  1. Sure, if you want to fix it. You can just swap the tach if you want.
  2. I don't think it is. I'd have to look to be sure, though.
  3. Aha, my bad. I didn't look when I had mine off the other day.
  4. Yep, it'll go click-click-click-click-click until you stop spinning it. Pics! The locker replaces all 4 spider gears with two side plates that lock into the side gears when the cross-shaft forces them outwards. The plates are spring-loaded with pins that keep them aligned when it's not locked.
  5. That statement is complete bull@!*% because the sensor is located on a hardline, not the pump itself. They just don't know that, or they were screwing with you.
  6. Just so you know, they call it a "Lincoln locker" because the welder most commonly used to weld stuff is made by Lincoln. It's a nickname for a modification, not a product made by someone. DO NOT do that to your front diff on a R50 unless you have manual hubs. I cannot stress that enough. Driving on the road with a welded front and stock drive flanges will probably result in a wreck due to loss of steering capability. The older Pathys have no drive flanges and you can do it safely on them.
  7. Yeah, the MM and HF winches are the same damn thing. Same controller on most of 'em, too.
  8. Check the battery terminals first, then the starter wiring, etc. The ECU won't have any error codes stored for a no-start like that. Mine went out one morning all of a sudden, but it'd been slowly getting worse day by day beforehand.
  9. The centerlink has to be replaced, there are no bushings on it, they're balljoints. The only poly bushes you need are UCA and swaybar, then. The rest all just plain get replaced totally. On the torsion bars, you can usually crank them up a bit to level it out without reindexing them.
  10. Have you even TRIED to run the codes? By the way, the ECU does store error codes...particularly the ones that make it run in Safe mode. It will record and store the codes until you disconnect the battery or the ECU.
  11. No. You can unplug the O2 sensor while it's running and it won't do anything but run on a pre-set table of values for fuel injection operation instead of using the O2 sensor for mixture/richness feedback. Been there, done that.
  12. Hey, I'm glad you liked the idea. Looking good!
  13. I can get one, but they're a real PITA to take off in the junkyard when the Pathys are all sitting on the ground with no tires. That's why I did this to mine:
  14. Ah, fun times. Yeah, old bearings that die usually take other things out with them. Sorry it had to happen to you.
  15. I think the different grooves are for manual or auto hubs. Autos use the outer ring groove and manuals use the inner groove. Is the axle pulled all the way into it's socket? Sometimes they like to retreat a little just enough so the c-clip won't go into the groove. I've seen a Pathy with Warn hubs on and no c-clip at all, (junkyard) apparently it worked for them.
  16. I swapped out an axle last weekend. Took about 2 hours, no biggie.
  17. Nope, they're Cherokee coils. Not from a Grand Cherokee at all.
  18. I count 8 coils on those. Am I seeing things? Look at MrPickles picture above and count and see what you think.
  19. Jayson, do you not have a book on that thing yet? You can't rely on people on the internet to give you all your info, you know.
  20. Usually they come out the starter hole, but I seem to remember a removable cover on the bottom of the front of the tranny... Do you have a FSM handy? Look it up.
  21. Only the WD21's. R50 coils are bigger diameter, aren't they?
  22. It's 2800 RPM's, and either your TPS or your MAF is damaged or unplugged. The ECU runs the engine in "safe mode" if either of those sensors is non-responsive to prevent leaning out the engine and causing damage via detonation. Check the throttle position sensor and the mass airflow sensor.
