  1. The U joints should be the first place to look for a vibration. But you said the rear is hopping at low speeds, that sounds like a tire that separated a belt. With it up on stands and the tires turning did you notice a lump in the tread on either tire? James
  2. I'm good, some of my friends got water in their house but not me. My house looked like an island but none inside. The water has gone down now I have grass again! James
  3. Love the rifle rack! Every vehicle should come factory with one of those. How did you bolt them to the side of the truck? Can you get some close up pics of that? James
  4. I was going to start pulling the trans to change the pilot bearing but it started raining and wouldn't stop. She is sitting in around 3" of water on my slab in the back yard. Worst flood we had in 20 years. The town of Carencro is flooded bad, I think everyone got water in there house. They even had to close Interstate 10 for a while. James
  5. Thats some really nice work! But won't stuff still rattle when hanging from the racks? I guess it won't slide around this way. Good job! James
  6. That is exactly what I want to build! That way I can keep the rear seats usable. I just need a battery box on one side with a shelf for the inverter, and a rifle rack for when I'm hunting. James
  7. He's getting mine ceramic coated right now. James
  8. I was on a waiting list with SteeevO from October last year. I guess he never got enough people to complete the run so I emailed him to take me off the list. James
  9. Mine moves the fender out a little when I close it but I don't get any leaks that I know of. I did have a leak from the rear window at one time. Crap gets in between the window and the seal after a while. When hitting hard bumps I can hear the window bounce on the seal. Just clean the seal often to keep it from leaking and do the same with the gate seal. James
  10. I've been wanting to build a drawer system kind of like that. During hunting season my back seats stay down and I have crap piled every where. I use an action packer and a few canvas bags for the regular stuff that stays in the truck so If I could have all that in a couple of drawers It would save some clutter and maybe I could keep the seat up. I have a big military first aid bag that I think I'm going to try and mount to the rear deck like an xterra. Currently I'd bleed to death trying to find it in an emergency. And hell black tape is good for lots of stuff. Ask a crew boat hand. James
  11. That's why I'm stuck on the Diehard and wanting to pay more for it. I heard really good things about Odyssey batterys just not many people want to pay the price. The Diehard is cheaper than an odyssey so I still might go that way. James
  12. I wasn't going to add anything to this thread but I agree with tungsten! Huh? What? That has never happened before! I don't climb trees or rocks so I don't think I'll break a auto hub. I did switch to manuals because I found a set cheap and I lock them when I get to the camp but I'm always worried I forget to unlock them. And yes I'm lazy too, we are the only hunting camp I know of with an automatic remote gate. James
  13. Damn could I abuse on that statement! My wife really knows better than saying that! Lol! The first thing I would need to keep me happy would be a Barret M82A1! James
  14. I don't know what AC sales and don't know the price either but I do recommend http://www.frozenrotors.com/ I bought a set of front slotted rotors and hawk performance pads for my 06 titan. They solved the warping problem I had and stop much better. At first the pedal felt mushy to me because I was used to pressing it much harder to get the same amount of stopping power. Also with the cryo treatment they should never warp. So far I have 10K miles on them and they are still fine. The factory rotors were warped in 3500 miles. Keith is a member here because he drives a pathfinder too. He is also a really great guy. Check out the site. James
  15. I never use the fork to get any joints apart. Just shock it with a BFH. Hit on the part that the tapered stud is in. After a few good hits it will fall out. James
  16. No one doubts that when you are finished with something, it is finished! Lol! James
  17. It won't match our bell housing so you will have to find a solution to that. You may be able to swap part of your trans case like slick250 did for his VG30DE swap but I don't know if the bell housing is the same as any V6 block. I looked into this swap too but decided to go with a VG34 instead. The VG34 will bolt right in and should give me all the power I need in this small truck. James
  18. Just remember that 4.3 won't last as long as a well built VG motor! James
  19. That second pic doesn't look too bad but it's still needs something in the rear to match. I won't have a chance to get back to the yard till at least Sunday. James
  20. I've been searching the web for reviews but it seems they are pretty new and everyone is just getting them. At least not to many are having problems yet. I had planned on a diehard platinum for my titan but these are alot cheaper. There are alot more auto zones around if I have problems but we only have one sears here. Now I'm really confused! James
  21. Anyone have one of these? They are cheap! They have a 750 cca for $130. I usually don't trust auto zone brand parts but my brother swears by there batteries. Their price is alot cheaper than an optima with less cca. James
  22. I thought about classic plates but there is a limit on the mileage per year and the vehicle has to be completely stock. With all the ethanol we have in our gas now she drinks enough! I don't want her to turn into an alcoholic! James
  23. Love that description! They must not have made very many because someone would run out of fingers! I'm going to have to get one of those smooth hoods, I never liked the look of the vents. As much time as I spend in the pick a part I never noticed this before. Yea maybe he liked driving through brick walls or something. I didn't pull the fenders because I think they look ridiculous! Maybe if the rest of the truck was set up to match it would look better. I can pull them if someone wants them but pick a part wants around $35 per fender and the shipping on these things would probably be around the same price. Believe me without matching fenders in the back and around 15" wide tires they would not look good on a pathfinder. James
  24. I hit the pick a part today to check out some recent hardbody additions. First I found that Lafayette must be hiding some master bumper builders! If I had realized this before buying my KMA I probably could have saved some money! Thats one bad ass civic right there, will you look at that! I found a 92 extended cab with some huge fenders. I grabbed the manual hubs but the fenders were in perfect condition, no cracks and hadn't even been painted to match the truck. With fenders this big and ridiculous in the front what could be put on the back so it wouldn't look ignorant. Did someone make a rear swole fender too? Also what's up with the smooth hood? Did a certain year hardbody come with no hood vents? James
  25. And she is still young at heart with only 116K on the clock. James
