  1. Off topic for a second.....you see many 411's up that way? I'm sort of looking for a wagon. You seem to have a Datsun connection!
  2. It is insanely rare to find a 68-73 510 of any variety (sedan, coupe, or wagon) that hasn't been modified. It was one of my favorite dimes for that reason, and I always hoped if it found a new owner it would stay the same. I talked to him for about 30 minutes one time, just a neat guy, sorry to hear he passed.
  3. OK, glad to hear that car is still bone stock. Its been so long since the Shasta meet existed! Haven't seen that car in ages.
  4. Jamesrich has one, though its on a WD21. Maybe hit him up.
  5. That 510 looks like one that used to make it to the Mt Shasta meet. A Canadian owned that one I believe.
  6. Place on Hartnell next to Harbor Freight. Try them. He aligned my old bagged Hardbody and took the time to get it right. My buddies Pathfinder and now mine have been through there and we've been happy.
  7. He either regeared or it was a crawler and he didn't mind it took forever to get going.
  8. Looks good man! I've dragged my hitch out wheeling a couple of times now, it was worth the 15-20 bucks I paid already!
  9. Did you bleed in the proper sequence according to the FSM, and did you unplug the ABS module or unhook the battery while bleeding?
  10. Fenders Ferry! That's the road. Yea most of Whiskeytown is open. They left Peltier open a couple months ago and I was on some of it at night. Still haven't been on it during the day. A PGE gate was open the same night so ventured off along the power lines. I've been wanting to hit Peligreen Jeepway out of Red Bluff. But I'll probably wait until late Summer/early fall when temps go down. Found a book at Barnes and Noble with a few decent trails to hit around here. I'm sure having a dual sport you've hit most of them.
  11. Try this. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/23512-voltage-regulator-for-gastemp-gauge/ Search for me is hit or miss. I like to Google my problem with Pathfinder at the end and it seems to lead me to a fix from here normally.
  12. The gate to bally has been open lately. The gate past the falls I've never seen open. At this point I've given up on that one. I think the Lewiston one is one I've wanted to hit. My buddy had me out on a road that runs from 299E all the way to Lakehead, we just went as far in as a little dam though, didn't have time to do app of it. Can't think of the name.
  13. Yea, you know from living here people will steal anything. Regulator is behind the dash, there is a thread around here about it I think. Get that timing belt done ASAP! Your truck is on a 60K timing belt change, the mid 93's to 95 are on a 105K schedule. If you have a dual sport you've been to the good spots. Few roads I found in a local book I'd like to check out, but its so hot now it just doesn't sound fun. I've just been poking around the OHV park and going up Shasta Bally and around Whiskeytown when its not unbearable.
  14. BeerGarage! Man I've used your site a few times. Always wonder if you were a silent member around here. I know Precise1 is in Santa Rosa, not sure if he has anything you need.
  15. Yikes. A local. Im in Redding. Was your D21 built at all? Stolen and stripped, or stolen and still not recovered?
  16. Are you checking gallons at fillup or are you guesstimating? Because my truck will go forever on E.
  17. You may have to remove these little brackets to remove before you put it on. I think everything is a 19mm. Once you take those brackets off its pretty self explanatory.
  18. Pssshhh. I chatted online with an AT&T rep about upgrading my phone. The name....... Jean Kevin Smith.
  19. What? I like weird colors like that. I was a huge fan of all late 60's to late 70's Datsun colors as well though. There was definitely some BSB (baby sh*! brown!) in those years.
  20. Are you positive its your VSS or is it the plastic pinion gear? There is a test using an OHM meter in the FSM I believe. My plastic pinion gear started loosing teeth, my VSS was fine. 20 bucks from Nissan and I'm good to go. Also, my local Pick n Pull had one for 10-20 bucks. It worked, I was buying it because i thought it had the right gear. The unit itself doesn't fail that often that I'm aware of.
  21. The VSS is in the transfer case, assuming you have a 4WD. Passenger side, held in by a single 10mm (maybe 12....pretty sure 10) and it will slide right out. Some tranny fluid will come out, be prepared for that.
  22. Yikes. I wouldn't go that far. The Ass-tek is bad from any angle. The Juke just looks weird from the front.
