  1. It was -30C today...i turned the key and almost wept as the last of the battery power turned her over this morning. Maybe i,ll plug it in tonight.
  2. She set me back 22big ones....biggest impulse buy ever as I only went to test it.
  3. An absolute blast. And underpowered? Only because its listed at 101hp. But this thing only weighs in at 890kgs so It does have some go to it. I am working on a supercharger mod tho to push it to 194hp over the next year or so. Sticks to the road like glue with a nice "not too tight" suspension. Fantastic. As for quirkiness, it's Italian; so it kind of has to have a few hang ups. Ive already had to use a quarter to wedge the A/C controls into place as there is no fix for the irritating squeek it makes. My biggest problem is getting into it after driving the truck for a bit...I've had a few close calls with hydro poles and curbs when making a right turn.
  4. If this is the redesign, i like it. Well, except for the door handle job and murano-ish front end, And non-beefy tires, and 4-runner-ish shape, and....you get the idea. I'll give it this: It looks better than its retarded little brother at the top of the thread.
  5. My new baby.... ...The truck now suffers from older sibling syndrom.
  6. Looked at swapping my turn signals with the side markers...harder than i thought. Installed the left mud flap in the passenger rear footwell(damn rust). I might relocate the right one tomoro...for asthetics only of course.
  7. Thats really tricky. How much O2 are we talking about? If its alot, then you MAF is going to assume that mix is 22% O2 and adjust fuel accordingly. However your O2 sensor wil read that you are burning lean. I have an 89 so im not sure if your eccs will adjust fuel based off the O2 sensor( mine doesn't). If it does, then you are back to square one. Also, without a way to adjust the oxygen flow with the throttle you are going to really mess up your fuel map. If its just a tiny bit of O2, inject it at an even flow after the MAF. This way if the O2 sensor can change the fuel ratio, it will do it based on the same mass of air(sans the extra O2). the result wil be slightly more fuel with slightly more oxygen to help it burn....if the eccs doesn't use the O2 sensor for fuel mapping, the mixture should just birn alot better and you'll be running a little lean. this could be very interesting. I look forward to reading about what happens...good luck mano.
  8. So I'm not really new to the forum. I've been a member since 2008 but ran into a few snags that have made me register as a new user. How many people here use the stay logged in function for the site? My advice...DONT. I did, and as such, never reset or bothered to remember my password. So, when i deleted my cookies (oops)no more access. No problem, I'll just ust the password recovery. Ooops again; I changed interenet suppliers and no longer have that email address...I remeber my user id, which is astounding for my goldfish like memory, but thats it. So, here I am again. If an admin could help me get my accont back that would be great. If not, thats ok too; but please then delete LittleRed89 so there isn't 2 of me in here. Thanks all Happy Wheeling.
  9. have you remove the airbox recently? I had a similar problem last summer. It turned out to be a pinched vacuum line. It made for quite a violent ride.
  10. Don't drive it much since i bought the new fiat. went to service brakes and rotate tires...Jack slipped, Truck fell, jack-stand hit me in the mouth...twice. Teeth though the lip never feels nice. Next up> service brakes and rotate tires when my face heals..then body work.
  11. i looked at the rust and frowned....i need a garage.
  12. ok there gorilla-love. you don't gotta be snotty with the grand wizard thing. were all just puuting in a couple of pennies in here.
  13. I've played this game before..check out the post Things not connected to stuff. i have the same connector, i'm sure everyone does. its not for the shocks, cause my shock connectors are in the wheel wells. and this one behind the battery has a factory jumper wire plugged into it. you have A/C?
  14. now for my question. does the manual list how the injectors fire? i know its mastly injector a that runs, but when both are firing, is it sequential or simultaneous.
  15. try adjusting your fast idle cam. It should be listed in your haynes manual. if you don't have one, you should pick one up dude they are super heloful for all the small stuf like that.
  16. x2 on this. I starting running 15w40 in the summer and it smoothed out alot of little noises. hpw
  17. looking at them they are the same. all the wires match up to the right pins and components. I just looks like the 2 manual arranged things differently. If the first one is from Mitchell's go with that one. My mitchell's diagram (1989) was spot on to the pont where almost all the nca(no coloour assigned) were all the same colour.
  18. Kinda funny thing. I was reading this yesterday and thinking you've got some work cut out for you on the wiring match-up. checked in today and as soon as I saw that you'd figured it all out, I remembered that I have ALL the info you needed written on a printed out z31 wiring diagram from when I was thinking of swapping out fuel systems and going turbo.
  19. -the earlier Z-car i6's were only 7 lbs heavier than our V's(nissan4u.com) -I do agree with the sound. I like hearing two Geo Metros doing battle under my hood. Skyline's i6 was only replaced for the 1 reason everyone is kai-boshing the design; V6's are more space-efficient, and give the car a better overall wieght balance
  20. soak whatever bolts/nuts your removing with Release-all penetrating oil and solvent. I just use 1/2 a can on my manifold studs and exhaust bolts...not one broken and almost all of them came off. Also, if a nut siezes(?) on a stud, there is so much lube in there that the whole stud just comes right out. No more snaooing off at the block. CAUTION: no smoking, and things get a little messy.
  21. that's cause its a 93. Those cowls have cross mesh in them to make the holes small; that's why I switched for them instead of the earlier ones. which are just 3/8 inch slats with 3/8 inch gap between them. as they say..the hole was that big | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | but really twice as wide(I can't firgure out how to make the text box do what I want).
  22. Im gonna X2 on this check the rear upper links for any play. if they are loose youre axle is going to want to spin, but the lower link or prop shaft wont let it. This might cause a vibration.
  23. thats AWESOME. I have like 90 of these rivets. Every time I go to the JY I steal a bunch. Those, and the grille snaps. Ya never know when ya need em.
  24. I don't know about averyone else, but mine does exactly what I wnat , when I want and it doesn't piss and moan a lot about it. It starts better then newer cars; runs better than newer cars, and, resonds better than newer cars. When it kicks up a fuss, I can tell exactly whats wrong. And, my ORIGINAL O2 sensor is stil in perfect working order, even with burnt off insulation and 303k km on the engine(I KNOW)!! Best off all. I was looking at her tonite from my balcony, and man is she pretty; I want to say I'm gonna drive her forever, but wouldn't be surprised if I actually do. Love...is a many spenldoured(splendored for USAese) thing. Or maybe, it's just a 2-door Pathfinder
