it wasnt to bad to do i did mine when i changed my stock ones for my smoked pair me and a freind it it only took like 20 mins for both being that was my first time

i would show you mine but its a botch stuffing all my new wiring harness in the little hole behind my new cd player lol. I know it lights up though. All the buttons do i beleive it lights up white. Ill see you mine if u want it ill never use it again.

I bought my last pathfinder with that exact same part broken and they sold it to me for 500 bucks becasue they didnt know what was wrong with it. It was sort of a bitch because it was really hard getting the 2 bolts to line up but i finally got it and only spent 59$ instead of the shop wanted 478 or something like that

o ok i wasnt sure i just figured i would ask. But yeah i like the z cars hows your tt running? i might be doing a rb swap in mine. But yeah i think its a lost cause pretty much need to get it repainted and clear coated i would say sand it but i bet the color is slitly faded where theres no clear coat so you would see the spots. Plus like someone said it looks like acid rain so it will probably just do it agian.

i have the same problem ill try to look into it also. Mine only does it every once i na while on certain roads so i almost thing its the road in my case but it has the same syntoms

wiggle the wires that connect to your MAF idk something to try.

i had the same problem my hood would just barly hit the top of the wires and it would casue a tiny tiny short and ifi didnt have it in the right spot then it would run just like what you said. All i did is pushed a little and wiggled the wire around where it connected tio the sensor and it eventually works and i didnt have a problem ever since. I think it might have been just no pluged in that tight though. If you end up still having a problem i still have my wire with the plug on it u can have before i junk the car.

if no one knows ask on z31performance.com thats the z31 300zx forum and im sure someone would know on there. both the pathfinder and the 300zxx have the same motor if yours is like the 90 -95

my friend welded is rear end on his 240sx and damn he ever go through tires just driving around normal.

my guess is its the tstat also. Mine was replaced but i kinda want to replace it again with one that will blow a little warmer

do the headlights cut out at all or no? might be the headlight switch having a short or something

this kinda sounds like what happen in my parents landcruiser. does the cd player get really really hot?? if it does then my guess is that to much power is going through the facotry amps and is causeing them to over heat and turn off or is making yours get hot and turn off for overheat protection. I think what i eneded up doing was no using the ground wire. Another thing to try is bypass the factory amps. it will sound alot better too! also if it is still doing it try rewiring to your speakers. Run your own wire to your speakers to see if it still cuts out. I would take the door panel off and just take the speaker out and have the wire lay out and only hook up to the front 2 speakers and test it that way. If its still cutting out i would make sure your cd player isnt a bad. hope that helps

that would be cool to see it atleast recycled rather than crushed! insurence probably wont give much for it. its only the top that F'ed up right?
