  1. I checked my MPG the other day. I'm only hitting 11 MPG. Horrible, but my O2 sensor is bad.
  2. Interesting. I've thought about trying a cabin filter but never bit the bullet on it. I'm kinda tired of getting dirt in my face everytime I turn on the blower. Wind and desert living make for lots of dirt in the ducts.
  3. I bought a cobra 75 something. Everything is contained in the handset/mic thing (I know, technical terms lol). Just has a little box to mount that it plugs into. I mounted the box under the Driver's side of the dashboard, Just to the left of the radio and keep the mic in the center console for when I need it.
  4. Transmission got flushed. Shifts a lot better now.
  5. You must be landing awfully hard! Nothing on mine today. Just driving it.
  6. Not much. Took it the gas station and met another gut with a Pathy he was working on also. Nice!
  7. Hey bud and welcome. I can't answer most of the questions as I haven't done my swap yet. New motor is on the engine stand (1996 Pathfinder motor) but this has been documented here by many. Mr.510 sells an adapter to make it plug and play (the motor). I know there is some work with the oil pump pick up tube and possibly on the brackets for the accessories. Don't remember at the moment though. Nefarious has done this swap on a couple of rigs. Maybe he will chime in but search and you will find
  8. That's pretty awesome, Nefarious. Waiting to see what you come up with. I don't even know where my front skid plate is anymore . I took it off years ago for some reason. wasn't very useful anyways. Changed my oil, cleaned the MAF and fixed a broken exhaust hanger. No more exhaust banging around on the trans cross member and the motor seems to respond a bit better. Still need to do the O2 sensor. It just doesn't want to budge.
  9. Damn o2 sensor will come out, one way or another lol. Still need to clean the MAF. Motor runs smooth now, though rich, because of the O2 sensor. I replaced a bunch of vacuum lines but may have missed one or two.
  10. Linux is the best Now back to your regularly scheduled topic
  11. No smog checks here at all. I never really thought, or looked into, about the MAF in our Pathys. I'm not gonna go as in depth as you are. Just swap like I said earlier. Will be very interesting to see what you can do with the reprogramming and all . What about the MAF from the VG33 in the Pathy?
  12. Question about the MAF. What needs to be done to have the motor work with a bigger MAF, not plug and play? Was just talking to my buddy about a bigger MAF on his Mustang (to go with his other upgrades). I have a VG33 sitting in the garage I haven't had time to mess with. I'm thinking of having my buddies shop swap it for me along with the VG30E cams and Mr. 510's adaptor.
  13. Worked for Intel for 10 years repairing equipment that made the computer chips. Got layed off a few years ago. Now I manage all the military movements for New Mexico. Talk about a career change.
  14. This sounds pretty awesome! Nice work so far. I'm an EET, shoulda went EE. It's been so long since I messed with programming chips f I wouldn't know what I was doing, especially on the Pathy.

    Body lifts

4x4parts has them for the 94-94 Pathys. something to do with a change to the rear mounting bolts. Don't remember the actual change ATM though.
  16. I only had one in my '94. Maybe California emissions truck?? I'm gonna have to look into that muffler. The Thrush glasspack I put in is loud and obnoxious. Just needed something after i removed the cat and muffler (they were toast).
  17. Update time! Hey all, been gone for a bit. Had to go to Fort Bliss for a few weeks so couldn't do anything to the Pathy. Finally got the IACV gasket i needed when I got back. Only cost $3 but Nissan had to order it. The gasket came in just in time to take the family camping, so no messing with the Pathy for another little bit. Finally got to work on it this weekend. Put all the new parts in and after jumping it with my Sentra... she lives! The motor runs better than it has in years. Still low on power but that's normal. Drove it a couple miles to my buddies to test it out. The motor is idle-ing and running pretty well but my CEL came on. I ran the codes and it shows 33 and 34, O2 and knock sensor. I already have a new 02 sensor for it but haven't been able to get the old one out, even after a week of PB Blaster. I think that is what is causing the code 34. One weird issue it is having is, when you are at a stop and floor it the truck won't barely move and RPMs take a bit to go up before it goes. It just seems to bog. If you ease into the throttle it goes all right. I have had weird issues with it before that seem to be trans related but i found a '97 trans, torque converter, xsfer case and driveshaft for $300 i might call on. Gonna change the fuel filter and flush the trans for now to see if that helps. 220k miles on it and still kicking though.
  18. You can get some lift in front just by adjusting the torsion bars in the front suspension. I believe you can get about an inch without affecting your ball joint angles and such. There are aftermarket UCAs or ball joint spacers that are supposed to allow you to lift the truck up a little higher and maintain stock or (close to) ball joint angles.
  19. No, those are more aggressive than mine. Forget which style I got but they look like BFG KOs. They do really well in the loose sand we have here. Had them about two years.
  20. I've bought used tires with good results several times. I am really liking my Treadwrights though. Right around $400 shipped to my door and have been great tires.
  21. These motors are well known for going way over 200K miles. Timing bet is a must if you don't know when it was changed.
  22. Didn't know about the F250 shocks, interesting. I'm in the market for shocks. My old Procomps have about had it. Thanks.
  23. So I'm not the only one who got locked int the Pathy then lol? My wife still gives crap on that. The power locks don't work at all anymore now though.
  24. Hello, DTP511, from Rio Rathole! Sorry cant help wtih th e '88 sizes. My '94 has 6.5" in the doors if that helps. Probably not though
  25. IAC valve should come in today. Won't be able to put it on today though. My hand needs to heal a bit more. Keeping it wrapped with Silvadeen (sp?) on it. Was helping my buddy guide the compactor for a while. Didn't even think about it. I usually wear gloves for everything but just ran by to see how things were going. Porch is gonna be nice though. Pathy should run better after all the carbon and crap I cleaned out of everything and with the new parts. I'm hoping anyway.
