  1. Someone just did a rebuild with pictures and part numbers. if I recall he got the rebuild kit off of Amazon for like $160.
  2. I want one of these for my 94....
  3. I don't either with my WARNs. Might be something to do with the fact I'm floored all the time... Though its generally 13mpg for me
  4. 1" your fine... With 3 inches of lift I keep blowing lower arm bushings.... 4x4parts makes a drop bracket, but it's only recommended for 3"+...and of course they are taking their usual slow as time getting it to me...
  5. Does anyone have a picture of their truck at approximately this angle? This is the Skid Row W/D22 Skid - I think it would fit. Only question I have is the front control arms
  6. Can you hear the damper door move when you go from hot to cold on the temperature dial? Mine is very audible. if that cable or connection has snapped the door will never open and no heat... thats right its getting colder on that side of the world isnt it....
  7. in the olden days it would have been considered a 3speed with overdrive. the earlier models just had a 3 speed (without overdrive).
  8. This stuff is PRICEY http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-Terrano-Pathfinder-4x4-Aoshima-1-24-Opened-Model-Kit-Truck-SUV-Stock-/350787599795?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item51ac91fdb3
  9. I returned mine to Stock as well - felt absolutely NO power difference, and in the increased filtration, water resistance and reliability of the stock intake is worth it to me,
  10. All old vehicles you would think would do this - most are simple switch/relay arrangements. on modern cars with BCM's...it can be programmed one way or the other I guess. BCM's are always active...
  11. Ok cool. I think my next step is to go back and see if I can acquire a Grill and cut it out...
  12. Precisely. with the 1992-on grill this is doable as there is no mesh backing. The other option I am thinking is just cutting out the middle entirely and replacing it with mesh. This would add some additional airflow as well - though I have plenty since I cut open the front of my bumper. I lived in Phoenix, AZ for 20 years...cooling is everything! lol
  13. Sorry my friend, I am not picturing what your saying. Are you talking about inserting the clips into the body and then screwing the grill to it? I would see you get that added lip worth of distance...right idea?
  14. Ok so heres some pictures. here are two fans from a Land Rover Discovery sitting between the condenser and bumper. They actually can sit lower too... Fans are ~2 inches thick. here the clearence between the stock grill and condensor, NO FANs. See the Problem? Not enough clearance between the GRILL and the Condesor to fit the fans. Here is me attempting to put the grill on with the fans inserted.. So I did some trimming... and NOW am able to get it to fit. Barely. Its wedged in there: However the grill is bulging a bit against the fans. I tried a 1988 grill in hopes that it work better, but same exact problem: the Plastic on the grill is too "deep" so I think this is definitely still doable. You'd have to just cut out the entire "Grill" part and replace with some nice Mesh.
  15. Disagree. Almost bought a 2005 Outback forester recently for the girl. Dependable, extremely simple, easy to maintain, AWD, fun to drive, and decent gas mileage.
  16. Sounds exactly like a vacuum leak to me.
  17. Update on this: tried the Land Rover fans. They fit on both sides and cleared the bumper (barely). HOWEVER the grill is not even close. I ended up cutting up a grill and got it to somewhat fit, but with alot of pressure on the fan(condensor). If you cut out the entire center section of the grill and put in some mesh I think it will work. More pictures here in a bit...
  18. Mine, probably not - its an AZ truck. I dont see the procedure really in the FSM. what do I do?
  19. so I went to the JY today, and it seemed to me that all the of JY trucks had just as much slack in the steering shaft as my truck. I define this as turning the steering wheel shaft without the pitman arm turning. So I didnt end of up getting any of them. I was talking to a gent though and he thought that there was a pre-load on top of the box....any thoughts?
  20. Your tuning would be, Burn new ROM, remove old ROM, put new ROM in, figure out your next changes, Burn a new EPROM, install it, check it, figure out your changes etc etc etc. So no, not quite as easy as ODBII tuning lol!
  21. that to me is crazy, that sucker just hangs down there... Did WD22 or D22 come with a Oil pan skid? Bet it would fit.
  22. My understanding is the pathfinder MAF is a huge downer in performance. You might have yourself a little business here sir if you get it all working....
