I did this mod a few days ago and I must say I like it, even though it's not quite such a pronounced difference as to be immediately noticeable. The shift pattern has been altered enough to notice, though. It seems like I can pull long hills and go up sand dunes easier with the lockup switch on now.

You'd check resistance between two points with the multimeter. I don't know offhand which two points, or I'd tell you.

Officially, you should set it with a multimeter to indicate when it's opening and closing. The FSM has the specs in it. It's not that much of a problem if it's a little bit off, just put it back on and center it if you really need it to drive.

Tried a harmonic balancer puller? Looks something like a steering wheel puller... -
Little change to the front end coming soon

I'll be adding red LED's to my stock tail-lights to add to the light output and visibility. Should be a nice compliment to the new 3rd brake light I put together. -
Yeah, as far as I know.

AC sells stuff at higher prices than most others. http://www.lildevilmotorsports.com/product...roducts_id=7885 See?

Hey, mine came yesterday. Thanks a ton, James. No pics yet cause I just got the mail and it's dark out.

Yep, it's your headlight switch. They tend to do that after a while.

They are if he has a 96-up Pathfinder. They have fully-locked drive flanges instead of locking hubs, so the CV's always spin, regardless of transfer case position... That's why people replace them with Warn hubs, so the CV's can sit still and not eat so much power from the drivetrain by just always moving.

I just wanted to let you all know that DJ Dank is such a cool guy that he's sending MrJim and myself each a pair of free decals. I just wanted to let him know that I really appreciate it and thanks for a really cool decal design for a bad-ass forum. Cheers, everybody.

No, the colors of the wires doesn't matter. Why would it? o.O Um, for $300, you could add a 50 HP nitrous kit. I HIGHLY doubt you'll get 10 HP from an ignition upgrade alone. It's very doubtful. More like 3 or 4 HP. Tops.

MSD spark wire purchase and install
88pathoffroad replied to onsight's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
somethingcool has them on his Pathfinder. I already said that above. READ THE POSTS, PEOPLE! -
Casey: try www.rocky-road.com or www.summitracing.com. You might have to call Summit to make sure they have 'em in stock, though. And don't let them tell you they won't fit an auto tranny-equipped Pathfinder, they fit just fine.

Ever wanted a brighter third brake light?
88pathoffroad replied to 88pathoffroad's topic in How-To's
Thanks. I've been wanting to do that for a while now. Now when I step on the brakes I can see the glare from the new lights on the back window. Heh. My GF says I need to change the taillight bulbs to LED's too cause they don't match. She said "The top one is so much redder and brighter than the bottom two". -
Yep, it still looks fine with 31's. Just do it!
-
If you buy new lights, they come with brackets you can probably use anyway. I'd try and see.
-
Hey, thanks. Good to see you around, man! Come on back any time.
-
They're not that bad. Takes a wrench and a ratchet and some time, that's all.
-
Wow.....just...wow. Thanks for the information, geezerpower.

Oh man. That's WAY too many questions for one person to answer. I'll take the first one. Pacesetter headers suck. They're made in Mexico by children wielding stick-welders. I'd aim for Thorley headers instead. Yes, they're more expensive, but they are WORTH it. I had a set of Pacesetters and after looking them over, I re-sold them on Ebay and called it a loss. The crossover pipe had a hole the size of a US Quarter blown in it with a torch, then the other pipe was welded on top. Crock of crap, man. You can get the Thorleys with chrome-nickel coating, which will undoubtedly also help prevent premature weathering or rusting of the headers. About the registration: well, if you took off the EGR equipment to make it easier to put the headers on...and didn't use a catalytic converter...or some such thing...it'd sure make things easier on you.

Oh, CHRIST. It broke the keys out of the crank. I'm sorry, man. That really sucks. I guess you can pull the heads and check to see if any valves got bent. If not (unlikely), you could still sell those or keep them as spares.

Pathfinder Rear Tire Rack
88pathoffroad replied to 02silverpathy's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
Whoever bids on that better live in Vermont and be able to pick it up personally, cause those things weigh upwards of 100 lbs. Not to mention the spare tire and wheel, too. Heh. -
Nonono, FWD beater cars are GREAT winter drivers. That way you can hit snow banks and curbs and stuff and it doesn't matter.
