  1. I have my Pathy for almost one year and I'll be changing engine oil soon. At the beginning I filled it with fully synthetic oil 5W30, I drove about 5500 miles and I had to add another 3,5 litres of oil because of oil burning. There is no leakage as floor under the car is clean. So now I am going to fill it with mineral oil 5W30 as Nissan recommends. But there are only two choices of such oil in my country: Mopar (expensive) and Petro Canada Supreme (could be cheaper). So I wonder if I had to go with 5W30 or can I use other type of mineral oil - what type?
  2. I like the look of those JDM lights.
  3. Good job so far. I am waiting for the rest of your pictures.
  4. Nice pictures and nice landscape.
  5. And little bonus, I replaced rear rubber plate with aluminium one.
  6. Recently I made a skid plate and spare tire roof carrier. Here are pictures: Roof carrier is made from square steel profiles 1x1 cm, 2 mm weight. Central element is taken from Mitshubishi Pajero door carrier. Bolts are custom made too. Element at the right side and spring are from Pathfinder original carrier. Mounted on rooftop. And with wheel. Now skid plate. It is made from 3 mm aluminium plate.
  7. Once again about flushing the coolant system. When I flushed mine there were about 5 litres of coolant from radiator and about 1 litre in reservoir tank. So 3 litres remained somewhere in the engine block. I filled radiator and reservoir tank with new red coolant (6 litres) and after few days when I opened radiator cap there was old green fluid. Apparently new fluid went to the engine block and old fluid went to radiator. I am not going to flush it again but how to drain engine block? As for me there is no use in replacing coolant if it can't be replaced in 100%.
  8. Painted area near fender flares. Started doing a skid plate.
  9. Currently I am doing a project of removing rust. So today I removed front bumper because it need some paintings and some clips were "unclipped". I removed front fender flares and there was a lot of rust at the driver side. I removed the rust. There were even three holes in the plate made by rust. There was a hole in my wind washer tank so I removed it and I covered the hole with polyester resing and fiber glass.
  10. You are absolutely right but unfortunately i found the water pump plug earlier and removed it. It was a very big mistake. The bolt is mounted in a hole depth of 10 cm. When I unscrew the bolt then it felt into canal below. It took about four hours to take it back and reinstall. I had to remove radiator cover and other things... At the end I applied thread sealant and corect torque. Tomorrow I'll fill it with water and check for leakage. Once again to everyone - do not touch the plugs in the engine block.
  11. I am flushing coolant. It is written in the manual that there are 3 drain plugs: - under the radiator - near the water pump - at the right side of the cylinder block. I can't find that last two drain plugs. Could you help?

  20. I need to flush brake fluid because it is black and probably is dirty. I found the procedure in BR-9 but I don't understand how to locate a brake fluid bleeder valve and how to release it (point 1 and 3 from below). Could you give me some instructions? Here is the procedure:
