  1. You can get some lift in front just by adjusting the torsion bars in the front suspension. I believe you can get about an inch without affecting your ball joint angles and such. There are aftermarket UCAs or ball joint spacers that are supposed to allow you to lift the truck up a little higher and maintain stock or (close to) ball joint angles.
  2. Banned for not being a mechanic and because I cant think of the nickname!!
  3. No, those are more aggressive than mine. Forget which style I got but they look like BFG KOs. They do really well in the loose sand we have here. Had them about two years.
  4. LOL! Banned for not knowing the flight speed of an unladen swallow!
  5. I've bought used tires with good results several times. I am really liking my Treadwrights though. Right around $400 shipped to my door and have been great tires.
  6. These motors are well known for going way over 200K miles. Timing bet is a must if you don't know when it was changed.
  7. My rear doors occasionally freak out and won't open from the outside. Works fine from the inside. I just ended up replacing the internal rods, handle and mechanism. Worked fine after that. Still don't know what caused it. Everything looked fine when I removed it. Did it to both sides now Oh and welcome
  8. Didn't know about the F250 shocks, interesting. I'm in the market for shocks. My old Procomps have about had it. Thanks.
  9. Hey B, that's kinda funny. Mainly have dogs here though. Can I substitute dog. The neighbors dog never stops barking . How'd the lamb curry turn out? When I eat Indian I always go for the lamb vindaloo. Awesome stuff

Karmann, seems like your blazing through the U.S. quickly. Santa Fe is nice to visit though you couldn't pay me enough to live there. And I work there. Live right outside Albuquerque and drive in everyday. We had some nice storms and lightning the last couple days. A rare treat here in the desert.
  11. So I'm not the only one who got locked int the Pathy then lol? My wife still gives crap on that. The power locks don't work at all anymore now though.
  12. Hello, DTP511, from Rio Rathole! Sorry cant help wtih th e '88 sizes. My '94 has 6.5" in the doors if that helps. Probably not though
  13. IAC valve should come in today. Won't be able to put it on today though. My hand needs to heal a bit more. Keeping it wrapped with Silvadeen (sp?) on it. Was helping my buddy guide the compactor for a while. Didn't even think about it. I usually wear gloves for everything but just ran by to see how things were going. Porch is gonna be nice though. Pathy should run better after all the carbon and crap I cleaned out of everything and with the new parts. I'm hoping anyway.
  14. I didn't bother cleaning it. I just removed it and bought new. It's actually not too bad. The hoses in the back are a pain though. Pricey part too.

  16. From what I've seen the Idle Air control Valve can do that also. I'm waiting on a new one to fix the same issues, hopefully. It's under the intake plenum at the back, driver's side. Others thatmhave more experience will probably give more/better advice, though.
  17. Cleaned the EGR and diverter thingy. Completely full of carbon. Also changed the coolant temperature sensor. Still waiting for the IAC valve.
  18. Ban Devion for not having enough minions. I have 2 minions (kids). Just how many is enough though lol
  19. After I cut the skin off. No xylocaine then though. Beer helped!
  20. Well, here it is anyway lol. Gonna be hard to work on anything for a bit.
  21. ECU amazingly did not get wet. Water came in on the driver's side mainly. Carpet is still drying out. I cleaned out the EGR and the diverter? since I had things apart. They were completely blocked with carbon. Cleaned the butterfly in the intake as well as it was nasssty. Carpet will have to be removed and cleaned. I'm off tomorrow but have school work to do (started my Master's) and my hand is jacked up. Went to my buddies and ran a tamper to compress the dirt for a new porch. DON'T run a tamper with no gloves. Ripped all the skin off my palm on my my right hand. Hurt like a b**ch once I realized it. Wifey wanted me to go to urgent care. Worried about infection. I was a Combat Medic still have medical supplies. Xylocaine is great lol! She was an EMT as well. So I had her clean it up better when I got home. I cut off all the ripped up skin and bandaged it with antibiotic ointment. It'll be fine . Hard to type though. She took a picture if anyone wants to see it lol.

    Road trip. Nice!
  23. Here is an update for you guys. I pulled the plugs and the fuse for the fuel pump. Plugs were a pain cause mud was packed in on top of the plugs. Couldn't get a socket on until i used my compressor to blow the mud out. Anyways, a lot of water came out when i cranked the motor. Cranked it a few times until it stopped spitting and replaced everything. Took a minute to start but it started . Ran like poo but it ran. Drove it around the block. Idles around 400 rpm and has no power. Once it revs up, with full throttle, it runs ok. Barely moves with full throttle coming from a stop until RPMs climb, but it takes a bit. Ordered the IACV and replaced the coolant temp sensor. Pretty sure the IACV crapped out. Truck would barely idle before it got dunked and would die when you let off the gas. Won't be here until Tuesday though and was $140 everywhere I looked. Tried to replace it with the one from 3.3L but they are different. Guess I'll clean the interior until the part comes in. But hey it runs
  24. I'm home now. Gonna mess around with the Pathy. I'll give an update in a while.
