I am happy with my Warn hubs. The front just feels lighter on steering and coasts farther on decelerating. This is a great investment.

Locally, I have a lot of options to drive off road when it comes to short trails and mudbogs. When it comes to rock crawling, my buddies and I like to camp and wheel on the closest national park (http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trails/info/north_carolina_09210/ride_10e8.htm) where we can purchase a "one day" pass to wheel. I often wheel in my backyard when I need to test a new modification to my truck or when I've had too many beers to drive away from home.

I too use the bargain bin at the local big box auto parts store. I think I have three different styles on mine as she sits. One thing I learned early was to start the threads by hand (around the same time I learned to use a fuel hose to start my spark plugs) and torque them by hand. Never use an pneumatic impact wrench to tighten them!!

With the engine running? I just walked out to my driveway and shifted into 4-lo and back without moving the vehicle. I had to make sure since it has been months since I've done it.

Do you have your transmission shifted into the "N" position?
