  1. Ok guys here's my rear bumper. Not mounted permanently yet. I will tack weld it here and final welding and bracing will be done at school. If you'll notice the little white strip under the hitch, that's the license plate. I haven't moved/removed it yet. I knew there was going to be a gap between the body and bumper, but didn't realize it was going to be 3-4 inches wide :-/. That'll be corrected at a later date. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  2. Started to mount the rear bumper I built. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  3. Received my oil filter relocation kit in the mail. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  4. Just corrected this issue with mine a few months ago. I'd check the upper links on the rear end. Mine would get incredibly stupid at 60-65 mph if I hit the slightest bump in the road. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  5. Well, ordered camshaft seals a few other parts as well as an oil filter relocation kit. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  6. Great minds think alike::cheers:: Bubba.....[emoji481]
  7. Hmm... Sometimes the "Purge" sounds Iike a good idea. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  8. I completely agree Nef. That's why the last pics will actually b the mounting brackets. They're 3/16 plate and will be gusseted and reinforced once welded to the bumper after drilling and fitment is addressed. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  9. Quick update.... Tonight in class I fab'd the following bumper mounts: They're not getting welded in tonight. I still need to get the bolt pattern off of the frame. I think what I am going to do is get them drilled, take the bumper home, fit it, tack it together with my tiny 110 buzz box and bring it back to class for final welding. I'm getting close!! 10. Ordered parts to get mine back on the road.... Bubba.....[emoji481]

    Braking issues

Stuck or sticking calipers will usually yield a pull to the left or right and not be an intermittent problem. More of my 2 cents. Bubba.....[emoji481]

    Braking issues

Definitely sounds like an internal leak in my MC. Do yourself a favor and purchase a brake bleeding system of some sort. I built one out of an old hand vacuum tester and it worked perfectly for my brakes and clutch. The vacuum bleeders can be purchased for about $50 or so. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  13. Definitely x2 on the PPE you can't just grow a new body part. It may not totally prevent damage, but, will definatly minimize it. A good pair of z87 certified safety glasses, face shield, ear plugs and whatnot. Personally I prefer the wrap around frameless safety glasses so my vision is not impaired. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  14. Just take your time and don't rush it. When you start to rush things, bad stuff happens that just adds time to the project. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  15. I've run my 110 full on and haven't hit the duty cycle on it yet. Although a better MIG is also in the works. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  16. I've got one of the 110v buzz boxes running Lincoln inner core flux core wire, .035 to be exact. I run it on highest power possible and it gets good penetration on 3/16 and smaller. Surface need to be clean though. I'm working on getting a TIG setup to add to the home arsenal of fab tools. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  17. I am actually building this in a night welding class that I am taking at a local community college. I do have a garage and some of the equipment, but, needed a project for class and this seemed to be a good fit considering my garage is packed with stuff.
  18. Ok, gotcha. So flush mounted to the face. I'm with ya now. The issue with that is the receiver would be very close to the fuel tank, therefore, not good. Here are some more pics of the build. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/12/eff98d621dd2331620b45e94be10fbcb.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/12/7a76993a1638fdfdcd114dbe1e2e0361.jpg Pretty self explanitory, but, still not 100% complete. Most of the fab is done aside from final cosmetics and fitment. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  19. Well, we're about in the same boat. I used a cheap water pump purchased online, which will never happen again, it failed overheated and is down again. So the heads are coming off, luckily I have another set, but, I just want this thing to be reliable. I'm beginning to think that it wants to get scrapped. [emoji53] Bubba.....[emoji481]
  20. I sure don't. The top is 3" channel the face is 3/16 plate and there's a lot of 2"x .25" angle. It's pretty darn stout. I'll try and gets some later, but, I haven't finished reinforcing it completely yet. Just most of the structure and cosmetics are done. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  21. Sammy, its all good, been tested and will be just fine.
  22. The plans started out as a mental picture, but, I am fabing this up in my welding class, so I had to have plans. This time, I have to say that the project and the plans look the same. The only thing that I didn't allow for is the definate arch along the top inside, which will be corrected in the near future. Bubba.....[emoji481]
  23. Just thought I'd post some pics and get some opinions. It's not quite done, I still have to fab up D-ring mounts and a license plate mount. I was actually thinking about moving the license plate to the spare tire carrier, any thoughts on that? Anyways, here are the pics of the rear bumper. I'll post more pics later when I get em.
