  1. This is crazy to me. I drove pre-production D40's and had one in early 05...closer to 9 years ago. WOW. (also had an 07)
  2. Enjoy it!!!!! I can't believe the timing. It needs a plaque with all the former owners on it or something lol.
  3. Does it clear the wiper? I couldn't get mine to clear the wiper with the stock tire on. I now have mine mounted vertically on the right (hinge) side.
  4. Quite a different suspension. 5 link and torsion bars, verses leafs and coil overs. that said it still a body on frame, solid rear axle part time 4wd SUV. just with another 120HP
  5. master cylinder fluid low is ABS and BRAKE lights at the same time.
  6. The block is different and good luck getting one to fit...
  7. Good choice, I helped my ex buy a 2007 Mazda3 2.3i. Really fun little car!
  8. Well you can only do so much at an AutoShow, though jeep has an excellent display every year. They even get some tires off the ground... as for the trucks themselves... Fancy offroad packages are what sell. They make a TON of money at them. Thats why Nissan started doing it too. Our trucks all came with LSDs, Skid Plates, and excellent off-road skills, but 95% of the population didn't care, and all it added was extra cost, weight, and maintenance. You'll notice starting with R51/N40/D40 - you have to get a package. So now the consumer gets what they want, a lighter cheaper, less complicated vehicle, and for people that actually need offroad ability, there's a package for that..for which the company can charge you boku bucks. The new Toyota Pro Offroad package is just like that goes a little in the right direction by adding some capability, but people attempting to compare it with the Raptor have no idea what they are talking about. Most people just buy Raptors cause they look cool, and so do the new TRD's. The difference is the Raptor has some SERIOUS capability built in...major modifications that make a huge difference in performance.
  9. They arent cheap http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=80201&endYear=2015&modelCode1=VEHICROSS&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=1981&makeCode1=ISU&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&searchRadius=100&mmt=%5BISU%5BVEHICROSS%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=364344908&listingIndex=1&Log=0
  10. We had a first gen QX56, not that long ago. I loved that thing...
  11. I just bought the entire set from Nissan, INCLUDING the ignition. but that way it used the same key. It was not cheap though....
  12. At least it still has some offroad cred. Skids, tow hooks, Low range, locking transfer, and a locking rear diff....Add in all the computer magic, and I would hazard a guess that unless your rock crawling, the STOCK new ones is better off-road then the old. Obviously you can modify a helluva lot more on the old one....
  13. I need to at least do the pad swap on mine as mine has several large cracks.... Let us know how it goes.
  14. But its got a 305! I think our last 305 put out a whopping 165HP.....2 Barrel
  15. They test for DUI too, people still do it. Not a huge deal, but something I've noticed. People definitely drive slower here then they did in Phoenix....now we know why!
  16. Honestly, its getting bad on the motorcycle. I'll pull behind a car on the highway and immediately have to change lanes cause its overpowering....
  17. We call it legal recreation here in Colorado
  18. Doesn't sound like a Thermostat stuck open to me. Mine sits at 1/4 all the time, and will cool at high speed when its really cold. I KNOW mine is good. when its 0 or in the negatives, It wont hold temp at idle. 170F stat, relatively new heat doesnt work worth a damn. Now my dad's hardbody? that has a bad stat, doesnt even make it 1/8th. I need to go to a 180 just simply for the heat, but its pricey since I have to have a shop do it. Mike
  19. Looks like a C-47 with Normandy colors to me very cool.
  20. Has anyone had a shop put these on? Any idea how many hours it took them? I have a 2 inch body lift and have had both manifolds replaced once, so I don't anticipate any stud difficulties, I also don't want to put Logs back on...as this is the 2nd cracked set on this truck.
  21. Remember gasoline evaporates - if it was "Damp" its leaking.... I seem to have to tighten mine once a winter but then it doesn't give me any more trouble...
