracing will be done at school. If you'll notice the little white strip under the hitch, that's the license plate. I haven't moved/removed it yet. I knew there was going to be a gap between the body and bumper, but didn't realize it was going to be 3-4 inches wide :-/. That'll be corrected at a later date. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  15. Started to mount the rear bumper I built. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  16. Received my oil filter relocation kit in the mail. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  17. Just corrected this issue with mine a few months ago. I'd check the upper links on the rear end. Mine would get incredibly stupid at 60-65 mph if I hit the slightest bump in the road. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  18. Well, ordered camshaft seals a few other parts as well as an oil filter relocation kit. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  19. First experience in a stick shift, I was 12 years old, in a 69 Chevy K5 Blazer with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree. Oh, 8 inch lift kit on 40" super swampers. Not a good experience, took out a boat and a BBQ pit. Next was a 73 Chevy Cheyenne "Heavy Half" with a 350 and 3 on the tree. Loved that truck, drove it most of the way through high school back in the 80's. Oh, no A/C or power steering. It was a beast. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  20. Great minds think alike::cheers:: Bubba.....[emoji481]
  21. Hmm... Sometimes the "Purge" sounds Iike a good idea. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  22. I completely agree Nef. That's why the last pics will actually b the mounting brackets. They're 3/16 plate and will be gusseted and reinforced once welded to the bumper after drilling and fitment is addressed. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  23. Quick update.... Tonight in class I fab'd the following bumper mounts: They're not getting welded in tonight. I still need to get the bolt pattern off of the frame. I think what I am going to do is get them drilled, take the bumper home, fit it, tack it together with my tiny 110 buzz box and bring it back to class for final welding. I'm getting close!! Bubba.....[emoji481]
  24. Ordered parts to get mine back on the road.... Bubba.....[emoji481]
  25. Manik

    Braking issues

Stuck or sticking calipers will usually yield a pull to the left or right and not be an intermittent problem. More of my 2 cents. Bubba.....[emoji481]
