  1. I am looking for someone from PCOA forum as I am unable to register there. No matter what email address I type (including .au) I get message: The e-mail address you entered is not allowed to be used. I need to register there because I want to ask about Australian Ironman/Lovells springs.
  2. All brakes are replaced and bled. But I think that brake pedal is too soft. Actually it was soft before I started replacing brakes. I'll try to bleed the system one more time with more care. I just don't know where LSV air bleeder (4WD models) is and how to bleed the master cylinder.
  3. Thank you guys for nomination I like that you like it.
  4. Ok, I did it with wooden block I have one wheel to go and today it should be finished.
  5. Rotor is off and broken bolts are off. Now I am torquing the wheel bearing lock nut to 70lbs but I can't get even into 50 because rotor is spinning and I can't hold it by one hand. Is there any trick to lock the rotor?
  6. I am replacing front brakes and I have a problem. Right hub was very dry inside like there was no grease. One screw that was holding wheel bearing lock nut was fall out and second was loose. I took everything off from this hub (all bolts and torque member and cylinder body) but I can't take off the rotor. It is locked. How to remove that rotor? Left hub was full of grease and I could take off the rotor. But bolts which where holding the torque member were very tight and I broke that two bolts ;( How do you suggest to remove that broken bolts from the torque member body?
  7. sroeser01 - I am from Poland, Europe and Lovells are available here
  8. Ok, I'll buy new springs, but I don't know which type. I have following rear springs available: - Ironman NISS035B +35mm +200 kg - Lovells DRR-83HD +35-50mm +100 kg Lovells are little more expensive, but they are in stock and I have to wait more than month for Ironmans. Second thing is that Lovells should be higher, up to 2", and I am afraid of top-out and buying an additional spacers/camer bolts as you do with AC 2" lift. (those things are in front but maybe I'll go with front too) Finally Ironmans are HeavyDuty and I am afraid that they could be too hard as I don't drive with so much load. What do you think?
  9. I found an information about stock vehicle height: I measured my height and this is what I have got: Front: Left - 82,5 cm, Right 82,5 cm Rear: Left 79,5 cm, Right 80,5 cm It looks like it is too low so maybe it is the time for the new springs? I have some photos: The wrench has 14,5 cm length and the hand is not mine
  10. The brake fluid is fresh as i flushed it two months ago and I bled system now too. It is copper compound on the hub. I didn't adjust the adjuster so maybe this is the reason I don't feel any difference.
  11. I finished replacing drums. I have new shoes, new drums, new springs and new cylinders. But unfortunately I don't feel any improvement in braking. I have some photos below. First is my spring compressor
  12. Bluewulf73, thank you for a comprehensive description. I definitely will go with new cylinder and thorough cleaning. I am going to take the drums to a shop to measure its diameter.
  13. I managed to remove the drum. I had to make a new thread for 10 mm bolt. I measured the drum and I think it has not more than 296 mm which is its limit. The pads have about 5 mm thickness. Do you think I should buy new drum and pads or only drum? I also found a leakage from piston/cylinder. I suppose it appeared during drum removal. What do you think about it?
  14. I think I might have squeeze/press the adjuster instead of loosening it. From the picture below it looks like one should use two screws and push the lever with one screw and then rotate upward adjuster wheel. I was rotating it downward.
  15. Ok, I'll tray to spray it with WD40 and make a new thread. Currently I can not spin the drum.
  16. I was trying to open rear brake drum and I am stuck now. This is what I did: I jacked up one wheel, parking brake was released and transmission was set to P. The drum didn't want to open so I was hammering it for a while. Next I used two bolts 8x1.25 and I managed to pull drum for about 8 mm. Then I heard two sounds like loud click. Threads (for those 8x1,25 bolts) inside the drums have got broken so it must be locked very hard. The drum was still locked. After that at the backside I found two nails with arrows. I know that those nails keep some springs and now they are not any more. Finally I found a rectangle rubber cover at the backside and behind it was something that I thought is the adjuster. I managed to move it few times with flat screwdriver but the drum still won't open. I think it could be even more locked after that adjustment. Help me guys how to open that drum. I could re-thread bolt holes and use longer/bigger bolts. If nothing can be helped can I just put the wheel and drive it to a shop?
  17. Maybe something wrong with fuel pump.
  18. Today I replaced front struts at shop. The mechanic said that there is no need to adjust an alignment because it is not adjustable. So should I go for wheel alignment?
  19. I just found out that genuine pads for R51 are made by Jurid. Photos:
  20. Ok. I'll choose something from Bosch, Brembo, Ferodo and Magneti. Thank you.
  21. I am going to replace brake rotors and pads soon. I have different brands available than you in US, but maybe you know some of it?
