The FSM says to replace the rear shock nuts, not the bolts. [089128421A] NUT (top bolt) [089129441A] NUT-SELF L (bottom bolt) The washer between the lower stud and the nut apparently can be reused. For what, $3.xx per side I'd just replace them.

The 1996 Pathfinder has an analog odometer and trip odometer.

The headlights are relayed on R50s. Would an upgraded (i.e. thicker wiring) headlight relay harness still be worth the cost and effort?

Oh, I didn't read your year. This Maxima MAF is known to work with VQ35 equipped R50s, but I don't think I've heard of anybody using it on a VG33E Pathy. I have no idea if it'll work.

You may want to install an auxiliary transmission cooler and in-line filter once you've completed the swap to prolong the life of the transmission. What year did the trans come out of? 2001+ has the HD version of the RE4R01A. If any of your Bose components fail I've got a full set of speakers (including the front amps) and the rear amp I'd love to get rid of for cheap. No head unit/6CD changer, though. I've said this before, but have you put threadlocker on your power valve screws yet? There's been a couple people with QX4s on NICO who had at least one power valve screw fall out post about it this week.

How often are you cleaning your filter? Excessive cleaning and oiling reduces the efficiency of the air filter and can result in oil buildup on the MAF sensor. Inspect your radiator cap according to this TSB. I'm not aware of any head gasket upgrades from OEM, and I'm not sure of the construction of the OEM head gaskets. I haven't heard of head gasket issues being common on our engines. I echo the above suggestions to thoroughly degrease the engine bay and the underside of the engine and watch for leaks.

I wouldn't tolerate a hack job on any wiring. I went overkill with my stereo wiring. I soldered the wires, covered with electrical tape, then used zip ties to prevent the tape from potentially unrolling in the heat (I had no heatshrink available).

The OP's 2003 has a VQ35DE, but perhaps it's a moot point given the difficulty in relieving the trapped air that the OP encountered.

See page EM-10 for torque specs for all of the removed hardware, and EM-12 for the upper intake manifold bolts. RTV/gasket maker is unnecessary for replacement of the gaskets for the throttle body, upper intake manifold gaskets, and lower intake manifold gaskets.

The rear O2 sensors have nothing to do with engine performance, unless the upstream sensor(s) are failing, in which case the rear takes over. Bank 2 is the left (driver's side) of the vehicle. P0430 indicates catalytic converter below efficiency, not the O2 sensor, though. The FSM lists possible causes as the cat itself, exhaust tube, intake air leaks, injectors, injector leaks, spark plugs, or improper ignition timing. Where are you located in Florida, if you don't mind my asking?

Your failed jack might've leaked out all of its jack oil, refill it with some new oil or even ATF/PSF and it might start working again.

HIDs are garbage in the stock headlight housings on nearly every vehicle. They reflect a ton of glare, and actually make everything look more monochromatic versus halogen headlamps. More info than you probably care to read here. Relay your headlights, see this thread. Welcome to NPORA!

Many gear oils found in parts stores already contain LS additive. It'll be stated on the bottle whether it does.

The OP has an automatic transmission, so overfilling the FS5R30A transmission is not applicable to him. ++ on the drain plug set. Attempting to use a 1/2" head to remove the filler plug on my rear differential started to round it out.
